I have a nursing moms group this morning and then an appointment with a seamstress. I am going to see if she can use fabric from my wedding dress to make DD a baptism gown! Other than that just waiting for H and DS to get home. I can't wait to hear about their trip!

Grr... the translation project STILL hasn't come. I'm so frustrated. The job was supposed to be from 1 June to 31 Aug with the freedom to do the work when I wanted. I had planned to get it all done in June. But it's now going to be at least June 21 before I even SEE the documents. Sigh.
DD3 has been in an awful mood yesterday and today. She drank a ton on Tuesday or Wed (don't remember now), and she's now cranky for no good reason. I'm thinking maybe a growth spurt? Whatever it is, it had better end soon!
I'm really not used to working 5 days/week so I'm exhausted. Even though DH is going golfing tomorrow and IL's are coming over on Sunday I'm pumped that it's Friday!!

How do you like the new job so far? Or are you still doing orientation/training stuff?
crimsonandclover , since they are giving it to you so late, can't you get more time to complete? That is so frustrating!!!
I'm sure they would, but I should only need a month (probably more like 2.5 weeks) to do this job and I have until the end of August. So it *should* be enough time. The problem is that I planned another huge job for July and August assuming that I would have this first one done by then. While I'm sure they would give me an extension, I would feel bad asking for one when it is a direct result of my planning that I might have trouble getting it done by the original deadline. It'll all be fine, and I think once I actually have the file I'll be able to relax and just work. I'm getting the other big job a week from Monday, so I've just got to wait until then. I think what bothers me most is the downtime I have now when I know I'll be extremely busy very soon. Yesterday I decided to do meal prep so I don't have to worry about cooking in July. I'll probably do more tomorrow. Time to pull up our freezer meal thread again
I jinxed it. After saying that M had STTN twice in a row, she's back to multiple wake ups. At least she's still napping OK. She was up early today, and I'mgoing to put her down for a nap as soon as she finishes her bottle. And then iI'm going to snooze on the couch for awhile
Almost forgot. I got my first ppd period yesterday. I suppose I should be happy it took almost 5 months? Is everyone else's back?
Still waiting for it here. With dd1 it took 8 months and she started sttn around 6mo. Dd2 it was around the same and she never sttn so I considered it kind of evil. that said neither was regular. I think I had a period three times between each child. That said Dh and I dtd last night and I reminded him how that worked out last year. We need to get some condoms.

J is going to grandma's for the night.
I'm going to try and convince H to go somewhere, anywhere, without making it SEEM like I'm trying to get him out of the house. Not overnight, but just like to go hang out with his friend and do whatever car stuff they do that used to take until 1-2am.
I'm dying to veg out in front of some Netflix with wine and maybe a frozen pizza ALONE. All by lonesome. NO ONE else around except the cat and the dog and they can stay/

Still doing hospital/nursing department orientation. On my unit a little next week then I start unit orientation the following week. It seems like a great place to work so far!
I ran into my new manager and she gave me a huge hug and said "I'm so happy you're here" it gave me warm fuzzies

My period didn't return till 11 months with DD1, but I had a few spots at 9 months PP. We tried the crib Sunday night and it was a fail. Monday night we put her in her old bed (due to she sounding stuffed up) and that night was even worse. Tuesday and Wednesday night we started in the old bed and by 3-4 am she wasn't happy in the old bed or my bed so into the crib she went for some CIO. Only 10 minutes so not bad at all. And she slept till 730/8 both days. Now to get DD1 to not be scared of everything and to stay in her room and I'll be set.

With dd1 mine came back like clockwork at 8 weeks pp, even though she nursed every two hours and never slept through the night until she was like 14 months old. :/
This time it came back right around the same time, but has been pretty irregular so far. I'm supposed to start in 3 days, and dd2 is acting a little more fussy, so hopefully it's back on schedule now.

Last night after the girls were in bed, H and I sorted through all the toys and got about 80% of them out of circulation. A quarter of them are going to Goodwill, and the rest we divvied up into plastic tote bins. We are keeping the bins in the basement and pulling them up one at a time to play with as an indoor play activity. Most of the toys never got touched anyway, so I think it will end up more fun and much less cluttered!

We need to do this soo bad but neither of us have the energy to do it.

We got a random burst of motivation and just rolled with it, probably thanks to both girls sleeping in until 8 yesterday. We also drank some beers and watched tv while we were sorting everything, so it actually ended up being a fun hang out time for us.

I know right? I would much rather do my 3 12hr shifts and have a few days off than stretching them out into these 5 8hr days BS
