H has yesterday and Monday off so it doesn't feel like Wednesday in this house. I had to triple check myself before posting that. H waited until yesterday to take care of his car inspection and guess who had 2hr lines. But of course he had child for most of the day so he 'couldn't' wait that long so I have to scramble to help him this morning. Oyi. Silly guy
In other news we managed to buy a practically new city select double stroller for $250 yesterday and it came with a car seat adapter and a 'console'. That sucker costs $700 new and then you have to buy a car seat adapter etc. The cheapest I had found on cl was about $400. Considering H was set on this stroller however he didn't want to spend money on it I am ecstatic.
Got some good news yesterday, a friend of mine from the West Coast is finally pregnant! (due in November as well) She's been trying and by-passed for so long, both her and her spouse had things going on with plenty of doctors and surgery but she is finally pregnant. She was the friend I was nervous about telling about our pregnancy news because she had been trying actively for 5+ years.
AW: We're having trouble with our announcement card. (Due to family issues, we're trying to keep the pregnancy off social media) DH is a Red Sox fan and I'm a Yankees Fan and we get matching onesies representing each team. I want it to say something like "Baby Cheshie picks a team November 2016" Does that sound silly? Too poetry-y? I'm also afraid people will think this is an announcement it's a boy because of the theme but I really like sports, in fact I'm more into sports than DH. I watch baseball, but I do fantasy football and fantasy hockey. He's not a fair weather fan, he just rather wait till the playoffs, see where his team is and go from there. (I don't know what that is...) I'm a watch from opening day, alerts to my phone if I can't watch, not obsessed but pretty darn close.
cheshie6 I think that sounds like a cute announcement. If you were specifying a sex, you could say something like "Baby Boy/Girl Cheshie..." but in absence of that, I think most people will understand that it's neutral at this point.
Not much on our agenda today, just housework and laundry (thrill).
On a fun note, I went to Destination Maternity yesterday and got some cute things; best part was they have a play area so DS was content to hang out in there while I shopped/tried on. My mom came and was so excited to join since we were living out of town during my last pregnancy--she didn't get to do much of the pre-baby shopping/planning with me.
sophiegrace Has dairy always bothered your stomach ? I'm guessing not. That is not the news you want right before ice cream season I wasn't consuming much dairy prior to getting pregnant but increased quite a bit with pregnancy, I've noticed a gas increase but that could also just be pregnancy itself.
cheshie6 We did a sports themed announcement too and I didn't get the impression that people assumed it was boys because a lot of people still asked if we know what we're having. That's a cute announcement, I say go with it!
LizInFL Were they giving 30% in store also? I got the email and meant to shop and got busy with house Reno stuff. Grab anything good you wanna share?!
I just grabbed my Starbucks, got into work, and am ready to take on the day. Sort of. Work is not as crazy this week as I anticipated and I tend to let my hair down when it's like that and then get caught off guard.
So I have an embarassing question related to pregnancy symptoms. I am having extreeeeeeeeme sensitivity down below. As in even the most minuscule stimulation (like cleaning myself in the shower) or just making out with my husband gives me an orgasm and then I get a little stomach/abdomen spasm (BH I presume). Will this go away? It's rather obnoxious.
kleigh Yes, they were still doing the sale in store. It wasn't on *everything* but it covered a lot of stuff. They also had several "buy one, get one half off" or similar deals.
I was actually looking for a dress for an event tomorrow, but I also found a couple tops in particular that I'm obsessed with. Top 1 Top 2 in grey; this looks kind of boring but it was super cute and comfy on; looked great with some white ankle jeans I had on.
I also got a few basic tees, etc., and some black/white check ankle pants (well, on me they are a capri/ankle hybrid but on everyone else they'd be ankle-length!) that I am loving.
LizInFL I am all about the comfort with being pregnant over summer. Those tops are adorable!! I need to get myself a swimsuit but I cringe thinking about it. I saw a couple cute ones on their site but I def need to try swimsuits on (cannot buy online)..

