Snowed in

Anyone else preparing for another blast of snow tomorrow? Tomorrow (more than likely) will be the 3rd Monday in a row my school has been closed due to snow, our 4th snow day in three weeks.

How have you been filling your days trapped in the house?

We are getting another blast of snow as well! We don't really get snowed in here in upstate NY, there may be a delay or closing for the schools but it really depends on if the plows can keep up the main roads, not necessarily on how much snow is expected. Everyone is expected to be at work, its just the kids that may get the day off. Its really just another winter day for us keeping busy in the house or out playing in the snow!

ETA: We like to bake, color, clean, and dance around to music.

I wish I was snowed in for the upcoming snowstorm. I have to be at work @7:30 tomorrow morning and it takes me 50 minutes to get there on a regular day. I love winter other than driving on terrible roads and it taking lots of my weekday DD time away

I am so jealous of the snow. I want a snow day. There are three more days left before we have make up days. We will get rain. It started off as snow and as the week went by the forecast changed it to rain.

We're supposed to get snow from yesterday (Sat) through Tues. Dusting yesterday and it just started now as I clicked into the thread. No idea what the total amounts are supposed to be though.

Ugh! I' m dreading the make up days for you! Thankfully, the snow days around here haven't affected us because DS is in a 2 day program, and I'm no longer teaching. But when we fid ourselves unable to go out and do errands or storytime, etc., we do things like bake (DD loves to pour the choc. chips in the mixer), build and more importantly knock down towers of blocks or boxes, read, do art, and chasing each other.

redfraggle I actually work at a year-round school, so I don't get summer vacation anyway! Our snow days get made up from what would be staff development days. It still stinks because the training on those days is really important, but we'd have to be at work anyway so it's not as bad.

Yep! Another snow day tomorrow. We've been just playing and reading but I don't think it's as bad for me since I'm not a sahm. I usually bundle DS up for at last a brief excursion in the snow. He loves it but won't keep his mittens on.
