How does this baby know when it's early morning? After a certain time, she doesn't want back in her bassinet. She wants to sleep with mommy in the bed. If I try and put her down, she gets fussy. After 10 minutes, I break down and pick her up. She's way too cute to turn down. H didn't come to bed until 4 am. He stayed up playing video games. At 3:45, I woke up for a feeding and asked him when he's coming to bed. He said he just wasn't getting tired enough to go to bed. Of course not! You're too busy playing games on your computer! He told me yesterday he was looking forward to spending the whole day together. He better not sleep all day and then complain about being tired.
I got up to feed LO and pump, and I think I have to poop (worst part of my day). My husband and the baby are still sleeping, so I'm hoping I can go back to bed afterward and pretend it never happened. Maybe my day will feel like it started off much better that way. Speaking of poop, in the middle of the night I heard the dog moving around, then heard him whine and head down the stairs. I should've probably let him out, but was so tired I went back to sleep. I'm pretty sure he pooped in the basement. Oops. Probably won't be telling my husband that there's a pretty good chance I could've prevented it.
I just realized little girl is going to hit her 3 week growth spurt just as I'm going back to work. ....someone hold me!
It's rough but usually only lasts a day or two. You can do it! The dictator will be right around his 6 week when I go back this week. Terrible times in the grumpy household!

My H is annoying me. He wants to go grocery shopping. Ok fine. Baby was just awake for 2 hours and is now full and sleepy. It's the perfect time to go. As in right now! But he has to finish his coffee, poop, and take a shower. Wtf! No! We are on the baby's schedule! Not to mention I haven't showered since friday!

DH got up with fussy DD after her 5am feeding. Basically stayed up with her and gave her a bottle at 7 when she was fussing again. And let me sleep until 9:30, which is coincidentally when DS got up. Looks like we all got some needed sleep!
Also got some of the pictures that my friend took - so happy with them! (Will post later when I'm not mobile)
4littlebears You should cut your husband some slack. Having a new baby in the house is so exhausting for a man! Total sarcasm there if you didn't catch it. My husband is ridiculous, too. Sleeps through everything AND he takes an afternoon nap because he's just soooo tired. I haven't slept in a month and a half, or hell, more than that if you count pregnancy, but he's the one complaining. He's been getting mad that I won't snuggle at night. I get too hot to snuggle and sleep, and he gets mad that when I have to choose, I choose sleep. He really doesn't get it.
Yeah, right!? What was I thinking?? I will choose sleep over cuddling every time. My H is a big heater, I can't stand it.
I have 4 little bears, just like my name says. 2 girls 2 boys ages 8,5,3, and my newest babe. 2 of my little bears have life threatening food allergies, feel free to ask me more about that!

Question for anyone with tearing or episiotomy. I had an episiotomy during labor (not really what I wanted but I had been pushing for 2hrs and didn't care how he got there at that point as long as he was ok) and I'm now 10 days pp. I'm wondering how long it took your stitches to heal and when were you able to actually wipe again and quit using the peri bottle? I'm tired of never really feeling clean anymore and my stitches are still really uncomfortable. I'm sure they told me a timeframe to expect at the hospital but I have no clue. I also think I may be developing a UTI. It's either that or residual pain left from pushing out my catheter with the bulb still inflated bc they forgot to take it out. Yea that's added a fun twist on recovery. No real control over my bladder for like 6 days pp.

I'm stupid excited about hitting the gym this morning. We are skipping church because baby is a little congested and we want to make sure he doesn't get sick.
Also, I had a good poop this morning. It's really the small things

I had a second degree tear and lots of stitching. It was still pretty uncomfortable and itchy (a sign of healing) around 10 days PP. I was able to wipe gently around 14 days PP, but my midwife warned that I might not feel like myself again until 6 weeks. Sorry you're so uncomfortable, I feel your pain!

I would think you could pat yourself dry, that's what I did. I only needed 1 stitch, but I've had worse tears with my other kids. Just don't wipe. Spray, then pat

Luke had poop allllllllllll up to his neck. I had no idea, I feel terrible also, he's ready for size 2 diapers. Size TWO! Where is time going you really do forget about the hardships and exhaustion the first few weeks.

I had a Dr Appt 18 days PP and my stitches still had not fully dissolved. I have another appt tomorrow to check them again and make sure everything is okay.

My DH does this same exact thing EVERY time we need to go somewhere and it frustrates the hell out of me. When we have plans and he asks when we need to leave I tell him a time an hour early and yet sometimes we are still late!

I'm 5 week PP and still feel like my stitches are here. I've started to wipe a little as opposed to patting. I had a catheter during another hospitalization and it can definitely take some time for the pain while peeing to go away. However, definitely mention it to your doctor. Checking for a UTI is easy.
Note to self: your boobs can no longer be contained by built in bra tanks. Glad I'm the only one at the gym.
The only sports bra that really worked for my monster bf Boobs is the Anita bra. Plus, the straps drop down, which let me nurse before or after If I needed.
Just put DS1 down for his nap. SO MUCH EASIER now that I'm not also dealing with a big belly. Not being pregnant > being pregnant. And also, how did he get so old already?! It's like he got years older over the last two days.

I'm alone, at home, with Liam! My H took the other boys to OMSI today, so I'm relaxing on the couch drinking a coffee in peace. Liam is down for a nap, and I'll probably pick up the house here, and nap in a little bit. It's glorious!

You can test at home for a uti, Azo makes test strips, dh picked them up for me and he called in and was able to get a prescription from the doctor without my having to go in. My pee its all messed up too, I had to be cathetered multiple times due to epidural then not having feeling to get up and go (straight Cath) and then having a hemmorage, so they put another Foley catheter in. I find if I use warm water in the Peri bottle it stimulates the sensation to go again and I can get more urine out. I do have a uti but its still painful even on antibiotics (they basically took away the chills and aches) dh just went to the store and got me azo pain pills do hopefully that will help.

How long have you been on the antibiotics? The pain should be getting better. If you have been on them for more than a couple days I would call the doc and see if you may need a different antibiotic.

3 days but I think the pain is from the catheter, I've had utis before where you feel like you're peeing razor blades and I don't have that. The reason I suspected uti was actually from feeling aches and chills since my peeing has been all weird since the catheter. Thanks though, I'll call in if nothing seems to change. :-)
DH and I got our first post-baby date night and it was great. My parents watched Aylah and they called the restaurant and had them bring us dessert. It was super sweet.
We also saw this gem in the parking lot lol:
My parents relationship has been rocky since... forever. But my mom told me last night that it's come to the point of talking to lawyers. I have really mixed feelings about the situation :/
That are your thoughts on taking a baby to a bar? There is a sports bar in town and they make the best food ever! I really want to go but would have no one to watch Little Man. Is it tacky?
