I'm dragging...I was up overnight with DS and couldn't fall back asleep; naturally just as I started to drift off again, he was up for the day.
We have started potty-training today (yay?) and are currently waiting on the furniture store to deliver a nightstand for his room (the first one they brought had some damage to the finish but we've been using it while waiting on a replacement). After that we're heading out to meet my mom for lunch and shopping.
We stayed up way too late watching "How to be Single" (which was cute but quite a tear jerker) and catching up on Empire episodes. I'm at a part in Empire with some trigger-y material and that also made me cry.
So I'm just a puffy faced, eyes with bags, hair not done mess today.
One dude (Chad) is so pessimistic. "These dudes are going about this the wrong way." While not on the date, these guys started singing songs about Jojo and this dude was like, "This is HS sh*t"
tgrimes1980 It's nearly impossible for me to stick to my meal plans, although I still try. My week tends to get away from me and I end up doing whatever..
Mini-rant: I just bought a USB cable at CVS so I could charge my phone (iPhone 6) at my computer while at work. I spent several minutes inspecting the different options and none of them said iPhone 6 on them (they had plenty of cords for iPhone 4's and 5's for whatever reason). So I asked a salesperson who confidently handed me the one that says it's for iPhone 5.
It doesn't fucking work. When I plug it in, exactly nothing happens.
Truly, I do not have time to go back to CVS and deal with this shit today. So annoyed!
+1 for being a terrible meal planner b/c I don't want what I've planned for later in the week! I find myself doing a lot of daily shopping trips based on what sounds good.
I think tonight is lemon-chicken pasta with a Caesar salad and French bread. That's all I've got ATM.
I'm also not a good meal planner, especially when pregnant. It's just too hard to anticipate what I'll be in the mood for on any given day. I've also had extra difficulty with leftovers for whatever reason this pregnancy. It's as if once I've eaten something for one meal, it loses all appeal for any subsequent meal.
I just reached an all-time low high at work. I was at my secretary's desk and took two mini chocolate bars from the candy bowl she keeps there. But on my way back to my desk (on the opposite side of the office) I realized I had to stop into a conference room to hand something to my supervising partner who's in the middle of a very important deposition. I didn't want to walk in carrying candy so I just stuffed the two chocolate bars in my bra before I went in.
tgrimes1980, I would say the waste of food is my biggest pet peeve of these food aversions. Things sound good until they are in front of me and then I'm like nope!

sophiegrace scratch that face rec I made a few weeks ago. My derm just said to only use things she recommends since she knows the drugs in them. It could be fine, but she didn't even want to discuss.
Hi all - just a work day and had a derm appointment. Now working. Exciting stuff over here.
MH meal plans. We rarely stick to it, we are awful. We plan in a few takeout nights a week. I'm the worst about lunch planning and normally have to trash 3/4 of a lettuce container. Embarrassing.

We were really good at meal planning when we were doing a strict Paleo diet. Now we call it good if H remembers to thaw something in the morning AND it's sounds good to me by dinnertime.
I've gotten really bad about lunch too. I used to be good about making salads at home but lately I've been getting salad bar from the cafeteria instead.

I'm jealous your derm sees you during pregnancy. Mines so busy that they turn patients away for many things, pregnancy included. They told me when I got married (and I let her know we were going to start trying) to call back when I was done having kids. Oh.

sophiegrace ugh! How obnoxious, guess their practice must have no shortage of patients. You would think they would want you to come in for annual skin checks. She prescribed me two class B creams and switched my face wash back to Cetaphil and a new lotion. I think I'll call my OB and have her clear the prescriptions before I fill them though even though, just to make sure we are all on the same page.

It's about 8-10 months out when scheduling non emergent patients through our office, but they are getting people in same day if we have a bad feeling about a lesion so I guess it's not all bad. Pretty frustrating, though. I desperately need something better than cetaphil.
I do like half meal planning, half leftovers and half day of buying. (Ok, I realize that is more than a whole, but you kwim) I usually end up bringing leftovers for lunch too. I hate when I haven't planned or even given myself options because I hate cooking and not being prepared stresses me out. So I make sure to put at least minimal effort in or tell my H he's in charge. That's my favorite option
