This is the second time LO has gone down for an afternoon nap and slept for awhile. He's still sleeping and its 7:30 and he fell asleep at 5! Do I wake him until it's bedtime around 9:30 ish or do I just let him sleep? I don't remember what happened last time he did this haha!

This keeps happening to me and I feel like it's a no win. The time I didn't wake her, she slept until 1 am and then was awake every hour til I gave up at 5:30. The time I woke her, she was super fussy and didn't go to sleep til 11. I am praying for a more consistent schedule soon so that stops happening.
I think most people are team sleep, but for us waking works better. If she isn't up from her last nap by 5:30 the whole night is a disaster. She rarely needs to be woken though but maybe like once a week
I would let the baby sleep, but you could also start trying to adjust his bedtime. 9:30 is a normal bedtime for weeks 1-6, but after that, you may want to start working towards a bedtime of 7 or 8, working towards that magical 12 hours of sleep (with or without wakings). They say they should be awake for about 2 hours before going down for the night, so maybe if you tried putting him down earlier at night, he would drop the last nap, be up from about 5 to 7, and then go down for the night.

He was going down about 8 for the longest and then for some reason he changed it up on me last week. He would not go down at all before 9! So I just figured it wasn't worth me taking so much time to get him to fall asleep when he would just do it on his own after 9 haha! He actually doesn't typically take a nap that late in the evening, but for some reason he was extra tired yesterday. He is usually up by 5 for the rest of the evening. Thanks for the input though! I am definitely working towards the long hours of sleep!!
