L stayed in her crib from 8:20 until 7:15. And we had crazy storms from 9 until I don't know cause I was sleeping. I'm so proud of her and happy I got some rest. I did have a freaky dream that's got me in a bit of a funk, but I don't feel super tired like usual. Also woke up to lots of kicks after a quite day yesterday.
We are going to the gym again this morning to play. And then this afternoon I need to return some tile samples (or I might get DH to go with me tomorrow). I have a few other things to do today like pick out paint and pack and get ready for the garage sale tomorrow.
DH has today off, as well as Monday, so he got up with DS and so I could sleep late. I am taking DS to the pool to meet some friends later this morning, but otherwise not much on our agenda today.
I am jamming away at work this morning. Hoping to leave at 5 on the dot for once, so I can pick LO up from DC and actually have a little time to play with him before his bedtime. I missed him this week.
I'm hungry and am going to step out in a minute to get a breakfast sandwich. I see my trainer at 1 so I probably won't have a proper lunch until after that. DNW to work out on a full stomach but also hate being hungry when I show up at the gym.
Hola! We spent the morning as a family at the dentist. Just routine cleanings, but if I don't schedule H and I back to back it's hard to get him to go.
This afternoon I have an ob appointment it's tied to the u/s yesterday but they couldn't get both together. Yay for lots of appointments.
aggiebug I hate going to the dentist. DH makes me go and I know it's important. I just don't like having people poking around my mouth and it smells weird.
Someone bought me my Starbucks! Now I want to come up with a nice thing to do for someone else. It's just such a nice feeling.
Also, it's been so rainy today. I didn't think we were going to get rain today, but it's been wet all morning and poured on my way home. I hope it is gone tomorrow.
ClassyMrsA haha I think that is a normal reaction to the dentist I don't mind and I think H just finds it inconvenient. Apparently he has had a cracked filling for months and didn't bother saying anything. Umm dude maybe that should be taken care of?
tgrimes1980 I hope you had that cheesecake!!!! I was eyeing a piece of carrot cake where H and I grabbed lunch today but I behaved myself with the sweets. I had a yummy BLT with avocado for lunch, I'm just hoping heartburn doesn't return today.
aggiebug I hope your appt goes just perfectly, in sure it will!
ClassyMrsA What a sweet gesture, the pay it forward movement has really taken off, at least around here - we see it a lot, I like that.
Im supposed to be getting out at 3p, vs my standard 4:30. But now H hasn't heard yet if they are getting out early so I'll prob have to stick around until 4:30 anyway womp womp womp.
We work for the same company/building, but two seperate subsidiaries so our processes don't always line up. And we commute together (unless I have meetings obv)... I guess I can leave, go get a Starbucks and come back for him.. Meh.
Well I was going to try to work out today but I had some more spotting (seems like last time so I'm not too worried). Figured to be safe I should just take it easy. So my feet are up and Supernatural is on.
Oh, and I've started with BH contractions if I do too much or get stressed. I think I started around 18 weeks with DS so a little earlier this time. Kind of annoying lol.
I'm curious about the BH... I think I might be getting these but have no idea what it feels like and it's not painful (I would've expected them to be). Does it just feel like a heavy/tight feeling? I notice it at random times, usually evening.

kleigh I agree it's like a tight, heavy feeling. Not painful for me at all, though I've read that they can be. Later on, they become very obvious since you'll feel your entire belly get tight and hard. They can be uncomfortable at that point. Fair warning, you'll get the same feeling from orgasms, too, since they can cause contractions.

Thank you for saying that!! I would've never thought to ask but this past weekend during an orgasm my entire belly tightened/seized up and I was like what the hell is that! The most uncomfortable feeling.

Yup. It's a trade off. It freaked me out the first time, too. It's almost enough to put me off sex, but not quite.
tgrimes1980 Dessert is happening tonight. Just have to decide on carrot cake, ice cream, cupcakes, or now cheesecake. We have a Cheesecake Factory nearby and while not my go-to for authentic (I'm partial to my moms homemade) I will settle!
aggiebug I need medication to go to the dentist lol ClassyMrsA, will your dentist let you listen to music? I use my iPhone and DH's sound dampening headphones to block sound out. Was at work today, not many swimmers so kind of relaxing! I hope they don't get too busy tonight.

Happy Friday all! Heading to my in laws (again!) this weekend for a funeral for one of DHs relatives. This would be so much more tolerable if I could have a glass (or three) of wine. Honestly my in laws are pretty great, we have just spent SO MUCH time there lately and this weekend was supposed to be spent at a cabin regrouping as a family. So I'm pretty bummed

Sorry your weekend plans got turned upside down and for YH's loss
So you guys are saying dessert is like a special occasion? kleighdashook
Huh, that's a concept I hadn't considered.
Well under normal circumstances definitely not, I eat sweets jut about every day.
However (this is kind of a story) back in September as part of my fertility blood work up they ran my hemoglobin A1C. It was borderline pre-diabetic. After running a bunch more tests and meeting with the nutritionist about lifestyle etc, she concluded (paraphrasing) that it wasn't from diet, but because I was working out/doing a crap TON of manual labor on our house (carrying pieces of the roof, foundation, 2x4s, cinderblocks, etc) and not eating enough/right kinds of things to meet the demands so something about my liver releasing stored insulin or something.
Long story short it scared the crap out of me. Obviously I took her recommendations to heart but I've always been nervous that maybe it was the daily ice cream I was having. She had no problem whatsoever with me eating sweets but I took the results to heart.
Now with twins, I understand there's also an increased risk of gestational diabetes so I'm just being a little more careful with both factors to consider.

That sounds pretty logical actually. I'm sorry you had to go through such a scare, whether it was necessary or not!
