This is similar to what my friends did. Their LO was addicted to his soother so when our other friend had a baby they "sent" them to her and got pictures back of the baby using the same kind. It took him a few days to adjust but then he stopped asking for it. He was older though, so I don't know if it would work at this age.

A little over 2. I think about 2 years and 3-4 months.
