Hey everyone! Thanks for the tags earlier, I've been slowly catching up on things but my hands are both busy during nursing so I don't have as much time to browse on the phone as I normally would!
I had a scheduled induction this Sunday at 38 weeks, checked in at 8am, started a low dose of pitocin and had my water broken around 11am. I got the epidural this time as it's highly recommended with twins. It's crazy how it takes so much of the pain away! Took most of the day to get to 10cm (they thought I'd go much faster since my previous labors were really quick, but my uterus was so distended from the twins). Best part though is once I was ready to push, baby A (Theodore) came out in 3 pushes and baby B (Elodie) in 2. I had a small 1st degree tear.
Theodore was born at 7:41pm weighing 7lbs 3oz and Elodie followed soon after at 7:46pm weighing 6lbs 13oz. So relived that everything went well and I had such big healthy babies!
How are your big kids doing? Handling the transition ok?
They are doing well! Their favorite thing to do is hold the babies. I think it'll be easier once some of the novelty has worn off but for now just grateful that they are so welcoming (and for being able to send them school all day.. Otherwise I would be one tired mama!)
