Hey mamas! I know a lot of us are hanging out other places, but I had a moment yesterday of realizing how close our babies are to TWO!!!! It made me think of our board. I have only been here since the babies were born, but we have come a long way ladies!
So even if you aren't around much anymore.....take a moment and update on how everything is going!

I like this idea! I really do miss this board being active. I don't have a Facebook or anything, so this is board is basically the only way I interact with friends online.
Anyway, I've been doing ok. Just taking it easy this summer. We'll probably take on some house projects. I also hope we can make it out to a lake or something just to get away for a while. As I mentioned in another post, school is out for the summer and I have 3 kiddos at home all day now. We just bought a pool, so hopefully that'll help keep things fun and busy. I honestly think they do have more fun than I think. I just put too much pressure on myself. I just need to remember simple goes a long way. lately my depression and anxiety have ramped up. I'm thinking I may have to see a dr. and get on some meds. The ironic thing is that I freak out about going to the doctors, so that will be just dandy. I know it doesn't help that my mom has been sick, which intensifies my anxiety. I wish I could be as brave, resilient, and strong as her. In general though, life has been good, and I just need to remember to count my blessings. Life really can be beautiful if you take the time to enjoy and live it.
KOKO is pretty much our situation. DH and I aren't seeing eye to eye on our (wannabe) living situation. I'm due in 9 days so it's adding more stress. Nora just keeps getting more and more fun to watch and interact with.

I was off the site for about 3 months because I'm wiped.
DS is doing well and words are tumbling out of him. LO2 is coming in 35 days! I have a million things to do, starting with transitioning DS from sleeping in our bed to his new toddler bed in his own room.
We are hanging in there. I go back to work in 8 weeks. I got a promotion and even though I will still only be part time I am going to be a part time dean as well as teach a couple classes. DS I am convinced has hit the terrible twos early. He is in all the things all the time. DD is growing like a weed. Lots of struggles with intolerance to many things through BM, so I am very nervous about daycare and solids. But we aren't quite there yet. On the 23rd we are flying north w both kids to do two weeks in ME and Canada. Hold me....pass me drinks. Oh...and this go around I am having more success dropping baby weight so I am very happy about that!
We are doing okay. DS has a speech delay, which is a bummer. He can express himself through signs and a few words, but just isn't picking up talking, so the speech therapist will be here on Wednesday. We are just starting working with birth to 3. I wish I had called a little sooner, but oh well. I am glad she is coming soon. It has been frustrating lately, but for the most part he is a happy kid, and is crazy physical and understands everything we say, so I don't worry about that stuff at least.
We are going to be TTC in September, so I have been coming off my antidepressant, which isn't going wonderfully, but something that I want to do. I am really looking forward to being pregnant again, but worried about how it's going to be with all the stuff going on with my mom being terminally ill. Life is both really good and really bad at our house. :/
We have gotten really involved with a playgroup we started with some friends we met through breastfeeding support group, so it has been nice to make IRL friends with some ladies with kids DS's age. Of course, as with most groups, we have had a little drama lately, but things seem to be looking up.
I'm ticking along, feeling fine with this pregnancy (nearly 10 weeks) and got my scan date in the post (woo) but need to change it to fit in with work (boo mid day work day not good). I'm just really ready to see this baby already.
Max is a little star, if a little monkey at time. He's just so much fun and really snuggly with and says mummy now . He's super out going and is obsessed with transport. We got him a toy tram for his birthday and can't wait to see what he makes of it.
Life has been crazy here. DD is good. She's pretty happy, but rather dramatic. She talks a lot and seems more and more like a little girl and less like a baby.
I'm doing well. We are building a house which will be done mid Oct. We need to sell our current house, and will list in it in July sometime. I also am having a cardiac ablation done in July for frequent PVCs that are considered to be a significant burden. So we are probably going to do DD's party a little earlier as the only time they had available for the ablation is around her birthday.

