We had an awful night last night with the baby up crying so I took him to the doctor this morning. They said it was likely roseola and not hand, foot, and mouth so I guess that's good. But he's still so cranky and not acting like himself at all.
Last night I made the Hawaiian crockpot chicken recommended by penguin129 and it was a hit!
This weekend is DD's dance recital and she is very, very excited. But we still have to get through an 8am rehearsal tomorrow across town.
I got my hair done today and it felt amazing (getting my hair washed by someone else lol). Tomorrow is the meet the baby party my mil is throwing for us and I'm super nervous. DS is 5 weeks old and we haven't really had him out and about for more than an hour or so at a time so I don't know how he will handle it. I also haven't nursed in public yet...

Sorry for the awful night! Hope he's feel better soon

Sorry for the bad night @ashicuste. I'm glad you liked the recipe.
Good luck tomorrow @terrain!
I had my cleaning today. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I bought a new battery tooth brush with a spin head so I hope that helps. I got back the 30th for more work.

We got one of those fancy brushes a year or so ago. So far neither of us ah e had cavities although I guess that doesn't prove anything. We really like the brush thighs, totally worth it!
As of last night, ILs were coming this weekend. As of tonight, they aren't. It stinks they now won't be able to make it any time soon, so probably August sometime will be the next time we see them, but our house was/is so not ready for company, not even family, so it is good we have the weekend to get things back in order. I got the living room looking pretty good today at least, so dishes and putting some stuff away that has piled up in the hall, then just getting a few projects in order will make the house presentable again. Don't get me started on our master bedroom though. Yikes. It is constantly one step forward, two steps back in there lately.
I am excited to finish up one project in particular that will really help organize the living room since we bought a big whiteboard, a calendar, etc. The chairs have been serving as easels for over a month (granted we were gone for a week of it). Lol.
For the moment though, I am thinking of seeing if MH is up for a movie before bed now that the ball of energy - I mean LO - is now asleep.

Well, the little one (21 months) screamed for 3 hours in the middle of the night so we let him have the i-pad, which allowed us to rest but I'm pretty sure he didn't sleep. Today he has thick snot pouring from his nose. We're supposed to host a big playdate on Monday with at least two sibling newborn babies...probably will not cancel unless this seems worse but may warn them... Trying to decide if we should have the playdate with baby pools or dry...water seems so much more messy. Thinking of going to a Mad Hatter Tea Party at our university's children's garden...should the kids dress up? Planning to go camping at a national park in a couple weeks and I'm getting nervous...
I am getting pretty close to finishing the learning center for LO. I already got "Oooh! That's really cool. Thank you, Mommy!" from him, which made my day. Wait until he wakes up to see the parts I did after he went to bed. Can't wait to see the finished product. Phase 1 (construction) should be finished tomorrow. Not sure when I'll get all of Phase 2 (attachments for back and one side) done, but the main components will be ready to use once Phase 1 is done.

We have an 80th birthday party this weekend so of course I'm up finishing the food I'm making and just need to finish up my gifts. I even told myself a week ago I would have it all done early. Oh well luckily it's all mostly easy.
