andtheheartbreakers omg I would have been livid. Our neighbors have college age kids who sometimes play loud music out by their pool, but they would be understanding if we asked them to turn it down. Thankfully we have a fairly loud room AC unit in our room, and the white noise in Z's room that keeps the sound out a bit.
Lol andtheheartbreakers I'm sorry they are such dicks but I am laughing so hard at how stupid their comments were. Such intelligent burns. I can seem them saying "Oooooh your mama's so poor she can't even afford a deeeeeck. BURN!"

andtheheartbreakers, sorry you have to deal with such asshats. I wouldn't event communicate with them anymore, they aren't worth it. Just report issues to the bylaw.
Just found out my good friend from grad. school is having twins!!!
caitost21 so sorry you are feeling so awful! I just got over something similar and it was the worst!
I took the plunge and bought a Dockatot for a ridiculous amount of money ($260) yesterday. They had it at a local baby store and after hearing so many good things about them, I bought it. I put F in it and he immediately starting loving on it and clapping. When it was bedtime, I put him in it completely awake (he has been nursing to sleep but I'm trying to break it) and he just looked around and slowly fell asleep. NO CRYING! This is the kid who has been sleeping in a swing for months and when I tried putting him in the crib two days ago he woke up crying every 40 minutes until I put him in the swing. Instead of feeding at 10, 1, 4 and up at 5, he was up at only 12 and 5 for a quick feed and slept until 645. I think he would've slept even better if he didn't have this cough. I'm so excited that we are back in the crib and this stupidly expensive thing actually worked! I'm hoping he will continue to lengthen the times between feeds, but if not, then I'll do Ferber's method of gradual lengthening.

Thanks for all the love about my asshat neighbours. I still am in such disbelief that they were so idiotic. We called bylaw, they had nobody on so told us they had to forward us to the RCMP detachment. So we talked to them and the dispatcher was rude and told us that she had actual 911 calls coming in, and this wasn't an emergency so she would pass it on when she could. I get that it wasn't an emergency, but it's still a violation of bylaws and if they have no one on then someone has to address it.
So the officer came out, and we only knew he was there because suddenly we could hear faint murmuring instead of yelling. Which just proved our point that they could still have been out there enjoying themselves at a reasonable level. Then the officer called us to inform us that he went there, and said to us "usually I deal with domestic violence calls, so what if that had come in while you had me out on a noise complaint?". Again, dude, if the bylaw are unavailable this is still your job even if it's less glamourous. And this wouldn't be such a big deal if it was a once in a while thing, but it is EVERY weekend. Always.
We move in September, so it's just getting through a couple months but I will call bylaw every single weekend if they keep up with their usual weekend partying.
hovenb AMAZING! I had to google what a dockatot was, it looks so cozy no wonder he had a great sleep. I am so happy for you, and he looks so beautiful and peaceful in that photo.
I should add that he is sleeping on the swing pillow that I cut off from the swing because he likes rubbing his cheek on it but I'll probably take it out tonight. And his sleep sack is called nested bean. It's a weighted egg on his chest (it's very light though). The sack is pretty fitted which I think makes him more cozy.
Didn't know my deck made me a millionaire! KASHING
Speaking of millionaire, a girl I used to work with just posted on Facebook that she and her husband won a million dollar.
Colour me jealous
Why would someone post that on fb??? That is incredibly tacky and dangerous. Why not just put up a sign that says, "I have more money than you, please steal from me."

Lol!!! Indeed. I've seen many people congratulate them on FB this morning and thought that she was pregnant or something.
Ugh the neighbors a street over decided last night to light fireworks off. My poor cat was out of his mind & the woke up Val. Thankfully she was able to settle herself down, but I was pissed that they woke her up!
Plus side is Val slept in till 9:30. I brought her into bed to nurse and she kinda fell back to sleep till 10:20! Nice lazy Sunday morning with my baby. H got up with DS before 7 & DS used the potty on his own. He asked to sit on it & went pee! Of course he hates me so he is being difficult about it since I came downstairs.
I made some kick ass breakfast burritos. I even have extra all wrapped & ready to go in the fridge for during the work week!
pineapplesmoothie - I think my mom forgot to tell me and the rest of the fam lives in the same 40 mile radius, so I was out of the loop. They're doing a storytelling brunch this morning. She was a fiesty woman.
Main floor is mopped! H thinks he's turning around. Gorgeous day, so I think the park and errands are on deck for the day.
It hasn't rain like this in more than a month so no complaining. Had a nice lunch at a little pub near our house and then went and got coffee and timbits to watch a movie.

I swear I'll start and eat better on Monday haha
I'm starting on Tuesday! Pub food sounds delicious right now.

J will be cutting his top teeth soon. I can see them through his gums. I finally pulled out the vtech Walker for him and he loves it. He also learned to crawl using his knees (previously he just pulled himself by his arms) and stand this weekend. Big weekend here.

We have been so busy this weekend. H leaves tomorrow with the dogs for California. Tomorrow! It's going to be one giant stress-filled, blurred together week and a half as my mom and I manage all the rest of the house touch ups, prepping for open house, and then scrambling to pack between the open house and our flight to CA! Miss being here and hope to get a breather to catch up soon.