Things are going great here. M is very energetic and quite a character, he is talking up a storm these days, but also starting to show some of the 2 y.o. attitude. He has figured out that I am the parent that will get snacks, drinks, books etc on demand so I'm trying to be better about setting boundaries and telling him no sometimes.
I had my first appointment for baby 2 today and I'm right on track at 8w0d. Due date is January 23. M will be about 2.5 when new baby arrives and I think that spacing will be nice.
Our courthouse wedding is this Friday, everything is all set. I'm thrilled to be marrying my wonderful partner.
Had a brunch with some of the ladies from my babywearing group yesterday and several of them are seriously considering getting divorced (and for valid reasons). It was a pretty sobering discussion. I'm so glad my ex and I didn't have kids when we split. I left feeling very very thankful for the life I have now. It isn't perfect, but it makes me happy.

I'm doing well! I really can't believe DD is about to be 2 either. She's a wild thing and starting to talk in little sentences. She refers to herself in the third person and I find it adorable. We love her to death even when she's throwing tantrums.
DS is almost a week and a half. I had a very short baby blues period and since have been feeling really great. I hope it continues. DS eats, sleeps, and poops great with just a little reflux issue that we are using Zantac and chiropractic to sort out. Hoping we don't have to continue the Zantac now that my supply is settling down and we've figured out what breastfeeding position works best.
DD loves her little brother and has been a good big sister. She has thrown more tantrums, especially when H and I get caught up with DS. But overall she's done really well with the adjustment. She's loved getting to see all of our family that has come to visit. We have and pretty nice summer lined up with some family functions and then I will be back at work at the beginning of August.

We've been busy prepping for number 2! I'm almost 29 weeks and can't believe I'll have 2 kids shortly!!! Im scared to think about it!! C is doing well. Chatting up a storm. She's started talking to us like we're babies when she's offering us something, which is quite funny: "mama want some cereal, too???" And she always has an opinion. Her most common phrase lately has been: "dadda, don't do that! Ok??" I'm a little worried about how she'll deal with a sibling, but we'll get through it. She's obsessed with little babies, so I'm hoping that helps! We're starting the transition to a new daycare in July. Also hoping that goes well!!!

So glad we did this!
DD is so fun to enjoy. She knows all of her letters except R and can count to ten (sans seven). She is into everything! We are TTC this summer and I pray I am able to get pregnant now that I am 40. I've lost 85 pounds since the last pregnancy, so I'm felling pretty good. We just moved into our new house ten days ago, and all is good. We did her room exactly the same.
We are doing okay. DS has a speech delay, which is a bummer. He can express himself through signs and a few words, but just isn't picking up talking, so the speech therapist will be here on Wednesday. We are just starting working with birth to 3. Glad to hear from all of you.
How did you determine that your DS had a speech delay? I'm curious because LO isn't talking as much as DS1 was at this point, but I know I can't always compare. He met his word requirement at his 18 month appt, and has learned more since then... But I'm still curious if there's another guideline to go off of that I'm not aware of.
Overall we're doing well here. Life with 2 is crazy! And we're moving on Saturday so that's added in a whole new level! A is doing really well with the baby. He's very concerned whenever Cam cries. It's really cute. His vocabulary is expanding a ton but he isn't putting multiple words together yet. We're working on it but his speech has been a little slow so I'm trying not to stress. He'll get there. His favorite activity right now is pointing to things and either telling me what they are or having me tell him what it is. He's also dealing with all the big toddler feelings without knowing how to express them. He's really fun though! Every day is a new adventure! Cam is doing well but much more fussy that A was. He's also a stage 4 clinger to me lol! He doesn't like anyone else holding him and he doesn't like to be put down. He's gradually getting better but I'm so ready to be able to use the bathroom alone without a screaming kid in the background! I can't believe he'll be 6 weeks on Wednesday. Time flies sooo fast! I'm doing pretty well. DH and I are both out of school for the summer so it's nice that we're all home. I was really struggling with both kids until 6:30 every night when DH was still in school. He does so much with A it leaves me way less stressed and able to care for the baby!
We're doing great! DD is 7 weeks old. For me, the second baby is easier because I knew what to expect and she is not as high needs. She sleeps pretty well too. DS is seriously so much fun right now. I love spending this time with him too. He isn't super advanced with speech but he learns new words every day. I love that he says "hi mama, hi dada".He goes to daycare twice a week. My husband just got out of school for the summer so we're home together until late July.

