My baby is broken. Sunday she woke up at 4:45 am. 4 freaking 4:45. She took a couple of naps, but then instead of going down at her usual 7pm, she fell asleep at 9:45 pm. And did she sleep longer for it this morning? Nope. 5:24am and she was awake and cooing away. Someone help.

It's 3am here. DD was nursing in bed about 2:30 when I heard her pooping. So I've changed her and now she is watching her tranquil turtle. Please sleep baby!
5am here. Dh took her and I guess was up for the day. I woke up hearing the big girls playing and thought Dh was long gone. Nope it was 620 and he was making breakfast and coffee. I have only barely tasted my first cup of coffee, but I know it's a two coffee day. On another note, my house is a mess and dds start school again this week so I'm feeling overwhelm again especially knowing the weather is nice and we will be outside a lot more. I guess my gardens will look good??

I am exhausted. We did a combined birthday party this weekend for all cousins on my side of the family. All 11 kids have a birthday between April and end of July.
Party was at my house because we have a pool. Though my sisters helped out with cleaning up, our house is a disaster. The kids all had a blast though so it was totally worth it. I will definitely be half-assing work today.
dizzycooks - isn't every day a two coffee day?? I complained to my coworker that DnD seemed to be putting way more ice in my iced coffee because I wasn't waking up yet. And then it happened for several days in a row. My coworker finally said "I don't think it's the iced coffee." I'm like "Yeah, it's because now I have two kids!"
Sorry for any incoherence, just now starting my second cup!

Good monring J16!
Munchkin only had a couple of wake ups last night. I think 3 that I can remember so overall pretty good. He even slept until I was ready to get him up at 6:30.
He's at daycare today. I like daycare days. It means I can come home and I don't feel like I have to fit in tummy time and baby "enrichment" so to speak. It's hard on the weekdays because there's very little time in the evening before he gets fussy and just wants to sleep. Of course, just because he wants to sleep doesn't mean he will sleep. It just means your time for accomplishing anything has come to a close.

This is how we hang out outside.
He sits in his little seat and watches Lucy run around and squeak her toys. We do have a swingset with a baby swing, but for the most part he is content to watch the world go by.

I just reread my post and thought "wow, way to use a big run on sentence!" I promise I do know how to punctuate properly irl.

So well said! I was mildly pissy at Dh yesterday bc he went biking, which was his wish for Father's Day, fine. He was gone 4 1/2 hours. Right into dinner time. I was like hello! I make dinner solo all week, I'd like your assistance! I had to remind myself that it was Father's Day and he rarely goes out with a friend.
mysunshine0629 that sounds like so much fun! We have 4 bdays in two months and id love to do something like that rather than a million bday parties!
It was a lot of fun! It was getting ridiculous with birthday parties literally EVERY weekend almost. We started this a few years ago, and though it gets a little expensive gift wise, it is totally worth it so the whole summer wasnt spent at bday parties.

My family is massive, so we started to do one party every month for everyone in that month. It has been a game changer for us - totally worth it as well.

So glad you finally got the project crimsonandclover! Hopefully it goes faster than expected.
Add me to the need more coffee group. I'm sending H out to Starbucks as I type because I am all out of creamer! I thought after DD's little 3am party she'd sleep in late. Ha ha ha ha. Jokes on me. Good thing she is so stinkin' cute!
We had a busy weekend between a bday party for DS's friends, his karate yellow belt promotion and Father's day. All in all a good weekend but it went by way to fast. Now back to the grind. I'm WFH. It's supposed to hit 120 today. DNW to get in my car after baking in that all day.

I want coffee right now but it's after 10am (DD2 can not handle me having coffee after 10) so no coffee for me. Water it is. This weekend was not too bad. Friday I made no bake lactation cookies. They aren't too bad and they are working. Saturday we packed up to do an overnight at the family cabin. We surprised my parents as they were only expecting us for the day on Sunday. DD2 actually let other people hold her for a bit. I was able to help make dinner without having her in my arms. Same with breakfast. She did really good overnight there which is a relief because DD1 still is restless at night there. DD2's diaper rash isn't getting any better only worse so we are going to the dr soon.
No coffee for me either. We have none in the house, and by the time we get started on our errands for the day it will be too late, unless Iwant to take a sleeping pill to counteract the caffeine. M's down for her nap and as soon as she's up we're going to see about getting my, H's and S's eyes tested, and to get specs for me and H. I'm pretty sure S won't need them for a couple of years.

Do you have a recipe for the lactation cookies? I'm desperate to increase my supply. Eta: Hope your DD's diaper rash clears up; when my DS used to get bad rashes we slathered him with triple paste and powder, and only wiped poop diapers and used wet washcloths. I will say a few times it was a yeast rash and we needed a prescription.

I just dropped dd1 off at a toddler day camp. It's her first solo kid activity! I'm hanging out outside a coffee shop with dd2 - it feels so weird to only have one kid with me! Dd2 is enjoying the one on one attention, though.

It's so annoying that when you search for "preschool snack ideas" a million, crazy things pop up -- so few of them actually useful. I'm really not trying to impress anyone by sending dd1 to day camp with apples and peanut butter crafted into an intricate snail. I'm also not looking for ideas on how to make a family sculpture out of cheese and toothpicks. Just some regular snack ideas would be fine, Internet.
H and I both need new glasses. S doesn't *yet*. He has to go back tomorrow because he has a slight stigmatism, that they're fairly certain will get worse. So they want a baseline measurement for comparison later. So we're going back tomorrow, and then to order our glasses.
Hi ladies! So I've been working a ton as usual but not on here as much mainly because my kid hasn't slept in a week. Like up every 30 min to an hour refusing to go back down kind of not sleeping. I'm losing my mind. Is there such thing as a 5 month sleep regression? There's not enough coffee in the world for this nonsense. And we're so good about bedtime routine, dark quiet room, white noise.
Unrelated, is anyone else insanely hungry when breastfeeding? I swear I'm eating double what I ate when I was pregnant. It's going to be sad when we wean and I have to stop eating like a frat boy.

My dd2 sucked at sleep after the 4mw and it lasted ...2years? Sorry. I hope that's not the case for you guys. Keep this in mind when you consider sleep training. I feel much less terrible about cio knowing how often she would be up, not that cio ever worked for her... Anyway, yes, give me all the food. I have been pregnant or nursing for the last five years. I am not going to know how to eat properly when we wean. Also, water. I *need* water all the time.

Sobbing now at the thought of 2 years of this... Oh well, bring on all the food, and yes all the water!

When I say dd3 was a surprise I mean it. We had sex three times between dd2s birth and dd3s conception. I have never been so tired in my life. Never. Not even now.

Are there any food restrictions at her camp? Like peanuts or anything?
