I've been up since before 5. Thunderstorms woke me up and I just couldn't fall back asleep. Luckily DS slept through the storms. Trying to figure out what we will be doing for the holiday weekend. With bad weather predicted all weekend long, we might end up just staying in all weekend.

Good morning J15! We had a good visit with FIL last night. I drank 3 glasses of wine which I haven't done in forever! You would've thought I would've slept better, but I was up late with my mind racing.
So we have a meeting at work. I'm like 95% sure that our store is closing. I'll know for sure later. I have MOPS this morning but am leaving early to make the meeting. I have to take LO with me so hopefully they don't mind. If the store is closing hopefully I can transfer. I only work 1x a month, but I want to keep my discount!

Glad your LO at least slept through the storms. Hope it clears up so you can enjoy your holiday.

@alexipodes We had storms all night too but I was so tired I slept right through them. Luckily my LO is also not a light sleeper. I think he's used to the crazy storms we get here. BabyStandish Fx if your store is closing you can transfer!

Super glad I left my house about 10 min early to go get a coffee this morning because 1) coffee, and 2) it's now pouring rain like crazy and I'm sure traffic is way worse than it was.
@alexipodes hopefully the weather forecast changes for your long weekend. I swear ours changes daily. Yesterday it showed a week straight of storms and today it shows a mix of sun and rain for the next week. BabyStandish fx you're able to transfer! laceysbryan ahh coffee, solving all of life's problems!
Poor lo looked like a train wreck when he got up. He gets random dry patches of skin, and he already had a couple spots on his face. I think we had a perfect storm of having to put sunscreen on daily, teething drool, plus sleeping on his cheek. His poor face looked so irritated. Didn't seem to bother him though, and it's calmed way down after a few applications of Aquaphor.
Already got out for a walk with lo because it's supposed to be hot today. Somehow we went straight from 70° to 85°. Props to all you ladies who live in hot climates. I already caved and turned on the air. Our house gets so hot in the summer- no shade, crappy windows, and lo's room is above the garage so it gets super steamy up there. I should dig out his little inflatable pool for this afternoon.
And some AW. Sorry this post got so long! Relaxing after playing outside all day. Water table was a hit! ❤❤❤ He's already trying to figure out standing on one leg.
We launched our thing at work yesterday, which kind of dumb was the same day I bough DH and I tickets to see a play. It was a loooong and hectic day. But the play was pretty awesome and LO was ok with her Titi (SIL) watching her. Still, it was exhausting going out on a weeknight.
I was so freaked out this morning. For one thing, LO's pee diaper was a little smelly and I'm worried she has a UTI, though it could have been something she ate. I asked her DCP to text me if she smelled anything off. LO was throwing a total fit this morning, holding her little hands over her face and leaning against walls crying. And trying to take her diaper (bahpuh as she calls them) off. So at first I thought it was a further sign of UTI. But I think she was just mad at me for not coming home last night. After I BFed her a little more and gave her a banana she was fine.
But then, I saw a little dark bruise under her arm, probably from when she goes limp noodle when you try to pick her up and she doesn't want to. That was bad enough, but there was a bump under he bruise! Of course I'm freaking out and googling, but Google says it's probably just a hematoma that will go away once the bruise heals.
Sigh. So I took her in to DC but I felt really bad about it. I want to stay home with her but I'm still behind on work thanks to the big project so I can't. And I'm on my period and I stubbed my toe on the sidewalk and it started bleeding. I'm just a wreck today.
Trying to take it slow and steady for the rest of the day. Thank god it's a long weekend. We might try to go to the beach?
❤️ to everyone, hope your LOs are sunny and the weather is nice
LO is playing behind me on the couch. She keeps randomly coming up and hugging me from behind, putting her head on my back. We're doing laundry and getting ready to head south for the weekend. DH's grandmother (LO's great-grandmother) turned 95 and we are celebrating this weekend with her. This also mean's dealing with DH's aunt. She's a drama queen who can find trouble where there is none. At least it's only for a few days. We're staying at my parent's house while they are visiting my grandparents and I did not bring enough clothes for me and LO. I also need to get my toothbrush charger, it's running low. (I know, FWP lol) Having dinner at my SIL's house. Her IL's are visiting from Buenos Aires just to run the Bolder Boulder (for those who run ) and we're all getting together tonight. It's been 5+ years since we've seen them so it will be fun. I keep losing my cell phone. This will be the third time in two days I've had to call myself.
Lo is currently clutching a piece of chocolate chip cookie in his hand and using his finger to "draw" with the melted chocolate. Glad I shared my cookie with you, kid...

