Woke up nauseas. Mh was up late doing school work so I got up with DS. My sense of smell is in overdrive. Something smells foul in our living room but I don't know what. Currently sitting out in the sun while a 7 year old neighbor entertains DS by making "soup" with dead leaves and grass. What's up with everyone today?
Took DD to see my parents today. With any luck I'll be able to sneak away to the workshop and finish up a radiator cover project I've been working on.
Yesterday was spent making new foundation planting beds in front of our house. It's so satisfying to see them done but I'm exhausted.
Also had another crappy nights sleep last night. I need a nap....and apparently and an conditioner. I woke up much too hot like 4 times last night. Ugh.
Add me to the list of crappy sleep. LO was up and whining off and on throughout the night. Ugh, I need a nap.
H is going to take him to his toddler gymnastics class this morning. I'm debating between using that time to sleep or start an easy workout. Both are desperately needed
We're at my parents and it's a full house so we are sharing a room with DS. I got up at 5 with him (not cool DS) and then DH tagged in around 8 so I could go back to sleep. I think we're going to go swimming with his cousins in a bit, but don't have too much planned.
I'm the minority here, I slept like a rock! So much so that I never heard the guys pull up that are building and leveling a foundation for a shed we're getting. It's gonna be a hot one here in the northeast. We only have AC in our bedroom, I already told H we might be putting a wall AC unit in this summer.

Crap-sleep here as well. I don't even set an alarm to take my middle of the night meds because I wake up every hour. Dd is down for her first nap, dh is mowing the yard, and I am crawling into bed for a nap too.
I slept great - but I am still so tired! It's raining so I'm kind of on hold wondering if I have a shoot today or not. Nothing really exciting over here.

I am patiently waiting for DS to fall asleep so that I can do the same. I'm debating whether or not to take DS to the pool after nap. I'll make my decision based on post-nap mood.
I was going to sleep in today, but woke up at 7:30 even though I was up for an hour in the middle of the night. On the plus side, we went out for breakfast at my favorite place, then went to a farmer's market.
ellabee what are you planting? I'm growing tomatoes for the first time this year so I can't wait to see how that turns out.
Just shrubs right now. The whole front of our house was completely bare, so we put in a bunch of boxwoods, juniper, holly and other bushes. I did plant some flowering stuff like hydrangeas and peonies.
Yesterday we had a new concrete sidewalk and front porch poured (yeah!) the guys were still working when we left to go have dinner with friends. I assumed when they left they would be done and everything cleaned up.
When we got home around 10:00 it looked decently clean except for a huge pile of sod & dirt in the middle of our lawn. This morning when I took a closer look there were rocks everywhere, nails, screws, cigarette butts, they left their wheel barrow in our back yard, water bottles in the lawn and I was pretty pissed off.
Our original plan for today was for me to sleep in and DH to go on a long run, then pack up and head to my parents house for the weekend. When I saw the mess I knew I couldn't leave the sod on the grass or EVERYTHING would be dead by the time we got back and if I left the rocks on the lawn it would also kill the grass (not to mention if a lawnmower hits them it could break a window or hurt someone).
So I went outside at 9:30 this morning and started raking gravel (ended up with three buckets full) using the big pile of sod to fill in the gaps between the new sidewalk and the grass and trying to get it watered enough to hope it will not die.
I was out there until noon and DH helped when he got back from his run (although he was cranky about it). We still need to clean the driveway and side patio but at least the worst of it is cleaned up. I'm now exhausted (as is DH because he ran for 6 miles in this heat) and we have to drive two hours to get to my parents house.
I'm regretting offering to drive down, but DH is cranky and I wanted to do something nice for him.
+10 to crappy sleep. We just got back from the children's museum, DS did great! He's still a bit young for a lot of it (like the grocery store and play kitchen) but they have some under three areas that are more accessible for the littles. He loved the water room and the nature area. Now I'm laying low to beat the heat because I don't want to turn the AC on this early in the season!

Herbs are easy and great too! I have a thriving little herb (basil, chives, dill, sage, mint, and oregano) and tomato garden. I have two new raised veggie gardens this year and will be experimenting to see what grows. So far I have peppers, squash, and carrots. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I love planting but we don't get to do much of it bc very small yard. But I have tomatoes, carrots, and a pepper in. Also have one random edamame plant in a pot. No idea whether that will take, but I was intrigued when buying my plants so it was sort of an impulse buy.
Yep, I impulse buy plants.
I also planted basil and cilantro. I've done other herbs in the past but those are the only two we seem to really use regularly.
Mint is the easiest to grow, but I like to do it in a pot - it's invasive and takes over.

Yes to potted mint, I also pot my oregano for the same reasons. I love that you impulse buy plants. I went with some fun looking heirloom tomatoes this year and really hope they do well.
ashtog , we are soulmates. Cold leftover pizza is the only way to go. Also, Mr. Ashtog is winning at the game of life today!
heck yes we are!
also, yes he is. since my session got canceled due to torrential downpours, he just also agreed to my photographer friend coming over this evening to edit all night together- and HE will put the baby to bed .. 0.0
I hope everyone having a hard time sleeping gets some rest! DS was up 6 times last night and fighting going to sleep each time, which is very unusual. That made unpacking last night hard, which sucked since it took the movers 8 hours to pack up my apartment (we already moved DS' stuff) and move it down the road to the house. So basically, the movers left and then DH and I had to go pick up DS from daycare.
Sorry for the dear diary. I'm feeling overwhelmed by moving, unpacking, and baby #2.

Finally done with errands today I am so tired and dizzy. The heat for this early in the year is ridiculous. Meanwhile I'm resting on the couch eating raspberries. I want ice cream for dinner but I don't think H will go for it.

This has been a very lazy day. I have been in bed most the day. Mh took dd to my parents house to swim between naps today and I stayed home in bed. I did add toast and an apple to my diet today. Not sure how the apple is going to do so I'm staying as still as possible just in case. Hope everyone is having a happy productive holiday weekend.

Tried to meet friends at a park with a splash pad but nap times didn't sync up. My son had fun until he got too cold, then he went on the swings and dried off.
Then I discovered I had no dry diapers in the diaper bag /facepalm
He's down for a nap now and I should take one too. I also stained my back earlier giving the dog a bath and I don't have time to baby it, ughh. And can't take any good drugs either! (Ibuprofen & muscle relaxers) Only Tylenol and ice packs
