DDs 1+2 had their first swimming lesson today. It's one where a parent is in the water with them (otherwise our girls would never do it!), and DH said it was about like he expected - they clung to him pretty much the whole time. But since they've never been in water deeper than a bathtub/wading pool, and this was 4ft, I think that's fine. They just need to get used to it.
Otherwise I'm trying to get one work project finished since I'm expecting another project to start very soon.
M woke up a bunch of times last night. It figures, I make 8 oz for overnight one night, she eats 4, so last night I made 4 oz and she decided she wanted 8. I would kill for some consistency from her.
On the bright side, it's just the two of us for most of the day, and my mom will probably let me grab a nap later. I need to throw in a load of laundry before we go. And my sister is coming over to watch M tonight, so H and I are having a date night. Dinner and the comedy club.

It's H's busy time of year... which lasted until December last year. We never know how much work is coming, though, so he takes almost everything he can. This means I'm basically running everything solo around here. I'm so exhausted. I think (hope) I'll get more into the swing of things, but holy smokes it's hard right now.
He's working at least until Wednesday, and it's supposed to be almost 100 here this weekend. I think today the girls and I are going to go for a walk around the neighborhood before it gets too hot, and after that hang out inside and enjoy the air conditioning. I'm considering rolling up the rug in the family room, putting the potty chair in there, and letting dd1 run around without a diaper -- but I honestly don't know if I have enough energy to wipe up pee all day.

Headed out on our mommy/son date soon!! I booked out movie tickets at one of those recline and dine theaters. DS is super excited!!
Paying it forward ladies! For those of you who plan to have more squishes let me know if you would like me to send these to you. I have an ovulation predictor kit (exp 8/16) a slew of Internet cheapies (expired in 2012) and 2 FRER's (exp 1/17). No charge for shipping!! Re: expiration dates. I don't put much stock in them. The Internet cheapies worked great last year for DD's pregnancy and told me I was Pg at 9 DPO. So if that doesn't bother you and you want them, they are yours. First person who wants them gets them.

Before I read, I thought the pic was of a positive test. I was like "BFP?!"

I know there was a reason I married my husband. I'm just having a really hard time remembering what that was lately.
We went out to look at strollers. We were going to hit a couple stores and if J was doing well maybe try and get something to eat.
We made it to BRU and left not speaking to each other. I don't even know what we're even mad about I just don't want to see him. We came home and I'd like to tell him to GTFO, but I wouldn't actually do that.
So we're home again. Such another exciting weekend. Yay.

LTing for commiseration silverspoon. I very nearly told MH to GTFO last Sunday. But, like ,I kinda need him to watch my kids right now. So there's that. But yeah. I feel you. It sucks and I remember going through this phase with him when we had DS. So I can assure you it gets better! I promise it does.
Hey everyone. It's been a bad few days. I decided to take at least a month off from all responsibilities and go to a treatment center far from my home. I'm very torn up, angry, and scared. I will be back for sure, but I have to do this sooner rather than later. I love y'all and thank you for being so awesome.

icequeen, I'm so sorry to hear that things have been so bad. I'm glad you are getting help. You are loved! Great big hugs to you. I cannot fathom how difficult a decision this was for you. But taking care of yourself is priority number 1 so you can continue to be the amazing mommy you are!

Thank you. I honestly don't know how I will breathe without my kids. I see some powerful sedatives in my futures.
The problem with date night less than a week after a move? I have no clue the TF my make up is, or half of my jewelry. I'm not sure what I'm going to wear, either. I hate how almost all of my clothes look. I really need to get in better shape. Hopefully I can get M napping alone, so I can start working out while she sleeps.
I'm just laughing at how there are no takers on the pee sticks.
DS's party is tomorrow and thunderstorms are predicted to start at the same time as the outdoor party. Awesome. I've contacted the city about an alternate booking. I've got a little (read: a lot) of anxiety going on over this.
icequeen, I hope you're feeling like your usual self again soon. This sounds serious. I'm sorry you're going through this.

Oh no valie! I hope you get a good back up plan figured out and hopefully you won't need to use it!
And yeah I guess we are all still too traumatized from a newborn and the 4m wakeful to want to think about another baby right? If no one wants them here I'm sure they will go fast on GKU, right?

So DD got her 4 mo shots yesterday afternoon. She woke up with a low grade fever that continued all day. It seemed to go up so I just checked rectally and its 101.1. She has been sleeping a lot but also eating and in relatively good spirits. WWJ16 do? Call the Ped? Ride it out a little longer?
I read that a fever over 100.4 in a baby 3 mo and younger after shots warrants a call so kinda iffy on this one.

I'd be tempted to ride it out until morning if she seemed to be acting ok.
In the morning, if her temp is still up then I would call.
icequeen, good for you for getting the help you need right now. I can only imagine how much you'll miss your kiddos but it sounds like you're doing the best thing. Will be thinking of you.

icequeen, that does sound serious. It sounds like you're making a hard choice that will make you a better mom in the long-term. As hard as it is now, your kids probably won't even remember that you were gone after you've been back for a few weeks.
