The weather kind of shit canned any yard work efforts. After the craziness of memorial weekend it's nice to not have any plans. Might get some shopping in today and tomorrow DS has his first swimming lesson.
At DS soccer right now then a quick trip to the US to pick up some things we've ordered, do some cookie shopping of kinds we don't have here and then lunch at Pizza Hut (they always have things we don't have and it's cheap!).
Relaxing right now. About to have second breakfast. Had planned on vacuuming today, but we have friends coming over later with their German Shepherd so there's no point in vacuuming today. When our dog and their dog get going fur goes everywhere!

I have a hair appointment and kid-free target run on my afternoon agenda, and dinner with my sisters tonight at my favorite Indian restaurant. I'm so excited! Till then, it's laundry and cleaning. I just sorted through my DD's clothes to weed out the outgrown stuff to give to my niece.
Nothing exciting here! I got to relax until 11ish bc my H took Lo out to breakfast and to run errands. So I laid in bed and did nothing which was glorious. It's kind of gloomy today so we will lay low. My H has been working like crazy this week so it'll nice to have a day at home with another adult in the house!
sodapop so like, cookies from a bakery? What kind? Let me live vicariously through your cookie shopping!
Not much going on here. DH works today. Hopefully he's off somewhat early. I plan to catch up on laundry, so exciting!
No just grocery stores ones, lol. We're in a very crappy town... There are brands like Keebler that are not available in Canada and often some Oreos. We didn't find anything interesting though:-(. ETA: it's the US city next to us that is crappy, not the city where we live.
I slept terribly last night, so I'll probably take a nap later. It's gorgeous out, so the dogs and I might go down to the dog park. It's on the lake, so I can sit with my feet in the water for a while.
H and I spent the morning meeting with our realtor and then walking a lot we're thinking about buying. With little K on the way and thinking about having a second fairly soon after, plus my need for a full-time dedicated office space and H's mom wanting to stay with us for a while... we're short on space 'round here. None of the houses in our area with enough space and the right layout really work for us, so we figure we'll just build our own.
And then, we came across this beautiful flat lot in a great area of our HOA, on a dead end street... for only $5k. Kismet, I think.
pismoduo , a lot for 5K? That's insane and awesome.
I know! It's a good sized lot, too. Almost a quarter acre. I could buy the lot outright this summer without impacting our financials all that much. And with the lot being that cheap, we'll have a good amount of equity going in, so we might not need to put much cash down on the new place.
Ended up doing a Target run where I scored a crib mattress and changing pad covers. Waiting for their diapers to go on sale so I can stock up. Is anyone doing diaper or formula subscriptions? I'm thinking about either target or amazon.
DS and I just got back from the park and he's down for a nap. I'm thinking I might close my eyes for a second too.

If you don't mind my asking when you come over do you cross on the Port Huron side or the detroit side? There is a Detroit bridge to Canada right or am I crazy?

I think there is but that's not where we are. We go to Ogdensburg in NY. It's about 1 hour from where we leave.

I have done nothing all day. My plan was to clean out my car this afternoon but it's looking a little dark out so I think I'll pass, on top of that my hips are hurting again boo.

Cool I've only been to NY once. My grandparents used to visit us from Canada and vise versa but we lived on the PH side at the time, I was going to give some store recommendations but I don't know anything about NY.
H is driving me batty. He always has these "projects" that he works on, and he always says he doesn't need my help and he can do it. And then, inevitably, I hear "babe, can you get me x?" and then I do. And then "Babe, can you get me y?" "Babe, can you stand here and hold this?"
Right now he keeps telling me we should have more screws for something than we have, but he can't find them. Dude, I have shown you where every box of miscellaneous screws are that we have. If it' not there, we don't have it. Stop asking me.

I've thought about it. Idk why I don't. I usually get a couple boxes when they have the $10 gift card for 2 boxes deal.

I'm waiting to see how many boxes my mom gets. She's been buying a box every time she goes grocery shopping, since about the 13 week mark.

Bridal shower is all done. It was so long and so hot. I was eager to leave. But C did ok with my sister. They had one screaming fit, but some ice cream and Nemo helped.
We talked to my SIL about her baby shower. I'm hosting at our house on August 13. I hope I don't regret that since it's only 18 days before my due date! It'll be fun anyway. And give me something to take my mind off of being super pregnant.
Lol annapunkalunka I'm in your shoes too. Co-hosting my SIL's baby shower August 6th. I'm sure it will be a great distraction once I'm huge and miserable
I just cleaned both bathrooms for what I think is the last time...I'm so out of breath and dizzy. I actually didn't fully clean them, only the shower and tub...
Aside from that, the rain has let up for the moment but it's coming again, the sky is still pretty dark.

It's cold and raining today. We watched finding nemo this morning. Now C is napping and I'm printing some free printables for the baby's room. Thrilling day, really.
I'm trying to clean from vacation plus move stuff out of the guest room to paint for DD's new room. I did too much this morning and she didn't nap so now I'm exhausted and lazy.