I know, I got brave an ordered a suit from online b/c I was afraid the sale would expire...I think it ended online but the swimsuits were one of the things that were 30% off yesterday in-store. They had a good selection!
aggiebug wow sounds like an awesome deal! We really need to start looking into all this fun stuff.
cheshie6 That's so great about your friend! And I think your announcement sounds really cute. I don't think it sounds like a boy announcement.
I am so tired today! Usually short weeks go by fast but I had to work all holiday weekend so I feel like I haven't had a break. I hope my boss doesn't expect conference calls this weekend because I need to go at least one day without hearing his voice.
I'm nervous about bathing suits. I bought black bathing suit shorts last year and a long top so I'll have to see if those still fit. Hopefully I'll just need to buy a new top this year.
cheshie6, I think that announcement sounds adorable! kleigh, no advice because I've never experienced anything like that, but I guess it makes sense because there is so much extra blood flow? Sorry, I'm sure it's slightly fun but mostly annoying.
I have my first trial tomorrow. It's just a small claims matter but I'm nervous as hell and worried that I haven't prepared enough because I've been so ridiculously busy with everything else I have going on in my other cases. Thinking of putting my phone and email on do not disturb for the next few hours so I can concentrate just on this.
aggiebug Awesome deal! We need a double stroller and I hadn't thought to check second hand for some reason.
Last night at the store, the deli guy asked what we are having. I was like not yet. Guess I look decidedly pregnant. And so it begins. Preparing for the onslaught of "when are you due?" "What are you having?" "What are you going to name the baby?"
My turn for a hydration question. So, I drink during the day and I appear hydrated. I drink a glass of water before I go to sleep so I usually have to get up and pee around 5. I've noticed that it's much darker at that time than during the day where it's very light. How do you stay hydrated during the night or should I not worry since it's fine during the day?
Gotta get dinner supplies, return some tile samples, and Lillian has open gym this afternoon. So proud of her today. She ate all her oatmeal with a spoon with no spills! And she sat on the potty when we went in together. Such a big girl!
I just sucked it up & wore a bikini over the weekend. IGAF anymore and I don't want to spend money on a maternity bathing suit. #Imcheap
I wore a bikini last time and plan to do the same this time. I think I wore a string one to accommodate my growing derriere and boobs.
This is what I want to do but because I previously had a pretty small chest most of my tops are "cups" and/or have some padding. I reeeally do not want to buy maternity stuff, I know we are one (two) and done (unless by some stroke of clincidence we get pregnant on our own) so I know these things are only going to last me a couple months.
ClassyMrsA, I drink TONS of water throughout the day (minimum 2 liters, often more) and I have noticed that I also have very dark urine when I go first thing in the morning.
I don't think it's anything to worry about if you're keeping well-hydrated throughout the day. I'm certainly not going to be purposely waking myself up at night just to drink water (although I guess now that I think about it, sometimes if I happen to wake middle of the night to pee I often do take a few sips from the bottle by my bed).

ClassyMrsA I agree with dashook. You lose a lot of water when you sleep, I'm not sure there's much to do about it. I notice the same thing with my FMU.

My lunch today is embarrassing. I decided to go to the big cafeteria for better options. There was pizza, ravioli, sandwiches, salads, and so much more... I grabbed the taquitos. And I needed something else besides just taquitos so I grabbed a bag of chips.
starbuck27 If you end up staying home, it is pretty awesome. There's definitely pros and cons, ups and downs, but I like it. I think I'll be ready to work again when L starts pre-k in 3 years, but for now I love spending the day with her. I'm apprehensive about being home with her and a baby. Also, when is Chick fil a not insane?

That doesn't sounds embarrassing at all goldenlove3....it sounds like a glorious lunch.
I agree with PP ClassyMrsA, urine always concentrates when you're sleeping and your body doesn't need much when you're at rest so as long as you're feeling good during the day I wouldn't worry. Our billing lady got a little drunk at the MDW party we had at our house and asked me at least a dozen times what we are having. I finally started making up animals because it got so annoying.
tallblonde and tgrimes1980 I also plan on just sucking it up and wearing one of my bikinis. Maybe it'll keep me motivated to work out more and keep the rest of my body somewhat in shape (lol)

Thanks, that's encouraging! I think I'll like most days? lol
Chick-fil-a is generally a little nuts, but today was something special. The drive-thru line circled the restaurant twice, and there wasn't a single open table inside.
Holy crap! That is insane.
And yes, I like most days. The main thing is that spending every single day with small children can be a bit much. Instead of work and home you just have home. You have to take time away, make your H take the kids and get out, put things in place to stay sane and busy. But I love doing our activities, running errands, playing together, watching her learn and grow.
sophiegrace Lol. When I was pregnant with L my response became either "a human, I hope" or something along the lines of a pack of wolves or maybe a wild bear.

Feel free to talk about your feels about SAH starbuck27. It's a conversation on hold at our house right now because we aren't exactly seeing eye to eye. H wants me to stay home, his argument is that he works his butt off to be able to provide for his family and there is no logical reason to put her in daycare just so I can work. I am honestly worried about being home all day everyday. Even when work drives me insane I get a lot of happiness and feel accomplished at the end of the day. I also think daycare has its benefits for socialization since we don't have friends with small children nearby. I feel like my mental health might suffer. Then we both feel like assholes because we understand where the other is coming from. I know that all this can change when she gets here and I might never want to leave the house without her again, but it's not reasonable to wait until that time in order to find decent child care. I guess I could set something up and risk losing a deposit, but idk.

dashook you are going to do awesome. I'm always in awe of your posts about work because it's so beyond what I can fathom doing in a day. You got this.
kleigh my stomachs always been sensitive, but I had the luxury of pepto and alka seltzer. It's something I probably should have investigated deeper years ago. But I love and appreciate food so so much. I'm hoping that going dairy free for a bit helps and there's nothing else I have to cut out. I'm SUPER bummed about ice cream, but the pain has gotten to the point where it's so not worth it. Also, T&Ps to the lady bits. My initial reaction was slight jealously, but I'm sure that by now it's getting pretty annoying especially the BH that follow. I hate that.