I've been creeping from clinicals today. We're meeting another contractor tonight then hopefully making a decision to get this project going. So excited/nervous/terrified!!!
littlelion Ugh I am so jealous! DH and I used to go to baseball games all the time, but then life got busy. I told him we have to take LO to at least one this season. ashlantic I have to watch LO with a pouch. Sometimes she sucks it down, other times its paint. bkmama0 I hope your LO feels better soon! Enjoy the beach! That is one thing I miss, being an hour from the beach. laceysbryan Yay for a decent start to the day! Hope it continues. BabyStandish Employee discounts are the best. Part of wanted to keep working for a retail store (I went back to school instead) just because I got an awesome discount! Hope you can transfer! @alexipodes I woke up early too, but due to morning sickness at 4 am. Hope you find something fun to do this weekend!

Had a boring day at the computer competition, but my student got third place so that was great! There might be some changes at Mh company but no one is sure yet. He is being so dramatic and negative about it and doesn't even know for sure what's happening! Putting me in a mood too.
littlelion yay for sunshine and ice cream! ourcrazynavylife good luck! raven boo, sorry to hear the morning sickness has set in. Did you have it with lo too? reginaphalange3 ugh, uncertainty at work sucks. Sorry it's putting YH in a mood.
Lo had a blast playing in the water. I set everything up near the driveway so he could do chalk, pool and water table at will. We have a big tree in the front yard so it was nice and shady.
Noticed today that lo's 2nd bottom molar is just ready to pop through. So weird that he was soooo dramatic about the 1st bottom molar, but hardly made a fuss over this one. Definitely not complaining though!
Fun in the sun. It's not so fun playing with the gate when you can't get out.

Like titing the things, posting and running. Still crazy busy. Rugby tournament tomorrow, DH's birthday on Friday, community garage sale Saturday and I start soccer Sunday. Phew! I can sleep when I'm dead, right? Emily is starting to become more verbal but also hanging on to her pacifier pretty hard. It's kind of cute/kind of frustrating trying to figure out what she's trying to say.
ashlantic I had it really bad with LO. I was hoping it wouldn't be so bad, but I think it's worse. shannjohnston You sound more busy than me! LO does the same thing, wants to talk but won't take the pacifier out!

ashlantic thanks for the support! Your water table / pool / chalk set up is amazing and your LO is too cute!! (Wish we lived closer for a playdate!!---haha since I would apparently invite myself over) shannjohnston sounds tiring, but like a fun busy!!! But your post made me think of a question... Who is still using pacifiers? We use one for sleep and the car. (And once in awhile when he is fussy in a store or inconsolable at home) he's still not consistently sleeping through the night so I'm scared to take it away!! Anyone have a plan to wean (or successfully do it)?
shannjohnston whew, hope life settles down for you soon! reginaphalange3 I would totally have you and lo over for playdates. I was wondering about pacifiers too. Your situation sounds just like ours- pacifier only at bedtime/naptime or if I want him to sleep in the car. He still gets a bottle at nap and bed too. I know we should probably break both habits soon but I'm scared! Lol raven LT for sympathy. Morning sickness is the worst, sorry yours is back with a vengeance.
Snuck out of work today to watch my first baby graduate from 8th grade!!! I officially have a high schooler. Can't believe it.
Last day of school for all of my big kids today...definitely happy I won't be doing that drive to my oldest's school anymore (45mins- 1hr each way).
I have clinical in the morning and have a live session for school in a few minutes so hopefully I can hop back on before bed and catch up. Miss you guys!
Ugh I made an embarrassing mistake at work with super high visibility. No terrible consequences other than I look dumb. One of those days when I really wish I had a predictable and well defined job rather than the mess I'm in now. Ugh.
LO seems fine. I think I was getting really anxious for no reason this morning (am I projecting my anxiety? Ayiyi) but her pee smelled normal and she was in a great mood.
Ugh, I really really want to take a few weeks off to bury my head in the sand. Instead I have to balls up and get on with it.

Tonight did not turn out how I was expecting. Currently sitting in the ED right now because boom! Out of no where pretty sure I've got a UTI. Urgency, burning, bloating, and straight up peeing blood. Ugh.

Emily didn't start using pacifiers until she was close to 1yr. Usually she only has then for naps/sleeping, but if she sees them she'll grab them and not let go. She also knows "the drawer" where they're kept. We weren't too concerned with Henry. He started chewing on them though around 2yrs and we started Buying harder teething type ones. When he chewed on those we realized we couldn't keep enabling that habit so once he chewed through his last one (Christmas Eve - 2yrs7months) we did a final garbage pail send off and that was that. He was mildly upset for the next few nights when we didn't produce a new one but it only lasted those few nights.
