Happy Memorial Day for those in the US. I always feel so fortunate that the many veterans in my life have not lost their lives serving in the military. This is a tough day for some of them though remembering friends that they've lost.
I'm not working today. I have plans to continue cleaning and organizing and then we're meeting up with family for lunch.

My toddler has reverted to waking up every 2-3 hrs and refusing to sleep unless my H or I are in the room with her. I think she senses something? Or maybe she's finally getting teeth? Or maybe this is just that she os and always has been a terrible sleeper? Although at this rate if I take the newborn once s/he is born and H takes the toddler I just might get more sleep than him. And of course she's still up and going 100 miles a minute at 6am

I really need to make today a lazy day... I say that every weekend and then run around trying to get everything accomplished with shopping and housework. Today I already got two bathrooms clean and a load of laundry done... All I want to finish is cleaning the kitchen floor. DH is being, umm, assy. I'm gonna play it off as stressed and poor word choice and being over dramatic. He better get out of his funk because I'm not having it today. Am not.
I think we have the same toddler packerfan4life! I've given up on trying to figure it out. This is just my life now. He's lucky he's cute!
Yeah this is pretty par for the sleep course for us.
At least since H is off work now (teacher) and I'm not, I have the excuse for him to go sleep in her room Although if this keeps up during the week when I can't nap I may die
Happy Monday! We have survived another night with every three hour wake ups. DD1 hates when baby cries to the point she screams in a pillow. So that's fun. We have newborn photos this morning.
packerfan4life and babyzebra I hope you get some sleep soon. Not like I'm sleeping anymore than that because of my pee wake ups but getting woken up is always more irritating. bighair12 have fun with the photos. Can't wait to see
We have a bbq this afternoon. Every day that passes makes me so happy. We're getting closer and closer to June. My plug has been coming out since Friday. How much can really be in there? I think we're going to hit the pool today. I'm not going in since I read you shouldn't if you've lost your plug but I'll enjoy watching ds frolic. Hope everyone enjoys their day off. We haven't had a baby in a few days.... Just saying.
I need to try to walk this morning before it gets too hot, other than that we will just lounge in the backyard and I will imagine that my cucumber sparkling water is a gin and tonic.
Yesterday I asked DS when this baby was coming and he said Tuesday, I hope he meant tomorrow.
Good morning everyone!!! We are back from the hospital and I am alive, although barely. I have been struggling with insomnia on top of all of the feedings, so it's been awful. I have probably slept four hours total since the night before she was born, to the point where my body was shutting down and I vomited and had an absolute meltdown with my last night nurse. Being at home is definitely better, although hard because there's a toddler here! DH ended up sleeping in the living room with the baby last night because with my insomnia, all of her newborn noises were making it so much harder. He brought her back to me to feed, kind of like a night nurse, lol. I think my milk is in the process of coming in. So much to update you guys on and I will post a birth story at some point, I don't think I'm close to having enough time to get that together right now though!

Totally commiserating with your insomnia txmommy14! I basically didn't sleep at all in the hospital, and have been getting maybe 4 hours per day (broken into 2-3 short naps) since being home. It's wearing me thinner than I thought. I'm so glad your DH is being helpful - I've found I need mine a lot more than I thought I would. And I've asked my mother to come stay with me after DH goes back to work next week. Don't be afraid to ask for help too! Hope you get some zzz's. And OMG she is sooooo gorgeous!!
Rainy Memorial Day here, which I'm rather enjoying, though I'm sure it is interfering with a lot of barbecues. The cool weather is definitely more pleasant for me at the moment. My family is going to my brother in law's mom's house for the evening. I opted out with the pregnancy get out of jail free card. It is 50% not wanting to be at a party when I really need to sit as much as I can, pee every 10 minutes, etc. and 50% not wanting to answer the same 5 questions a hundred times.
My baby shower yesterday was so nice. I ate so much though and am still full today! I went and returned some clothes to Target (30% off kids clothes) and Walmart and got some other things more in his size. We are having ILs and some friends over to swim in a little bit. I'm hoping to get to Babies R Us later to buy the rest of what I need from my registry. The nursery is being set up on Saturday, so I want to be ready!
A high school classmate of mine died while serving in the marines and while I think of him often, I try to make a special point to remember him today. Thank you, Vets, and families.

I forgot to write in here that DH got a new job. He just got the call that he will start tomorrow. He has been home since November and I'm really sad that he is not going to be around during the day.
The man cold is real, and it's taking over my house.
I go through at least a box of Kleenex everyday but he's sneezed *once* today and he thinks he's gunna die. It's pretty sad. Literally holding his head in his hands and saying "I don't know what to do"
Sorry to hear your DH is in the grips of man cold, GOmamab15. Totally been there. DH has had a cold for almost two weeks now. He's been good about not complaining about it too much. Except he hasn't been taking care of himself - not getting enough sleep, not eating regular meals, etc. So now I have the cold, and I blame him because my immune system held out as long as it could. If he'd gotten better faster I may have been able to escape it. I'm aware of how super rational this is
bighair12 yay for surviving another night! Hope newborn photos went well!
txmommy14 yay for being home! She is so adorable!!! I love the outfit! I'm so sorry about the insomnia. I find it so hard to sleep in between feedings too... Although yesterday I was able to finally nap when she did and it was glorious. I hope you are able to get some rest soon.
frecklesnbrains having my mom around when DH went back to work this past week was so great. I hope yours is a help to you and that you are able to get some more rest soon.
Well newborn photo fail. My kid was awake the whole time. The three year old did not cooperate. So we will repeat soon. Thank goodness for an understanding photographer.
Snuggles are the best lakecountrygal! I wish DD ever stopped moving long enough for snuggles
Flair Underwood totally unacceptable for him to be useless/cranky right now. Tell him to get his butt in gear
It has been a little bit. Wonder who's next? Sadly probably not me since this baby just seems to be getting cozier by the day and my body is showing now signs of wanting to get him/her out
