Random question, particularly for some of you with older kids, but anyone who has kids with younger playmates: How do you handle the toy situation? LO has a number of toys that would be inappropriate for his younger friend. If it were one or two things, it would be NBD to quickly put them up, but that isn't the case. TIA!
Tomorrow we are planning on going to a family picnic for Memorial Day. This will be one of our first outings since DS was born 3ish weeks ago. I'm irrationally nervous that he will flip out or fuss a lot. Even though I don't know why it matters really... He so young it's not like anyone should expect him to not cry... I think it's just nerves about being away from th comfort of home haha

teraiin good luck today! The first outing is intimidating leading up to it but once you do it, you will be glad people will be excited to have a tiny little baby around.
We have a busy day ahead. We are going to the parade with my parents so DD1 can see my husband in it. After that, one of the churches has a big thing with free food, games, activities, & other stuff. Then this afternoon I'm taking DD1 to the zoo for a birthday party for one of her friends.
We are in the clear to be around other people today. DD is on her third day of antibiotics and has been fever free since Friday night. H is on his last days of meds. I invited H's parents over for dinner. I'm making bbq chicken in the crock pot and corn on the cob. We might go check our our neighborhoods pool today.

teraiin I'm glad thing went well on your outing I was thinking of you.
Taking DD to the pool was a big success. When we got home she napped and by the time she woke up H's parents were here. I had a great time cooking for them and entertaining them. Now I do this all over again on Saturday, but with 20 people.

Thanks! I feel more free now... Like I proved something as silly as that sounds.
Sounds like you guys had a good day. Glad she's feeling better!
