Talk to me. How's your list coming? Is there anything your leaving off intentionally, if so any perticular reason? Or are you skipping a registry all together?
I'll be doing one, but only to get the discount later. I'm just going to do the Amazon universal registry again, only I'm putting my due date for July so that I don't have to wait until baby is here to purchase what we need.

FTM so I'm doing the traditional Babies 'R Us registry with EVERYTHING on it. If I decide to buy something for myself, I'll still add it to my registry first then buy it just for personal tracking purposes.
There's nothing I'm excluding from the registry, although currently I still plan to buy our stroller and car seat myself. Actually if you look at my registry right now there are 2 or 3 car seats and 5+ strollers on there because I'm still trying to decide what I actually want.
I have started registries at Target and Amazon too, but I haven't decided if I'm going to spread stuff out between the stores and let people decide where to shop, or just use them for personal reasons to get the completion discounts at those stores. They have a lot of the same stuff, mainly I'm just noticing different color options between the different stores.

I did mine at Babies R Us and amazon. I think I'm finally done with mine. I've not put much in the way of clothes, blankets or toys knowing my family im going to get a ton of that stuff so I didn't bother. However now that im done I feel like a bump on a log with nothing productive to do.

The only other thing I didn't bother with putting on there yet is hygiene things, diapers and little things like that. I figured I'd wait until after the shower and see what shows up and then if I'm missing something I'll add it and then buy it myself.

I didn't think to do this I now I wish I had, since I know when they'll be taking my stitch out. I might have to go back and see if I can change it. Because if I make it past August I'll be shocked.

I'm doing one but don't plan to share it unless someone specifically asks. It's more for the completion discounts. Like cbrandt1, I'm putting an earlier EDD. I did that the first time too. I don't t really have a lot to get this time so there's only a few things on there, like crib sheets, a bathtub and a pack n play. So far I have one going at Babies r us and will probably do target too. At target, when we used the completion coupons we scanned all kinds of shit, like toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and got the discount on that too!

Yeah it was frustrating for me last time because I had to wait for the discount to come through email and I had to make all the purchases at once because the code is only good for one purchase. It's stupid but whatever!

LadyNymeria I had things spread out on both (target and bru) bc for some people target is more convenient. They can just grab something when they're there for other stuff. I'm sure you're doing this, but even though you'll probably get your stroller and car seat yourselves, keep em on the registry. BRU gives $ back on purchases made from your registry.

serendipity731 - Yup! Whenever I finally decided what I want I'll add it to the registry THEN buy it!!
lovetruly2015 - I forgot about that stuff. I'm not adding clothes or diapers to my registry either. People will buy what they want for clothes. I did add a few Halo swaddlers, but no regular clothing.

Same here. I had the swaddlers and a couple cute blankets but no clothes or diapers. This time I picked up the pod things bc DS was too small for the swaddlers when he was brand new. They start at 7lbs and he came home at 5.11. DH and I were watching YouTube videos at 3am trying to figure out how to swaddle him with a blanket. We laugh about it now.
We will be registering, but just for the discounts. I think most of the stuff we're going to need are bigger items.
My sister and friend are pressuring me to let them throw a little shower. It's tempting because we could use the help, but I've always been super against second showers. Especially since our two will be so close together.
You could always just do a sprinkle just to celebrate the baby. My sisters and stepmom wanted to throw a shower, but I feel the same way as you (for me, TETO) so I told them a sprinkle would be fine. I won't share registry info on the invite nor will I open gifts. I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable if they didn't bring one. It's my understanding that people bring diapers and little things if they feel inclined. Who doesn't love a party with yummy food??

I made an amazon registry. It's for the discount but also so I can put things on it that I know I'll need before I forget about it. I'm hoping to score a lot of things at yard sales or local Fb swaps.

