1) I really hope I don't go into labor today because our house is a complete disaster and I don't want my in-laws coming over right now to watch C.
2) otherwise I really do want to go into labor as I am feeling uncomfortable.
3). L and I need to be better at cleaning every night. At least until the baby comes.
4). Part of me still feels like I'm not ready. Like we need to get more things. I started buying some stuff on Amazon last night.
5) we have practically everything We need since we are having another girl. But C was a winter baby, so I bought some light weight swaddle blankets. I should probably stock up on wipes too since we will be using a lot more. And get some disposables just in case.
6) I'm hoping I can keep L on board with cloth diapering with the new baby, at least while she is exclusively breastfed and the poop isn't as bad.
7) I also want my in-laws on board with potty training C while we are at hospital but o have a feeling they will put some pull ups on her.
8) I sort of get it because poopy pants are a lot more of a pain to clean up but I really don't want her to regress!
9) I should really be cleaning the house now but I am seriously tired and can't wait to take a nap with C.
2. Time to start packing everything I've been holding packing.
3. Mom had surgery last night to fix an issue from last surgery and it went well.
4. I'm ready to be down there.
5. Repairs on our house start today.
6. Just got a bid for $5k to fix the water in the crawl. Fuuuck.
7. It's a two cups of coffee type of morning. For sure.
8. I did one big Costco trip for provisions last week but may go again for more paper towels and such. Oregon has no sales tax so I'm trying to be thrifty and save as much by buying in bulk up here.
9. It hit me last night that I'm two weeks I'm basically unemployed. Business up here is still going but it won't be the same.

1. This board has been too, too quiet lately. Where is everyone? If you're lurking, come out and play.
2. I really want to eat pizza for dinner instead of what I made.
3. It's cold out and I have my ac blasting. You know I'm running that bad boy so I get my money's worth before we sell.
4. Tomorrow it's suppose to be 90 out.
5. I'm thinking about tackling Costco with the boys on Thursday. I'm pathetic because I feel like a bad ass when I take both kids out on a big excursion alone.
6. Oh, the exciting life of a SAHM.
7. I need to run and swim. I haven't done either in almost 2 weeks and I feel crappy about it.
8. I want my house to seellllll......pleezzzzzz!
9. So glad to see myself practicing being Zen about the whole thing..*eye roll*.
10. I can't wait to pick the boys up from day care today. I miss them.
1. mahler5, I was the same way. I would have these nights where I thought my labor would be super fast and what if it was the night it would start and I had us tidying until late. Turns out my labor was long and it was never one of those nights. But you never know.
2. Day two of attempting to wean the swaddle by leaving one arm out.
3. M did great on all of our flights! We had such a fun time back on the east coast. It always takes me a few days to adjust to being back and in a smaller town again. But once I do, I really enjoy it! Looking forward to our next trip.
4. I caught a cold and now have laryngitis. I'm feeling a lot better than I felt over the weekend. Hoping I feel better and can go to Stroller Strides tomorrow. Didn't want to be THAT person who shows up sick.
5. We need to go to the grocery store to get some fresh food. We got back last night and haven't had time to go yet. Having something from the freezer for lunch today.
CET's
6. It's chilly for LA this week, especially after being in Dallas this weekend.
7. So proud of our little travel buddy. She spent a lot of time on flights and in airports, and stayed pretty happy and quiet the whole time. The adventures wore her out though, she slept a lot yesterday.
8. I go to Doha on Friday....I've planned very little, if any, for it.
9. This is going to be a busy work week.
10. I think it's going to be a fun summer. We have lots of plans we're putting together.

What work needs to be done JustJudy ? Anything major? We bit the bullet and had the interior entryway painted, you're right, it looks so much better!
Yay! I hope that turns into a higher offer for you.
Theyll need to put in a French drain to a sump pump in the low point bc there was water found in the crawl space. Technically there is likely a simpler fix but I don't have time to flush that out so here we go. The buyer asked for like a million things to be fixed and we only agreed to about 1/4 of them so I think we made out ok in the end.

2. L has been out of commission with a migraine since Sunday afternoon and now is out for work all week (gone before we get up in the AM and back after everyone goes to bed.)
3. The kids go for an overnight camping trip tomorrow night. I think I have them ready to go!
4. We do need to stop at Target to get them pillows to take with them (theirs are too fluffy to fit in the suitcase) and s'more stuff to donate.
5. I am a never ending pit. All I want to do at work is eat. PMS.

And I agree, where is everyone?
Buyers can be pretty unreasonable sometimes. I'm sure you've heard it all as an agent.
All this talk of Costco is making me sad we don't have a Costco nearby!
And I agree the board is way too quiet!
And C just woke up.
This is horrible. What ever do you do?? We are a Costco family. I had kids just so I could justify my Costco purchases
I know! It's a tragedy. They would do well in our town too. I've only been a Costco shopper pre-parenthood and don't feel like I really took advantage of it. I should really go when I'm at my moms more often!

