I don't think you should pry into someone's personal life, maybe because I am a bit of a private person. But if I want you to know I'm pregnant I'll tell you, stop asking probing questions to try to lead us there.
I don't care for the phrase "Facebook Official". I keep hearing people say, well, I'm not going to make it "Facebook official" until x date.
Just because something isn't on social media doesn't make it any less official. I find it annoying.
I agree. I think some people find too much validation from social media. Like it's not actually a cute picture or a good story unless it has so many likes and comments.

I see so much of this from my clients! Come on guys fb is not the be all and end all.

Continuing with annoying Facebook trends... I can't stand when people use it to complain about everyday issues. Oh, your kid has a fever and didn't let you sleep? Oh I'm so sorry. That happens to everyone. What did you think parenthood would be like?

Sorry, one more. It annoys the crap out of me when people say they deserve something because they prayed so hard for it. So the people that don't get these things, did they just not pray as hard as you?

Speaking of hand sanitizer. It is very important for everyone here to know that:
-if there is ever a time in your life when you un-cap a sharpie pen, -and put the cap on the back of the pen, -and then start swinging the pen around by the rubberband that you have attached the the pen cap, -and after about 3 minutes of nervous swinging notice that the centrifugal force has pushed a ton of permanent marker ink out of the pen and ALL THE FCUK over your kitchen floor in the house you've only lived in for three weeks?
... hand sanitizer will do a pretty good job of removing the ink.
editing to add - that it will probably take about 3 hours to clean up the ink splatter on about 18 12-inch squares.

Hand sanitizer will also take tree sap right off the hood of your car, but to get is taken off professionally is like over $100.
I HATE the smell of it. Hate it. I can tell when someone uses it from across the room.
ellabee, I don't necessarily have a problem with that phrase but I agree with what you're saying. I know way too many people who believe that if they don't post something on FB, then it didn't happen.
meeggaannww- yes, totally!! It puts people in such an uncomfortable position. What if they just had a loss? What if they are but aren't ready to share? People need to just mind their own business.
I guess my UO is I actually like hand sanitizer. I prefer to wash my hands but with my first pregnancy, I loved that alcohol smell :/
Another UO: pregnant women annoy me. Let me clarify, pregnant women who go around assuming their pregnancy should be everyone else's priority are annoying. Like people who are getting married and want your life to revolve around their wedding?! Can't handle those people

I just dealt with my SIL bridezilla. As my DH kept saying "this is the biggest day in ALL of our lives". I enjoyed the wedding less because of all the drama and demands leading up to it. So I guess my wedding OU is I hate over the top Pinterest weddings. Do you need to get flip flops for your bridesmaids? Sure. Do you need to buy flip flops for all of the women attending your 200 person wedding? No. Brought to you by someone who had to tie little bows on 100 pairs of flip flops.

+1 to the dislike of hand sanitizer, though I'll use it in very specific circumstances (like visiting a hospital or whatever).
My UO: I really don't ever want to go on a cruise (the cruise hand sanitizer thing reminded me of it), partly because they get so. many. cases of norovirus and other GI viruses, and also because the places where the cruise ships land don't let you actually get a real experience of what a place is like. (I get that people might just want to be on a boat for a week, and don't really care where they're going as long as it's warm and sunny, but I would rather pick a place to go, explore it, and not have to worry about norovirus and such).
I generally agree with this. It also helps that my H never wants to do a cruise because he insists it will make him feel claustrophobic. The only reason I'd want to try one is to check out several different places I'm interested in first, and then decide which places would be good for longer visits/vacations of their own. The one cruise I would love to do is Greece/Italy. Someday my mom and I are going to do it!
I love cruises!! It's great for seeing places you don't want to spend a lot of time at and its one of the most relaxing vacations ever. I agree bough the viruses and stomach bugs are pretty ick!
UO: Just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean you have the right to touch my stomach. The stomach belongs to me, not the general public and I prefer to keep my personal space personal. Brought to you by what I know is coming based on my last pregnancy.

I think this is a very popular opinion amongst pregnant people lol.
I still remember the first time someone touched my belly when I was pregnant with DD. It was horrifying.

I have to disagree with this. I think that's perfectly valid to share on FB. Everyone uses FB differently of course but to me it is to share 'slice of life' stuff. It isn't just for major milestones like vacations and birthdays and weddings.
That said, some of my friends post 3-5 times PER DAY and in those cases I feel like I know a little too much about them.
My FB pet peeve is people sharing their Multi-Level Marketing garbage (It Works, Jamberry, LulaRoe) and also humble-bragging with posts like "here's a photo of me prepping super healthy meals for the whole week!" Particularly when they do that post every damn week.

I read that this was recently made illegal in Pennsylvania, as it should be!

The worst with the FB marketing is when people I haven't spoken to since high school, and barely even then, send a pm talking about how as a respected person I should join them in their venture. Lol no.

silvermelody , I get what you mean. I think it only bothers me when it's the same person over and over. I'm just not a fan of complaining all the time on public forums. And yes to the MLM stuff all over FB!
