Heading home from ME today. Might stick around for a little since there is a festival here today, but my legs are killing me from all the walking we've done! It's been eye opening as the first vacation with DS.
While it's been tough, overall he was very good and we had some fun. I wish we had done this sooner though so we could have gotten him a little more used to staying in a hotel before #2 gets here. I'm scared for a vacation with 2 of them.
I think we will try and get the grandparents to come along next time.

I need to run errands, do laundry, clean up all the kitchen mess from DS's party yesterday, and whatever cleaning/organization I can do after that (probably not much haha). I really want to make bread with the zucchini I got in my CSA this week but it's so hot I'm not wild about turning on the oven. Zucchini bread, though....
Not much going on. I've been up since 6 and I'm tired. I have a banana bread in the oven and then going grocery shopping. Might see a friend later today and I see a nap in my future.
Doing some homework today and trying to get someone to come help DH get the dresser for the nursery upstairs. We put together the crib and nightstand yesterday.
We are also taking my nephew out for dinner. We set aside from money for him years ago and it accumulated to about $2,500. We have been waiting for him to graduate high school to give it to him and he graduated a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully he appreciates it and uses it wisely.

So far I've been playing with DD while we let my H sleep in. Probably just grocery shopping and cleaning today. Potty training is going great though, so that's exciting!
Getting the bed out of the nursery and taking DS to swim lessons. I have a wicked sinus headache that I pray goes away. Need to do a grocery store run badly too.
Good morning everyone! Not too many plans today just heading to a kids bday party in a bit and then hanging out. I'm exhausted...was up about a million times to pee last night!
Good morning! Cooking and going to try to finish making baby wipes today.
What recipe do you use for baby wipes? When DD was born made wipes with paper towels, water, Dr. Bronners (I think that's the brand) soap, witch hazel, vitamin e and a little oil. I loved them but got too lazy to keep making then.

We cloth diaper so I'm actually making permanent ones, sewing together flannel and terry cloth. I was going to make wipe solution originally, but never found time. We just use water on them for DD and have never had an issue! Those sound really nice though!
I like the idea of cloth diapering, but I don't think I'd have the stomach for it. For the wipes I got the recipe from wellnessmama.com and really liked them. And, DD never had a diaper rash when I used them. Although, all she's ever had was mild irritation a few times recently and never a full on rash (we currently use the amazon sensitive ones).
I'm mad at myself because I decided I wasn't going to buy anymore Oreos since I've been eating roughly a family pack per week by myself for longer than I'd like to admit. Well, now I'm at the time of evening where the craving is hitting and I don't have ANY!!! I think I might be having a bowl of Reese's puffs cereal...

We've been using plain water (wet them each change from the bathroom tap or a water bottle) for DD since she was born, 17 months now, and it works perfect!
I have cloth diapers...but rarely used them with DD. I'm trying to psych myself up to try again.
For me it was more the extra laundry aspect plus I don't really like the huge butt they gave her - I had to size up a lot and I wanted her to wear her teeny cute baby clothes! All valid reasons for not using them, right?

Your reasons are the exact same as mine for why we gave up. The idea is great and it's not THAT hard, but I'm lazy and they're bulky. I've gotten rid of my stash completely. Btdt, I'm all set this time around!

After a long weekend the nursery-to-be has been completely cleaned out and MH got most of the electrical work done (added an overhead light in the room and a light in the closet).
My leg handled the whole weekend of work around the house better than it does a day at work, but now I'm confident to say the problem was/is definitely him pressing a vein while I'm in my sitting position at work.
Whatever position he's in (seems like he's flipped or rolled over in the past week) I'm not particularly enjoying because it has made movement more difficult to feel. I'm still feeling him move, but not the super reassuring hard kicks and punches I had been feeling. The kicks/punches are now down and towards my back as opposed to clearly hitting my stomach. Once in a while I get a hard bump that is clearly his head or butt. I liked the moved my stomach obvious kicks much more!