Every time I get up off the couch from a lying position I have a huge BH contraction. At least I think they are braxton hicks. I'm currently laying down watching TV with C andmaking the wife clean. I just feel bad because she got 3 hours of sleep last night and is exhausted.
I wonder if I will go into labor soon. These Braxton hicks are really frequent but do subside when I lie down. I had them with C too but not this many I don't think. I'm full term now though so I guess I'll just relax and see what happens. I had a friend that was in preterm labor for 3 weeks before her doctor would Induce her!
1. karlamo, we had homemade pizza (gluten free). It was yummy!
2. Costco came to our town about a year ago. We have yet to get a membership. We already had BJs and Sams though. I think it might be worth it just for the gas. Otherwise I feel like we would just buy stuff cause it's Costco.
3. Stuff is coming together for our trip. I'm so nerdy cause I'm so excited. I realize now that NOTHING has happened very exciting in my life in the past 2 years. (obviously being a parent but life as I knew it certainly stopped).
4. I got to take O to the zoo today. It was fun but we need to do afternoon activities. She only napped for an hour since we got home well after her normal nap time.
5. I was just listening to an NPR podcast about the gender wage gap. Makes me want to barf.
6. There is a new project in town with my company. I hear more money but it's a 2000 person call center. I don't think I want any part of that.
7. My relationships with my parents are very strained I have realized. I think I don't really know how to interact with them as an adult. They are divorced so it's each of them separately. I'm having a tough time figuring it out.
8. I would really like to buy a bigger house.
9. I also would like a car that isn't rusted.
10. I'm excited about swim lessons with O tomorrow. She's such a little fish lately!
Has anyone tried making cauliflower crust pizza? I'm curious but haven't tried it yet.
And we have a Costco membership. My parents added us to their account. I do find I never spend less than $150 whenever I go. We are still using disposable diapers and they have good prices on Huggies. Random Tuesday Costco thoughts....

DW has made "bread sticks" with the cauliflower and liked it a lot. We use cauliflower a lot as rice. We found cauliflower crumbles at Target sometimes, and they have it in the frozen section of TJs.
We have both a Sams and Costco memberships. We get different things at different places. When the kids were babies, it was our Friday night date night to go to Costo and to get diapers, wipes, and formula (when we had to start supplementing them) and have dinner at the snack bar. And then once the transitioned to regular food, we had to buy a case of soy milk every week. Now our trips are more random and really only when we need to provide soccer snacks/sunday school snacks/etc.
1. I realize it's Wednesday and I'm late to the party. 2. I'm feeling more confident in our baby status at almost 11 weeks 3. therefor, I'm here to do my part in decreasing the quietness 4. We saw Florence and The Machine last night! Amaze. 5. Late night. Not much sleep. 6. My work requires me to be attentive and present. I'm fresh out of all of that. 7. Frozen pizza and a few episodes of the Knick hopefully in my future. 8. Hump day blues. 9. 3 day weekend ahead! 10.

Jumping in
1. So, I took the plunge and ordered some cloth sanitary towels. Started with the 'one change' philosophy and worked my way up pretty quickly. I've had them p/t about three days now and can't believe I didn't do this sooner. Plus, these came from the same SAHM collective that produced my fave wetbag so we're supporting mum-preneurs
2.Pulled off my first back carry to pram transfer this week without waking S up and I felt like Supermama! I'm a little disappointed that it came right at the end of our sling hire (the one we were using up till now wasn't working for me in a back carry so we've been borrowing from the sling library) We have another Nappucino meet tomorrow and just out of curiosity, I may just have to try the ring sling before settling on a toddler carrier (the front runner so far is a connecta)
3. Mastered the recipe that A's mother gave me. Huge deal! A)until 4 years ago, A was not out to her parents - Peru is pretty conservative - and now I, her partner, am using a family recipe. B) I'm not a great cook. I can cook but I don't like to and it shows, unfortunately. Now, here I am. Turning out international cuisine, lol.
4. We've found an alternative to the stay and play I've been taking little S to! Last week, the weather was very wet and it seemed like everyone in the neighbourhood was in the community centre. I went into complete sensory overload almost from the minute we entered. After ten minutes, I couldn't take it any more. I just scooped up S and ran home in tears. After that, A finally got the message that I just couldn't keep doing this. She reached out to friends all over the city and we heard back about a soft play café that is relatively quiet on a Thursday morning term-time. I'm not sure what we'll do during the summer but for now, it's so nice waking on Thursdays without that sick, anxious feeling and I can feel more positive about socialising little S.
5. S has suddenly gone off meat. She never liked fish and started rejecting it after a few meals. And she rarely seemed to enjoy chicken since we introduced it but we could usually tempt her with a lean sausage every so often. Now she spits out all meat and refuses (with force) any attempts to encourage her to eat it. We will continue to make sporadic attempts to re-introduce meat into her diet but if she doesn't want to eat it, nobody in this house is forced to eat something they really don't want. My mother has been a vegetarian since she was very young and my sister didn't eat meat for most of her life up until a couple years ago. I can handle a vegetarian meal plan. The fact that A doesn't eat much meat (she prefers seafood) does make me the only true meat-lover in the household. Looks like I won't be able to justify the big roasting joints of my childhood *heavy sigh*
6. It's getting closer to the big Referendum date. Will the UK stay within the EU, or are we facing Brexit? Word on the street suggests it's pretty close. I'm not going to talk politics here. Just filling up my TTT; and this is *the* hotly debated subject of the moment on this side of the pond.
7. I've just put lentils to soak overnight but I have no idea what I'm going to do with them. Dahl? Stew?
8. Perhaps Dahl. If I find the time (and the ingredients) make an Indian buffet for a change. My brother in law is from Northern India and taught me a few quick and easy recipes that A doesn't know I can prepare yet. Whatd'ya recon? Surprise the OH with an impromptu Indian buffet?
9. Feeling good about our household's environmental impact. A friend was talking about taking up the plastic free July challenge. I'm not sure if we could manage that but it started me thinking about all of the things that we do do: cloth nappies and (soon) CSPs for both of us, recycling everything that we can, reuseable shopping bags, no car. I recently checked household products for microbeads. We use soapnuts for detergent and hairwashing. We might not be eco-warriors but yeah - we're on the right side of the curve and it feels good.
10. Wow! I had more to say this week than I thought I did.

