I'm dreading post partum night sweats. Why? I don't know...
Yikes! I never had those. Although I did get a terrible fever, to the point where I would shiver uncontrollably, if I waited too long between breastfeeds.
That gives me hope although for a pretty shitty trade off. The whole year of pregnancy with post partum recovery thrown in sure is a trip.
Morning ladies! Yesterday was awful, I couldn't sleep the night before at all (fitbit tracked that I got my solidest sleep between 5am and 7am!?!) took a nap, went to work and crashed when I got home! I couldn't even stay awake for Dh's nightly phone call. Today I'm feel way more rested. #pregnancyinsomniaisnojoke
Glad you got some better sleep last night cheshie6. I hate watching the clock and counting down the hours of sleep I would get if I fell asleep *right now*.

I never had them either.
+1.
I actually had a pretty easy time, recovery-wise. It's possible!
TMI alert: The worst thing was the first bowel movement. Mine was a full week after DS was born. Let's just say it was not delightful, and I will be eating alllllll the stool softeners and laxatives this time around.
Lazy morning here. We need to go buy a birthday gift for my friend's little girl, and then I have the AC guy coming this afternoon for routine cleaning/maintenance.
I also need a new wreath for the front door--I just planted some new flowers in our pots and the wreath I have up looks too spring-y now. To make my own or just buy one...decisions, decisions.
H asked me last night what my thoughts are on Irish twins. He was serious. Dude, no. Hell mothereffing no.
This seems so difficult but what do I know. My cousins are Irish twins, so they're the same ago for almost two months. My mom had six of us kids in roughly 8 years, THAT I also do not get. She was literally pregnant for like 8 years straight. We are: 37, 36, going on 35, 33, 32, and 30. My vagina hurts. (And she had us all naturally with no epi - clearly she's a warrior but I don't take after her).

Whoa! Your mom is a warrior. Irish twins are a huge thing regionally where we are from and not unusual at all to see. I was just a bit shocked because I've felt good for oh idk a week? Maybe two? The thought of caring for a newborn while going through 1T is just too much for me to fathom. Plus you have to factor in all the stars aligning for me to actually get pregnant that quickly. I guess I should be happy that he's excited to be a dad?
Gosh I'm being a PW and I do apologize. Mobile is hard for saying/tagging everything at once.
I have an OB appt in a half hour. Just a monthly and I know he'll be doing a cervical length check - I am so optimistic, I hope I don't walk out of there going "hrrrmmmppphhh". I also wonder if he will consider this the A/S? I'm looking forward to confirmation of Baby As sex too! Let's hope she/he cooperates!

I have a wreath on my front door year round. The summer one is up right now. My H thinks it's silly and should only be for holidays. But I like the color it brings.

danib That's adorable DS was excited to hear the heartbeat :-)
LizInFL My vote is make your own and then AW to all of us so we can see how awesomely crafty you are!
You are too kind! I am crafty in many ways but I don't know if my talents extend to starting a wreath from scratch. I usually just buy a decent ready-made one and then 'doctor' it with extra flowers or ribbon as needed; I've actually never made one before and am slightly intimated!
cookswithwine9 I like having a wreath up year-round, too. Our past houses have always been rentals since we move so frequently, so a wreath was a way to personalize things a bit. So now I'm in the habit! DH probably thinks I'm nuts, I have a special storage tote I keep them in, haha.
Broke out my white summer purse (completely forgot to last year) and have my new sandals on. I'm feeling quite summery while sitting in my chilly office.
danib glad appt went well, kleigh hope you have a good one too!
sophiegrace that's amazing! And is your tummy feeling better too? Definitely makes the headache of cutting something out of your diet easier when there are drastic improvements!

No exaggeration, but it's completely better. I haven't had a stomachache since I just completely stopped it all. I'm sleeping better, I have more energy, not even the hint of a headache, and I'm just generally in a better mood. I realize a good deal of this is also 2T kicking in, but I'm keeping my FX that it's also the food I'm eating and the months ahead are a bit easier. If it wasn't such a big change this would be nearly impossible. I love carbs more than I love most things.
danib, what do you do before DH gets home? After he leaves? I find I have a tendency to go cleaning crazy right after he leaves and right before he gets home. I get kind of crafty in the living room when he's gone so I have to put all my yarn and stuff away.
Also a quick question: Will they do an A/S if we don't want to know the sex?
Yes. It's actually a huge misconception that the AS is the 'sex scan'. It is really done to check for fetal abnormalities in every other part of the body so that if there is a problem early intervention or referral to a specialist can be made. Finding out the sex is just a bonus because they're all up in there getting measurements. 18-20 weeks is the average timeframe for this because at this point the vital body parts are formed and have a specific measurement and/or function they should be performing.
