Well I almost wish I didn't have the tease of the gym and doing the classes I loved before DS. He lasted 20min today, and it's stressing me out, not sure if it's gonna be worth signing up.

Random q: are any of you still using a noise machine in A14 LO's room? Is that something we need to wean off of or can we use it until they're 20? Should I be turning the volume down?
This brought to you by us putting a noise machine in the baby's room 2 nights ago. OMG magic.

DS has had that baby Einstein aquarium that plays music and fades since he was like 4 mo old. Now that he is in a big bed we got one that has and LED light in the headboard and a picture... it can also fade. He has transitioned fine to that without noise.

We've been using a white noise app since A was a month old. I forgot to turn it on the the other night and she didn't notice.. But we cosleep and it's hard for me to sleep without it now.. I don't see anything wrong with keeping it on if that's what you want. I know a few adults who sleep with noise machines.

I should see if ours can fade overnight... we just have a simple SoundSpa one. Well, two of them now haha!

We still use one and I have no intention of weaning her of it ever. DH and I use one, too. I plan on getting one for the baby before he even gets here. They're like magic.
We have the dohm one or something from Amazon. It's amazing and doesn't "talk" to you like some others do. It's great.

I have a humidifier+fan that I use nightly. I have been questioning turning it off as well but it H is always so loud when I put DS down that I use it to drown him out.

This is us. We all have fans in our rooms. The girls will ask for them, though if the power goes out they will continue sleeping and have fallen asleep without them. My 4 year old even asks for a fan for quiet time though she rarely naps then any more.
ETA: there have been some studies on noise machines and the basic conculsion was you're fine as long as the noise is under 60 dB for continuous use, and you can go higher intermittently. Paranoid mom here (me) has actually downloaded a decibel meter for her phone to determine which fan levels were safe.