10. Wow! I had more to say this week than I thought I did.
Sounds like you all are doing great with being environmentally responsible! I have been feeling pretty guilty since we moved further out of town and I end up driving two and from town sometimes twice a day now! So, I need to be better about that and do other things to compensate. Maybe I'll try the momma cloth after I start cloth diapering with the new baby!
2. Sorry I have been MIA. We are moving on Saturday, and it has been utter chaos the last week or so getting everything ready on both ends.
3. I am working in the office until noon today, then home to hopefully work from the couch while William naps so J can go over to the new house and paint the downstairs powder room.
4. We at the very last minute decided to redo the downstairs powder room (the toilet was leaking and our plumber said it needed to be replaced, so we just pulled the trigger on replacing all the fixtures in there since we HATED the vanity and sink that were in there anyway. J is painting today, and tomorrow the plumber is coming back to install the new toilet, vanity, sink, etc. I think it is going to look great!
5. We have had a series of issues with deliveries that has just made my stress level higher than usual. There was an issue connecting our new fridge, our new rug for the playroom was damaged and had to be sent back, so we won't get that until after move-in, there was a delay in shipping our new playroom couch, so it looks like that won't be there when we move in either... we ordered a new rocker/glider for our playroom and the delivery people just left it in the garage and didn't tell anyone (grrr) - J was in the house upstairs waiting for the delivery and she had left the garage door open downstairs b/c she was bringing loads up from her car and the delivery people just left the flippin glider in the garage and left. J was NOT happy!
6. All of the fresh paint at our new house looks amazing. I am SOOOO excited!
7. William turns 2 next Saturday (June 4th) - we are having a party for him, and we have done literally NOTHING to prepare other than book the pavilion at the park where we are having it and send out invitations. I don't even care. If we end up buying a bunch of pre-prepared snacks (fruit bowls, veggie trays, etc.) at the grocery store on the way and just put that out with a few decorations and just let the kids play at the playground attached to the pavilion, that is fine with me!
8. My sister is flying in tomorrow afternoon to stay with us for 10 days and help us with the kids while we move and get settled. This will be the first time anyone in my family (mom, sisters, etc.) has come and stayed with me for more than 1 day. Ever. I have lived in PA since college (14 yrs), and my mom and sisters have been here a total of 7 time (college graduation, bridal shower, wedding, baby shower, to meet William after he was born, William's first Bday, to meet Lucie) -- each time for one day. So having her come to stay for 10 days feels like a really big deal. I am excited but also nervous for some reason.
9. I made a grooming appointment for Reese for the day of our move so that she will be out of the house for a while during the height of the chaos with the movers. I feel like that was a good decision. I didn't want to board her, because I wanted her to be with us our first night in our new house and I also didn't want to spend the money... but I think she needs to not be right there while the movers are trying to bring everything into the new house. She is also a runner, and I don't want to be stressing about leaving gates open and her escaping. It will be enough to focus on our other runner -- William!
10. I have recently had a few thoughts about being done having kids and not going for baby #3 (or 4, if you ask J - she is crazy!)... I think I really do want another baby at some point, but I also feel good about our family now, so I think that is why I have recently thought "maybe we are good with this." ... I casually mentioned it to J and she just about lost her mind. She wants more babies big time!
Glad you chimed in KH826, i was about to send out the hounds.
There is definitely some appeal with being done at 2..... But knowing you, you'll go for the third:) Things are super crazy for you guys right now. Once you're settled you'll know.
