This is going to be an interesting week H and DS are going camping tomorrow through Friday. DD is going to my sisters T/W/Th. I'm sure she will do fine. My irrational fears are starting up about this camping trip and I have some anxiety over it. I know exactly where they will be but there is no cell service. It is fairly remote but people are out there fairly regularly. I trust H completely and he is ex military so he has some skillz. My fear is if something happened to him and my 5 yr old has to figure shit out on his own. I cannot get this stupid ass scenario out of my brain. I've asked H to try to get enough service to just check in with me via text once a day. It's not a guarantee. This week will suck until they are home safe on Friday. I am excited for DS though. He has been looking forward to this and is SO excited!!
On a completely different note. DD just woke up enough to poop and promptly fell back asleep. Ugh.
Just finished reading the weekend thread - we had a pretty good weekend - TWO crab feasts! One was at a one year-old's birthday party and another was on a triple date at a restaurant with friends. DH and I could not remember the last time that we had been out to eat together without kids - maybe it's been since March??
We are excited because we are going to do an escape room with these friends in September. Have any of you ever done an escape room? What is it like?

I haven't, but a colleague has and told us a lot about them. She said they were really fun - you go into the room and get your first clue, and then you're on your own (I think you have an hour max and then you "lose" and they let you out?). She said clues were hidden all over the place and they were taking everything apart to look for them. She also said it was a little stressful with everyone trying to give their input, but overall she loved it.

DH is going to have to work quite a bit of OT this week because he promised his boss he'd have a project done on Friday and people keep coming or calling and interrupting him, so he isn't as far as he needs to be. Since he's only been there a month, though, he can't really afford to just send everybody away.
There's not much going on with me. I'm just waiting around for a big translation project to come. The timeframe to do it was supposed to be June 1- Aug 31. I was hoping to get most of it done in June because I'll be really busy with another project in July/Aug. But the first one hasn't arrived yet... So I'm just twiddling my thumbs waiting.
Also, DD3 slept in until 6am this morning!! That sounds silly, but compared to 5:15 like the last 3-4 weeks, 6am is a godsend! Especially since I took forever to fall asleep last night.

So my H is from Bethesda and is borderline obsessed with finding a place we can get proper Maryland style crabs around our new house. As soon as we find where the best ones are we'll be hosting a crab feast!
Started my new job today! Just general orientation this week then I start department orientation next week. I'm pumping in an actual lactation room with a lock vs. the staff locker room bench that was my previous pumping spot! I have good feelings about this place

The crib was a fail last night. She woke up after 30 minutes then again 2 hours longer then every 20-30 minutes for the next few hours. Put her in bed with me. She woke up 2 hours later to eat then didn't even make it 5 minutes in the crib. H brought DD1 to me bed at 4 and they both were restless till DD1 woke up at 630 with her normal gas screaming. It's going to be a long day.

We are still unswaddled at night and it's going pretty well. As well as he ever sleeps anyway. The main difference is the mornings that he wakes up on his own he just sort of lays there and babbles unlike before when his first mission was to fight his way out of the swaddle.
I had a good weekend with munchkin. I took him outside and he sat in his little frog seat in the shade and just looked around while I sat in my chair and read. He seemed to enjoy watching Lucy run around the yard and squeak her toys.
When H got home Sunday night I pretty much handed him the baby, poured a glass of wine and went into the bedroom to watch New Girl.
H woke me up to tell me that both of y parents were trying to get ahold of me. Turns out my grandmother had a heart attack. The rushed her to the local hospital, found 2 major blockages, transferred her to a bigger hospital 3 hours away, put shunts in and apparently she's doing ok. My dad thinks they're sending her back to the local hospital today.
I knew something was going down because both parents were calling/texting me. That only happens when something bad happens to family back home

Lollipop, I hope your grandma starts feeling better soon!! For me it's when the phone starts ringing after 9pm or before 1pm and I see on caller ID that it's my mom. She knows not to call after 9pm my time unless it's important, and 1pm is 6am her time, so if it's before then, it's not good.

That's how my mom knows something is up. If someone calls after about 7 or 8 our time, or before 9 or so in the morning. Also, if the caller ID says certain people, she panics because they only call if there's a problem.

We finally made it home from the beach house. Fun weekend, but holy smokes am I tired. I'm so excited for everyone to be back in their normal beds tonight.
DD2 is rolling all over the place. Now I have to be more careful about where I set her down. DD1 is on a sherbert with chocolate sprinkles kick. I don't blame her. Quite tasty.
My weekend was so great.... Then Monday happened at 3am. I've had at least one screaming baby since ...3... Freaking... A.M. I'm so tired. I'm in a hot bath now while hubby deals with them.
Me:24 DH:27 Married: 12/15/12 BFP May 2014 from IUI #2 after 8 months TTC B/G/G triplets born on 10/22/2015 at 25w5d After a total of 140 days in the NICU all three of my miracles came home!
I got my first pair of Mom jeans today. They're high-waisted, dark-wash, skinny jeans from Gap and they're awesome. I got two pairs of shorts too. Finally I have clothes that fit again!!
14joa31 I've done a couple of escape rooms and they were a lot of fun with a group. They lock you in and you have an hour to solve the clues and figure out code to get out (otherwise they let you out after an hour, but you "lose").
Lollipop I'm glad your grandmother is doing ok after her stents but I'm sure that must be so frightening. I hope she continues to improve.
We had a good weekend with little E. We threw my sister a 30th birthday party at our house which was a big hit, and Sunday we just hung out with our girl. Got to soak up every moment I'm not at work.
Thank you for all of the prayers and well wishes. My Grammie is doing ok. She's still in the hospital, but they moved her to the local one. So at least now she's with doctors and nurses she's familiar with (small town), and my Grampie and aunt and cousins can visit when she's up to it. Unfortunately we (my parents, sister and I) won't be able to visit, but we'll probably call a lot until she's better. This is not her fist heart problem. She's had two triple bypasses, one in 95, and one about 5 years ago.
