I have my baby brunch this morning. I'm very happy it's happening and I get to celebrate baby boy before he arrives. My activity yesterday made me think he was going to make a debut in the motn but I'm happy that I got a full nights rest and get to enjoy another day with ds and dh. We're headed to "brat fest" tonight. Yup, a whole festival about brats (only in Wisconsin!). There's live music and carnival rides and most importantly, brats and the weiner mobile. Happy weekend and I hope the outside babies are all doing well!
I was really hoping this baby would start to make its way out so I wouldn't have to go to a family graduation party today. I just don't want to deal with all the baby discussions and observations and stories. We went over to a friends last night, which was great, but family is different.
I'm fighting with curtains right now that I can't seem to get up right. We got all new windows put in this week, so now everything has to be put back together. I'm going in our pool later. The liner needs a scrubbing, but that's an easy job and I get sun while doing it.
Tomorrow my aunt is having a little baby shower for me which will be nice.
We're going to an outside birthday party today. I hope I can hang long enough to have some fun.
My hips are actually feeling a little better today than they have been. I bought a third heating pad so that every evening I can use a heating pad on my lower back and then one on each hip at the same time. It's really helped out a ton. I've also been more aware at work for the amount of time I spend in each posture and try to limit some of the more painful ones. I'm really relived that I have 3 days off in a row to help my hips relax even more.

Last night we converted DD's crib to a toddler bed. Eek! We did it earlier than planned after DH hurt his back and it was very difficult for me to gently lower her into the crib. We were hesitant because she is very active and curious and all of the implications the free reign would allow her. She was so excited she wanted to go to bed immediately. Once we finally did put her to bed, she just laid there as usual until she finally fell asleep. No standing up, no getting out of bed. I know she will eventually venture out but it was nice that she didn't get out and start climbing all over the place like she does throughout the rest of our house.
We are going to play this weekend by ear because I can only walk for 5 min stretches at a time. I really wanted to take DD to the zoo before the baby got here but alas I don't think it is in the cards. We may take her to the pool later today. She loves the water and rolling from front to back and floating.
Outofhiding we just made the same transition to a toddler bed for DS because he climbed out of his crib. I'm glad your transition is going well! Ours is not going quite as well, but I think it's less about being a toddler bed and more just the fact that DS has always been a poor sleeper. Have fun at the pool today!

Outofhiding and babyzebra I've been shocked at how little difference it made going from the crib to toddler bed. She still sleeps about the same as she ever did (some nights are good others are terrible). We did take pretty much everything out of her room though so she can't get into much trouble. But she LOVES her big girl bed

Thursday was DH's birthday and tomorrow is my birthday, so my parents are throwing us a birthday lunch and memorial day BBQ. DH's parents are coming as well, so that's nice. My FIL has not met baby girl yet!