Add me to the list of people registering just to get the completion discount. We have most of the stuff we need since this is #3 and our 2nd boy, but saving a little cash on the things we do need to replace is fine by me
I have an Amazon registry right now. I've added most of our major stuff like cat seat, stroller, etc. Not too much in terms of outfits but I did a few things to give anyone looking an idea of what colors and stuff we prefer.

We're getting thrown a sprinkle. My babies will be 20m apart and we have the big items. We just need dipes and pacis and new bottle nipples and girl clothes. +1 for being against 2nd showers but my BFF offered and I made her promise to keep it casual and gift not expected

I would put the little hygiene things on there, because people never to think to buy them unless they're reminded. We got the complete set from our shower, and I would have completely forgot otherwise if it weren't on the registry. My registry was more of to buy list for me, and if people wanted to buy off of it, cool. If not, then at least I had a running list going.

I agree with this. When I attend a shower I often do the tub, toiletries and washcloths or something like that. It's a good way for people to know which brand/type you prefer. For example, I've never used Johnson & Johnson on DS and prefer something more natural.
I have not registered yet but I will in the next couple weeks. I plan to register at Target and Babies R Us for sure and maybe Amazon. We are on operation nursery right now lol. Once it's set up and painted I will feel more ready.
For those doing the registry for the completion discount (add me to that group), Amazon gives you the discount up to 60 days in advance of your EDD. BBB is only 2 weeks before your EDD (so you would probably want to set an earlier EDD for that one). I created an Amazon registry but have only added a few things to it. We don't need very much since this is #2.

Nice, they must have changed it because I thought I had to wait a couple weeks to get it last time!

I registered at Amazon and Target.
As a FTM, I've added a lot things excluding a breast pump which my insurance covers. I've also added mostly all gender neutral items in case we decide to try for a second so we can reuse.
I like both of these options for the completion discounts and figured these two places work well for people who like online or shopping in person. So far the majority have stuff that has been bought has come off Amazon which is where most of the bigger items were.

With our first, I made the due date a month early because my bonus (step) son's mom was kind of a stalker and I didn't want her knowing my due date. I THEN realized it was nice because of registry completion discounts! I have a friend who grabbed the scanner at Target and added non-baby things to her registry and bought them ALL with the discount and they honored them! Although I'm having a girl and my last was a boy, the babies will only be 14 months apart so I've been taking a hard pass on offers for a shower. Instead I'm like, "take me to brunch and let me watch you drink mimosas." The only thing I will even really need is a double-stroller and I'm waiting on that. I have the feeling it'll be easier at most places to just wear my son and put the tiny baby in a single stroller.

I agree about the second shower, but honestly because of the opinions of people on TB. We just do them for all kids here. I expressed my apprehension to my MIL and she was like, no we're doing another one. Shrug.
I have like 2 things on my registry. A convertible carseat and a double stroller. This is my second girl, so I don't need much of anything. Maybe a second rocker since we still use the one we have for story time and MOTN. I am trying to decide if I want to get another convertible crib or try to transition DD to a toddler bed after the baby comes.
Do you guys think that would be too much change for her? If I did get her in a toddler bed, should I move her to the new room or move the nursery furniture to the new room?

I'm doing a registry, but mostly for me to remember what I want lol. I have everything we need but there are a few things I "want". I'm not going into a store to register, just doing it online.

theotherjacobsons we've started transitioning our DD (22 months). We've got her crib set up now with the toddler rail and will probably make the switch to a legit bed in the next month or so. I think as long as you allow a little bit of adjustment time after the new baby gets here, it shouldn't be a big deal. My plan is to take the crib down and get her a real bed, then wait a bit before setting it up in the baby's room bc she'd likely have a fit about her brother getting "my bed, miiiiiiiine". We're starting a new daycare this summer. I'm afraid, too, about overwhelming her with change, but I feel like they change so quickly anyway, I'm hoping it's all not too big of a deal!!

That's what we did last time too. We felt like the store was too overwhelming and we look everything up online before we decide anyways so an online registry just made sense for us.
