flcl, I wanna add my admiration. That's awesome that you are still going strong with BFing. Such a beautiful thing.
In other news, I shaved my legs. It took all my energy but I got it done. I am ready for bed now.
Oh God. Was I supposed to do this before my appt tomorrow?? I just got out of the shower (remembered unlike yesterday, haha), but I totally didn't shave.
Should I get back in, dry shave tomorrow morning, or not worry about it? My leg hair is probably 1/16 to 1/8 long. Stubble.
I wouldn't worry about it. You'll see them again and you can make a clean shaven impression next time.
ashtog, yikes on the toddler slapping you!! LO has picked up that bad habit but my mom and I are usually the only ones on the receiving end of those slaps.
eameselephant, I wouldn't worry about your legs. They're going to see a whole lot more of you so they probably won't even notice!
flcl it was really shocking! And they were both kind of stunned and no one really knew what to do- like did this just happen? Our son just slapped the photographer? So I laughed it off and assured them that kids are just sometimes like that and that he's 3 and is adjusting to his new brother etc it's to be expected lol.
ashtog I feel the same way! But I was away from DS for two days last weekend and didn't respond well to the pump so it kickstarted the whole process. I'm having way more feels then I thought I would.
Does anyone watch outlander? We just caught up, and there was a scene last week that has me feeling all shaken up..
I watch it!! I had just convinced my H to start watching it with me again after the jail scenes last season.. I don't think I'll be able to get him to watch anymore after this last week's episode

heybulldog56, i like you new avatar. And I LOVE orange crushes. We got one of these babies for Christmas a few years ago, and our family requires that we bring it on vacay with us in the summers.
rinny, so glad to hear your H is okay! Ugh, I hate motorcycles. I'm always so scared for the people riding them.
ashtog, I'm over here still nursing my 20 month old when she wakes up in the morning and sometimes when she goes to bed. She's probably only getting a few ounces daily, so I don't think it's affecting me to much right now. But I agree with the NOPE Octopus on tandem nursing. I'm sure it could be a beautiful thing... but not for me. I'm too impatient and if #2 is anything like DD when it comes to constant nursing for the first 6 months? Hell to the no.
judyblume14 yep. DS was a cluster feeder for 2 or 3 days every month or so and all I did was nurse and I thought I would lose my mind. I couldn't imagine nursing him and a nb, I would never have my boobs to myself
We did an all inclusive a few years ago, in puerta vallarta, it was so amazing. we always planned on going back for a baby moon. Fucking Zika. Now I get Vegas instead, too dry for mosquitoes I'm told.
I love Vegas!! The food is amazing.... Mmmmmm
What do you recommend?? I don't gamble, so I'm saving my money for food! I really want to go to Rick Moonan's for the ice cream test! Rick Moonan Ice Cream Challenge

rinny, hugs! was he wearing a helmet?? This is my biggest fear of my FIL, and he won't wear a helmet because "it messes up his hair" it makes me want to scream!
silvermelody and ashtog , you are both my BFing idols. I hope to BF for as long as possible this time around.
Awww, thank you. This is really sweet
My son and I struggled a LOT in the first six weeks (low supply, flat nipples, he had a tongue tie) and I did have to supplement with formula for about 6-8 weeks but once he stopped grinding my nipples to death we got into a good groove.
And toddler nursing is nothing like newborn or even infant nursing. My son climbs on my lap, asks for "boops" or just pulls on my shirt, latches for maybe 10 seconds, switches sides (sometimes back and forth) and then is done. 3 minutes max. He's been nursing sitting up since around 11 months old and not needing the dang pillow was a lifechanger, haha.

silvermelody, that makes me admire you even more! It also gives me hope for this time. I had all the same issues: tongue and lip tie, low supply. I made it three months before my milk quit on me despite an RX, oatmeal, water, pumping 10x a day, etc.
I hope to start pumping ASAP and doing whatever I can to boost my supply from the start this time.

heybulldog56 my low supply was likely due to Insufficient Glandular Tissue growth during pregnancy due to (or partly due to) my PCOS.
I am a stubborn one. And my fiance was extremely supportive and kept encouraging me because he knew I didn't really want to quit. Without him I would have given up or done more formula probably.
I'm so sorry you had a tough time too. There is a small percentage (5%?) of women that just can't breastfeed for various reasons, and you aren't the only one I know. I hope it's easier for both of us this time!
