H goes on long runs on Saturday mornings so if we have any plans or I want to be productive I have to wake up at 6:30 to shower before child awakes. Makes me not like Saturday mornings so much.
I didn't fall asleep before taking my nausea meds which means today is off to a better start than yesterday though. I feel like I can do more than lay on the couch all day
No big plans hopefully hit up our church yard sale and take a nap sometime.
Woke up at 4 again and read until about 5. L came in our bed at 6ish and woke up at 7:30. So I'm kind of tired, but what's new. DH is giving the SAT this morning so he'll be gone until 2. Still, an extra $125 is always good. My mom is taking me and L to breakfast in a town in the hill country that's not too far away. Then we'll hang out with her at her house until lunchtime.
DH and I are going to a going away party this afternoon. We also need to pack some boxes today. I've gotten some done, but Wednesday is creeping closer and closer with most stuff not packed yet. I still don't quite believe we are actually moving!
I need to pick a class for L for the summer. Dance or continue gymnastics?
danib I hear you on the potty training, we started in earnest this week and have had good and bad days. It is so frustrating when I am confident he needs to go and take him to the bathroom, he doesn't do anything, and then wets himself 5 minutes later. Ah, two year olds.
Not much on our agenda today; DH is out working in the yard while I hang pictures in DS's room (4 of them, stacked 2x2...wish me luck). They turned out super cute, I'll post a pic later. DH has a night-flight tonight so he'll be sleeping this afternoon, and I will probably take DS over to my parents for dinner and to hang out at their pool.
ClassyMrsA Unless L is bored with gymnastics, I'd keep her there. IMO, gymnastics is way more fun than dance at this age.
She loves gymnastics. I'm bored with it. Lol. Same stupid songs and activities for a year. It's been great for her because she knows what to do, but it's become very monotonous for me. But a different place might make it fun again.
Good morning. I was up with DS at 5:30. Thankfully H got up around 7 and I was able to go back to bed. We are heading to the park so H can run and DS and I can play.
No other plans today. I hope to unpack and get some laundry done. Exciting stuff!
Afternoon! My mom just left after coming over to go to a kids festival in town and then helping with annoying to-dos around the apt. J is somehow still napping, guess we wore him out.
I just ordered 2 pairs of sandals since my feet are not comfortable in any sandals right now, even my trusty havianas. I ordered birkenstock gizeh in silver and gold Jack rogers..so we will see if my trendy or preppy side win out based on which ones fit. Or maybe I'll keep both.
Oh and she brought the communal maternity clothes! I'm excited to go through them. I feel very much in the frumpy stage where it's not clear I'm pregnant in anything loose, but I don't have much fitted clothing.
We had a great day! Went to the city Island which has a small kids amusement park, playground, splash pad, and beaches with a group of families from work! It's a ferry ride over, so DS was excited. It was also a lot of fun to hang out with other families. DS only had enough attention span for 3 rides and would not run around the splash pad with out holding our hands, but hey, you can't win them all.
DH is really starting to piss me off. It's partially me being tired and impatient, I am totally aware of my part, but when I give him an answer he continues to question/push the subject, making what should be a simple question/answer turn into an hour long argument. Then it's "I was only asking". No you were only asking an hour ago, after that you were arguing.
Ugh, the story of my relationship! Ok, thats a bit dramatic, but I totally feel you. Just let me answer what I want to answer and stop pressing my buttons!
We spent all day to with E in underwear or not wearing pants. Had one accident while watching a movie before bed. Proud but bummed at the same time. I think just going no pants or indies was the way to go. We'll probably try again but not sure since he's going to Grandparents' for the day so we can get some work done on the E's big boy room. FX!
danib, One night we had two accidents in a 6 hour period. I saw that as a success mh didn't think it was such a successful night.
Accidents happen. Sounds like DS is doing great. We have a lot of false alarms with popping in the potty. E says he has to then doesn't even want to try. Frustrating!
Just keep doing what you're doing, he'll get there.
buckyb, it's just time consuming. I show my lazy side on this because sometimes he has to go and I really don't want to take him to the toilet but know I have to do it. Lol! Mother of the year!
htk1113 That is my biggest complaint about potty-training, the 'time-consumingness'. Every trip to the bathroom seems to take an eternity, and obviously there are many trips. I also like the convenience of diapers/not having to worry about pottying in public, etc.
tallblonde yay for Jack Rogers! Gold is the best, it goes with everything. We recently converted my mom after years of her saying she didn't think they'd be comfortable, etc. She got them a couple weeks ago and I think she's been wearing them every time I've seen her since SaveSave

I was reading that they take a while to break in, so I'm hoping that's why I didn't like them last time. I think they'd be work appropriate since we are pretty casual. Glad your mom likes them!
Morning! Today is off to a slow start. DS was up early so I'm hoping for an early nap (selfishly for me, too)
DH had a flight last night so he got home around 6:30 am and promptly went to bed. Not sure when he will surface. I hate these overnight shifts, they completely ruin the weekend b/c Saturday he needs to sleep, and then Sunday he is exhausted and trying to catch up. He's had them two weekends in a row, luckily he's not on the schedule again til July.
My day started at 6am with a toddler with a 103* fever! Gave tylenol then which brought the fever down. It's been normal since like 10 and he's acting mostly normal. And obviously the tylenol has worn off by now. I'm really hoping this was a fluke and he's fine the rest of the day and good for daycare tomorrow. My kid has asthma and has had bronchiolitis several times so I'm always worried it's going to turn into pneumonia.
Oh hangry I hope it's nothing and LO continues to feel better.
Today I took H to the airport so he could fly home for his granddad's funeral. Then DD and I went to church and are now home. She is napping and I am on the couch watching Pretty Woman and wallowing in my emotions.
hangry I hope all is ok and it was just a quick little thing. I have asthma too, the littlest cold becomes such a concern.
sophiegrace Nipples = disturbing ... All the things my sisters warned me about how did they forget to tell me they'd get so big they'd need their own zip code?
I'm sick of peeing and my nipples are starting to scare me.
That is all my weekend has to offer y'all right now.
+2 for the tired of peeing. and OMG nipples. I have woken myself up because I have somehow pinched my nipple with my body while turning over at night? THIS IS NOT OK! I think its even worse considering I found out I was pregnant the day after I nursed DD for the last night. Poor things had no chance to get close to normal.
We had our final walk through at the new house. I can't believe tomorrow it will be ours and Wednesday we move in! Crazy!!!
Slowly working on packing. DNW. I hate hate hate packing. At least it's only 30 miles away so we don't have to pack up lamps and blankets and stuff like we did when we moved to and from CO. Still...all the toys and books and kitchen crap. Bleh.
The top of my bump keeps feeling tight. Not the lower area where my uterus is. Just the top and sides. Weird and slightly disturbing. The only pattern I've noticed is that it's only in the afternoons. Hmm.
Thanks for all the well wishes, must have worked too. DS woke up from his nap again without a fever! He's been drinking water like a champ, I'm so proud of him.