DD2 is doing well. She's still definitely more intense than her big sister and shows it with both intense happiness (running and squealing to anything she enjoys, or yelling what she wants to do/eat over and over again) and intense anger (flinging self to floor throwing temper tantrums) or sadness (wailing in a voice to break your heart). She's progressing to short sentences, does more for herself every day, and wants to figure out how to jump terribly badly.
I'm 31 weeks with DD3. Dealing with my usual pregnancy issues (m/s that needs medication, an irritable uterus) plus GD this time. Definitely feeling done. However DH is getting a nerve removed from his foot next week and that is a minimum six week recovery, so we need DD3 to stay put until my RCS date.

He is not meeting his word requirements. His words are: Hi, All Done, Cheese, Teeth(new in the last month), Juice(new in the last week or so), and various animal noises and signs. His pronunciation is not good with any of the words besides Hi.
His doctor wasn't going to have him assessed until age 2, but told me to go ahead and call Birth to 3 before then if I felt like he still wasn't progressing. We gave him till 21 months, and then I called. My county sent an assessment for DH and I to do with him, and then a lady came and went over it with me. He fell behind in speech by a couple marks on the scale. She did not take his signing into consideration for the assessment, but that was fine with me. This all happened a couple weeks ago, and now tomorrow the original lady is coming back with a speech therapist to teach me some techniques and to assess him a little more. It is all through my county's birth to 3 program.

DD1 is doing great! I am astounded by all she is learning every day. She knows most of her letter and number flashcards and has a few books memorized that she loves to sit and "read" to herself. Her favorite animal is a frog, which is unfortunate because she has some trouble pronouncing Gs so it comes out "fuck". She loves to swim and is a total fish in the water - she can dive for rings and is absolutely fearless. I can't believe it is time to start planning a 2nd birthday!!
DD2 is a super chill baby. I honestly think both the girls in this current stage are 1000 times easier than DD1 was alone as an infant. If LuLaRoe wasn't kicking my ass I would be getting some really decent sleep.
Biggest challenge right now is our marriage but we are working on it.
I check in here about once a week or so. Happy to see all these updates!
We're doing pretty good over here. MH's last day at his "old" job is today and next week he starts a new job in the field he wants to be in. We don't have any big summer plans, but now that we can do stuff as a family on the weekends -for the first time in our marriage!- I'm hoping to spend some time doing cheap or free fun things all together. We have a trip to Disneyland planned for this fall, and will probably start TTC around then.
J is busy and funny and snuggly. She's picking up more words every day it seems. She's totally weaned as of the beginning of this month, and that went better than I could have hoped. MH wants to seriously try potty training soon (i.e., he wants me to try PT her soon.) She loves seeing other kids, and she is obsessed with the swings at the playground. She's definitely not a baby anymore, and I love and hate that at the same time.
So glad to see this! We are all doing well, but dealing with some pretty stressful work situations. Which means TTC isn't going very well. Little A is growing like a bad weed, and getting more words all the time. We just had a follow up for his tubes this morning, and they look great. It's going to be a crazy busy summer, but hopefully I can take a couple of days off around the 4th, and we can do something fun as a family. Take care ladies!
We are doing well. DD is spirited and full of energy all the time. She has some words, but is not really stringing them together yet. She started gymnastics, which is a ton of fun.
DS will be 7 weeks old tomorrow. It is going so, so fast. He is growing really fast, and getting so big.
I am OK, sad maternity leave is almost over. Tired, but loving 2 kids. I need to work out so badly, but DS hates being put down.
