Hi everyone! I spent way too much time deciding what pictures to print out this morning. As a result DD fell asleep on the way home from Wal-Mart. Now I'm chilling in my car under the shade of a tree by the river while she sleeps.
I had a mom friend over for a play date this morning. Now DD and I are watching Wizard of Oz while the boys nap. Tonight we're going to the gym and dunkin donuts for national donut day! Which sounds like an oxymoron but you can't not celebrate a holiday right

Today went by surprisingly fast. We ran some errands this morning and had a playdate this afternoon. My aunts 80h birthday is next week so I'm having DD1 make art everyday and then I'll put it all together in a book, she will love it.
Today was the last day of DD's morning summer camp week, and then we had another playdate. Both kids took solid naps, so it was a pretty quick day for us too, although now they are still up whereas with no naps, they would have been in bed an hour ago. This evening, we made chalk paint and painted the sidewalk and then I pushed DS around on his trike a bit. No real plans for the weekend. Hope to work on summer plans and clean the garage.
Happy weekend everyone! It feels so good to have my DH home to help with bedtime. He made it home and brought a cold with him, so I feel bad he feels lousy but at least I have someone helping to get the boys settled down.
We had a doctor's appointment today then went to the pool for the first time this year. I'm looking forward to spending some time there, although it's going to take some adjusting to get used to having two in the pool. I usually spy on the other moms with more than one kid to see what they do.
This weekend will probably be low-key, especially with DH being sick. In the summer we typically do pool and a farmers market one of the days. If I feel ambitious I'll load the kids up in a bike trailer and check out garage sales. They've been able to sit together nicely so far in the trailer and then I can count that as a workout.
I quit my job. I've just completed my first full week back to SAH in 4 months. It feels surreal- almost like I never stopped staying home. In true fashion, now that money is a lot tighter, my freezer and AC are both on the fritz. Really trying hard not to sweat it...literally, lol. I'm trying to decide what I'd like to do as far as preschool for DD now that she's 3. We definitely can't afford the fulltime daycare/preschool she was attending when I worked, even though they're my top choice. I've been looking into Co-ops, but I'm not sure those are my cup of tea, either. Please feel free to share any experience you may have with them.
My mom got LO a workbook at garage sale that came with a CD for a computer game, neither the book nor CD had been used. He is LOVING the game. I'm actually pleased with it so far too from the educational quality aspect. So many games - computer or board (using that term broadly) - pitch being educational, but they kind of reveal the answers too much that kids don't truly have to learn the content or they have other significant educational flaws.
Today has been mostly cleaning so far. I just found out my bil and sil are coming to visit in a couple of weeks so I started to organize some of the clutter. After DD goes to bed, I think I'm going to pain the trim in the bathroom. I'm hoping it won't be too hard to do...we have some weird poles in there that goes from the sink to the ceiling that need to be painted too.
@mommatotwo Welcome back! I hope you find adjusting back to SAHM life easy
Our Housewarming Party is in T -2 hours. I have 4 cookie sheets of loaded potato skins to cook, deviled eggs to put together, and meatballs and kielbasa to plate on toothpicks. I have 3 games picked out in addition to the fire later.

younglove316 The party went really well Two of our friends showed up an entire hour early and I felt really awkward setting the last of the food up while they were here. I had 3 games planned out and about 6 people out of 17 played them, which was fine. The people who played got really into them. I picked "Name that Tune" with songs about home, a trivia/memory game the had our friends look in the rooms and answer questions, and a hidden key game. I had little plaques about home for prizes. H was able to have the fire outside. We got a tons of plants to plant which is great because H wanted to plant this summer anyway. We also got Jenga and a gift card to Target. I'm very happy we did it, but also very happy it is over. I overdid it took much with all the cooking, cleaning, and setting up and am in a lot of pain today from what I believe is a sciatica flare up.
Welcome back @mommatotwo! I'm glad you made a decision and hope you have a smooth transition.
We've had a a fairly good weekend. It was supposed to be rain all weekend but except for a short thunderstorm last night it has been dry. We went to the zoo this morning and later will bust out the pool and water table and grill out.
This weekend has gone by super fast. MH and I had a gift card to a local restaurant so we decided to get take out today. We got enough food for lunch and dinner and possibly even dinner tomorrow!
It's nice to go out but sometimes it's nice to enjoy restaurant food from the comfort of your sofa and lounge in pjs
teraiin One of the best dates H and I had was ordering carside to go from Applebees and taking it to the beach after sunset. It was so nice.
I'm at the ER for my leg pain based I the advice on the nurse from my insurance. I was looking for treatment until tomorrow. I feel this is overkill for what is possibly nothing but sciatica. My legs hurt and Tylenol did nothing to ease the pain.

Oh no! Hope your pain eases soon the ER is never any fun
Just relaxing for a bit, watching a movie, after LO nailed me with a tennis ball. Fairly soon, I need to actually get some more stuff done. I have lots of stuff I want to get done yet today. Wish me luck because I'll need it.
Well, DD has a bunch of weird scabs...should probably go to the doctor, but we have a busy day planned tomorrow... I need to inspect them, but DH has retired with a headache and cannot be disturbed, and I hate doing that myself because she totally freaks out whenever I suggest she has anything wrong...
So they confirmed I have radiculopathy aka sciatica. Rest, Tylenol, soaks, and a heating pad are the treatments. Oh and if I can get my OB or PCP to write a prescription possibly a massage.

I had a lot of pain when I was pregnant and the OB sent me to this hippie physical therapist. They had a super warm pool and it was the best feeling to get in and do the exercises.
I am worried DD has MRSA...DH took her to urgent care because she has more sores! Ugg... Cancelled plans for tomorrow. She's going to be super bummed and hard to handle if we have to avoid all social things for a few days.

A prescription for a massage would be amazing!
I feel fortunate that I didn't get much siatica pain during pregnancy. However j did get such bad heart burn that I'd projectile vomit (sorry Tmi). I had it down to a science I could eat NOTHING after 6 pm, had to take heart burn meds at 7:30, could not lie down until 10:30, and nothing to drink after about 9 even water. Blehhhh

Update: probably not MRSA--just regular impetigo. Still gross and a huge pain. But I think she'll be able to go to preschool on Tuesday as long as she seems to be healing since all her sores can be covered up and she'll have been on antibiotics for almost 2 days.
