I just wrote out a response with a bunch of children's books, then realized you probably meant adult books. Yeah, I haven't gotten to read one of those lately. But, if you want my opinion of any little golden books, let me know!
I can't get into Leaving Time. I was going from Game of Thrones to Leaving Time, so I guess my mind was still all "dragons, dragons, dragons" and I couldn't switch gears to appreciate it. I will try again since it's just sitting there on my Kindle app.
Mish, I love Emily! I also love Sidney and I'm glad you mentioned them because I know there are a few books of theirs I haven't read.
I haven't read Emily ' s newest book. I'm a fail.
I'm still trying to catch up on my reading. I have some YA I need to finish up. I'm way behind with Nicholas Sparks. I missed that Sophie Kinsella added another to her shopaholic series. But I think I'm caught up on her alias, Madeline Wickham.

I just finished Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult and really enjoyed it. mellochello have you read the storyteller by her? Probably one of my fave Jodi Picoult books ever! I also just finished Saving Grace by Jane Green, also one of my favorite authors. Let's see, who else. Liane Moriarty is great, as is Jennifer Weiner. I love Jen Lancaster. She wrote Bitter is the New Black and a few others. I think she is hilarious.
shanbp I loved All the Light We Cannot See. Hope you enjoy it!
Liane Moriarty and JoJo Moyes are two of my favorite contemporary authors. Everything I've read by both of them has been enjoyable.
I am just starting Still Alice (by Lisa Genova) which I think is going to be a tearjerker. I enjoyed The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion. My next book club book is The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd, which is supposedly very good.
mishkaroni I read Emily Giffin's latest in the fall and wasn't impressed. I definitely wouldn't spend the money on hardback if I had it to do over.

@lizinfl Loved Still Alice but be prepared for the tears! I read it on a flight to Japan and cried way too much to be in public..that same trip home I watched Marley and Me, geez. I can't wait to see the movis though, I think Julianne Moore will be great in it.
I'm still working on Yes Please, which is cracking me up. Amy Poehler's birth plan had me laughing out loud. Next up is Rules of Civility. I want to dust off the library card and get some books ordered for my Kindle, all the good ones have a wait but not like I have oodles of time to read.
Where'd you go Bernadette was a quirky fun read too.
Lol, I think I might have! I love Jodi Picoult. You should read alllll of her books.
Thanks ladies! I'm going to note every book suggestion and then read them all.
I have! The only one I didn't like was The Storyteller but I only made it half way. I am considering trying it again.
Have you read Gone Girl? If so did you read Gillian Flynn's other books? They are both great!
How do I get out of the quote box?? Storyteller was my favorite book! It took me a bit to get into it, but once I did it was really good!!! You should try it again! Dark places is my favorite Gillian Flynn book!

Oh, man, I love Jennifer Weiner so much. I have everything she's done. My favorite is still her first, Good in Bed.
That was the first book i read of hers and is still my favorite to this day. I haven't read her short stories yet.
Oh, I just remembered a book I read a when I was pregnant that I want to re-read. It's called the Girls from Ames. True story of 10 girls who were friends since their early early teen years. Really moving and funny in parts. I loved watching how they grew up and kept in touch and all of the different paths that their lives took.
I'm reading "All The Light I Cannot See" right now, concurrently with a few others (I do that) - one is nonfiction about the American Revolutionary War, and one on Mary Queen of Scots.
Gillian Flynn books. I'm reading the Maze Runner right now and so far it's good. I also want to read Unbroken. There is a movie about it right now which I haven't seen. But- it seems like an amazing (true) story. And also American Sniper... which there is also a movie about. #trendy

We read Unbroken in Book Club. I couldn't get through it. But, the ladies said that the first part is a little tough to get through, and after that it takes off. So I may give it another chance. The movie looks really good.