My H, DD, and I have back to back birthdays (I think 11 days from first to last) too! I always feel bad for DH since his is last and never feels like it gets enough of its own celebration
Happy birthday woodengirl07 my fellow Gemini! Outofhiding congrats on an easy transition. We didn't have an easy transition but then once he got used to it he slept really well. To this day he never gets out of bed until we come get him. It's like an invisible shield is there. Hope dd keeps up the good work. babyzebra sorry you're in pain. Do you have the Ac blasting to offset the heating pads?
Happy birthday woodengirl07 ! Today DH and I are taking our dog to the Bassett Bustle, it's a fundraiser for a basset hound rescue organization, hundreds of people gather at a dog park with their basset hounds and other dogs for games, contests, a BBQ, etc. It's seriously the most hilarious thing ever. Only concern is that it's supposed to be super hot out, we'll bring lawn chairs and I'll try to sit in the shade for most of it.
mladerri nope the heat doesn't really bother me too much so no extra AC is needed. I do always set a timer though because I fall asleep when I put the heating pads on. Luckily (or unluckily) DS's crappy sleep is a pretty good back-up timer too!
We are just getting some errands done today. Monday we are having family over for a picnic *eye roll* we are celebrating birthdays and DHs aunt is requesting one. Blah! At least they are coming to us! Her other ideas were camping, roller blading and bike riding... Uh hello! Seriously!? You guys can but I won't be coming. I can't even sleep in a bed right now and the others are dangerous at almost 37 weeks pregnant. So a picnic does sound better! Not sure what else we are doing but needing to get some cleaning done before they come.
Happy birthday woodengirl! Our first night home ended up ok. DD1 did great. But I am up after feeding every three hours and MH is currently upstairs cuddling with te baby. So I am with the preschooler. I better get a nap later. We have to weigh DD2 before our next feeding. We have to report all weights to the pedi.
I have a date with H tonight. DD is spending the night with the in-laws, and we plan to go swimming and hit up a gelato festival in the morning. I'm insanely excited. Weightlessness in water, followed by gelato? Yes, please.
In between all these events, get ready for this baby.
Today was dd's last spring soccer class. Now we are headed to buy her tap shoes for her summer dance class. Then, I need to exchange a pair of sandals I bought this week and I'm hoping we can swing by Nordstrom for their big sales. I'm itching to buy the baby a few things, and I can never resist clothes for dd1.
Then hopefully lunch and a long long nap for everyone.
I'm feeling over-booked this weekend. DNW. I do want to nap.
My dad's coming over in an hour and then wants to go have picnic lunch at my mom's grave together, I'd already made plans with BIL to have lunch with them & DHs grandma, later we are planning on going to watch a friend's band. Tomorrow my SIL wants to have some girl time and Monday is a family BBQ. I love all the family love, but I didn't sleep much last night and have been feeling like crap and I was hoping to have some free time to myself.
My dog wins for today because she found a tick in our bed this morning and showed it to me. Granted, there is a 100% chance she is the reason the tick was there in the first place, but at least she knew to let me know. Both my dogs have seresto collars, but unfortunately tick prevention doesn't actually kill them until they bite the dog. I try not to think about how many ticks probably make it into our house. I had a few days where the baby was unusually active. Now he is back to the same activity level as before, and it is making me irrationally nervous that he isn't moving enough. One thing about an outside baby, the paranoid mom checks are going to be easier.
Well DS's birthday was earlier this week so we wanted to do something special like go to this indoor water park but he ended up getting bug bites right under his eye and it is so swollen and irriated. I'm worried the chlorine will make it worse when it is just starting to get better. Maybe tomorrow.
So far today I've done laundry, packed most of my hospital bag, and set up the pack n play bassinet in our room. I'd like to get the carseat base installed as well.
I'd also like to relax at some point. Next Sat I'm having a me day. Getting my hair cut and highlighted and then using a pedicure gift card I got for Christmas. I really want to get a Brazilian wax too. I tried ladyscaping this morning and that was a joke.

I'm trying so hard to nest but I'm just so damn tired. I start out strong and then end up in the nearest chair. In fact, I'm typing this from the baby's rocker.
Our to-do list is relatively short but it seems so daunting when your energy level is a big fat zero.
I've had what feels like menstrual cramps for the past few days and I'm hoping it means things are progressing, at least?

We are at the track today practicing as DH has a race next weekend (assuming baby doesn't come). Tomorrow I think we are headed to a local amusement park with a great water play area for DS. Monday we may need to do a little work but I'm really hoping to be able to sit and rest a bit!

My weekend plans have consisted of staring and poking my belly willing LO to come out.
I'm irrationally bothered and grumpy from a stupid comment my MIL said this morning. She's all "I'm betting you'll go to your ultrasound on Monday and they'll want to schedule a c section"
Not what I want to hear when I'm only "due" tomorrow and hoping for a vbac with no other complications. Thanks for the vote in confidence or respect of what *i* want.

Sorry I hate such insensitive comments. My MiL says too much too. I'm sure she doesn't mean it how it comes out but it's seriously rude and annoying.
Just got home from the graduation party. I was hounded by MIL and other people about will I be induced, what's the name, what's the sex, when am I going to have it, Tuesday would be great...so irritating. I'm glad to be home.
