Any children's books that you really love and can't wait to share? Or books you think are necessary? I'm going to check out "Amazing You" and "Your Body Belongs to You" because these aren't topics I discussed with my parents but things I worry about not discussing with my kids.
Old-time favorites include: Love You Forever The Rough Faced Girl Legend of the Blue Bonnet Strega Nona Borregita I'm in Charge of Celebrations Miss Eva and the Red Balloon Can't You Sleep Little Bear? Roxaboxen
There are tons more, but those are some at the top of my list.

My favorite book that I can't wait to share is The Sign of the Seahorse I can't wait to read it to her. I have to find it. The pictures are pretty so I could maybe do it now. I am really excited for chapter books though. I can remember reading Charlotte's Web with my dad. And obs I can't wait to share Harry Potter.
My first use to love "how do dinosaurs say goodnight?" I believe I might still have it stored away at my moms. I have to look for it. H just ordered some Spanish series books from Amazon that my SIL recommend

Since The Hobbit was originally written as a children's book, that counts, right?
Most of the musts on my list would be for when they're older. I was a book nerd as a kid and just read every book that I could get my hands on. He prefers the Imagination Library ones to the ones I buy :/
jewel441 We got DS The Beedle and the Bard last year. He doesnt get it yet, but I'm excited for when he does get there

cinnamonsmiles: totally counts. MH skipped straight to LOTR. We actually just finished a family reading of The Fellowship last night and felt so accomplished, lol.
Tolkien wrote other books for his kids besides the Hobbit, too. There's Letters to Father Christmas and Roverandom.
Would be interested in what other chapter books you loved!
mom2boxers, you reminded me of Mouse Paint! Someone gave us Wherever You Are, and it was a really sweet one.

There is a ton of "how do dinosaurs..." books. There are all super cute. We read How Do Dinosaurs Stay Safe? all the time. There's also ones about colors, numbers, going to school, being nice, etc. Right now we read The Tree House that Jack Built, Little Blue Truck, and Pinkalicious with DS all the time, along with the dinosaurs ones. DD usually listens in. When they are bigger I want to share my joy for the Little House on the Prairie series. It was always my favorite. And Harry Potter of course.

I HATE this book. The kid is such an obnoxious little shit. I want to smack the tree and tell him to smarten up and cut the boy off. Sorry I have lots of feelz about this book.

I haven't been reading that much to K because every time I do I turn into a blubbering mess. Last night I read Guess How Much I Love You and broke down at the last page. It's pretty pathetic.

Bookmarked! I seriously read just about anything my library had to offer. I love The Boxcar Children, The Chronicles of Narnia, Big Red/White Fang, Smoky the Cowhorse (really anything to do with animals), The Hardy Boys, The Bobbsey Twins...really I could go on forever

The books I look forward to sharing with my kiddos are (in no particular order):
Are You My Mother? Where the Wild Things Are The Berenstain Bears and the Spooky Old Tree Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day Goosebumps And I would LOVE to find the complete Babysitters Club series for when Riley gets older! Anyone remember those?
And of course... like any good parent... I can't wait to share Harry Potter!
