Or is anybody else already over being pregnant in the "summer?!?" We had AWFUL weather here, chilly and rainy, up until like a week or two ago. Now it's 80-90 every day with no adjustment in between. The heat makes me exhausted, feel dehydrated and like I'm suffocating.
I couldn't even find a good meme to post with this. Wah! Ok. I'm done whining now. Please go back about your business.

ME. Pregnancy and summer is the worst combination. I'm just happy I won't be nine months pregnant in August. That sounds like hell. And that I don't live in Florida anymore. At least in VA the humidity never reaches the unbearable level and we get a reprieve towards the end of August/early September.

I didn't know you were in VA. I grew up there. The humidity in VA is still much worse than here in WI. I always laugh when people complain about it here. I had to go back to 4 times in May/June/July 3 years in a row for custody hearings when we were getting custody of my great niece. It was always so much more pleasant back here than there.
Oh no no.... I definitely wouldn't want to be that far along. I'll be in third tri the beginning of September and my past experiences have been still in first or barely out of it. I'm in MD and the humidity the other day was 99-100% most of the day. It was pretty disgusting. I don't think it's been like that since I've been here.

I'm so happy we have dry heat here. Humidity sucks. At least when it's 100 and dry you can cool off and not feel like you're being suffocated. That being said, it's supposed to be over 100 by the weekend and I am not looking forward to it. My mom was 9 months pregnant with my sisters in August, I don't know how she did it- 100+ degrees with twins.

Word. I am having insane allergies. I don't even know what to do to get some relief. I'm taking benedryl at night but nothing during the day. I am so miserable.

Do Zyrtec or Claritin work for you? I think those were on the safe list I got from my RE. I could not function if I weren't taking some kind of allergy meds. I take the tiny little 24-hour Zyrtec (cetirizine is the generic, and it works just as well) pills and they are miraculous.
requiressnacks, have you tried a netti pot or a saline rinse at night for your allergies? When they turned on the ac at my work it kicked up a ton of dust and yucky stuff and I found that the netti pot really helped to clean out everything.

I will need to try Zyrtec! Claritin keeps me up all night.
I was sort of trying to be med-free, but I am downright miserable lately.
The worst part of being pregnant in the summer is no booze. IMO. But at least I can eat my weight in ice cream guilt free.
Yes to this!!
Going camping in June and not being able to drink will be sad.
Summers are pretty mild here. It gets the warmest in September and October. Hopefully with the El Nino, we won't have a bad fire season. Smokey air is the worst.

Ahh, I wish I could go camping! We were planning to do a trip this summer, but the woods around here are Mosquito Central and I am being super paranoid about the potential for zika virus. I think I am confined to the indoors for a while.

My doctor wasn't concerned, but I am planning on wearing mosquito repelling bracelets, spraying myself down with bug spray, and I just ordered a bunch on mosquito coils for burning in the evening. And wearing long pants and sleeves when I can tolerate it.

Thanks littlelion!! I think I'll go with the OFF Deep Woods Dry since I know I've seen that one in stores. That Ben's looks good but its not Amazon Prime, so it won't make it to me in time.
My H takes the kids camping several times every summer. I don't go -- with the excuse that I have to stay home with the dog (the beach at the state park they go to doesn't allow dogs and that takes up a big chunk of their day). This year I am doubling down on excuses with mosquitoes. They're no joke here. And I swear they don't GAF about mosquito repellent. I douse myself in Deep Wood's Off and still get attacked.
I think they're going Father's Day weekend and I kinda can't wait!
