I am so sorry for your loss. Do you mind sharing your sweet boy's name (it's absolutely fine if you don't want to)?

I feel the same way when you say that you are thankful he will never how cruel this world can be. My son died 30 hours after he was born, and it is comforting that he only knew love. He was showered with love while I was pregnant, and after his birth all of his doctors and nurses were so lovingly and kind to him.

MH went back to work the week after he died, which was rough on me. I was by myself and it was such a stark reminder that I should have been taking care of a baby. I spent a lot of time walking around my neighborhood at random times because I couldn't stand being home alone.

This board is incredibly supportive, and everyone is here for you. It can be quiet at times, but don't hesitate to reach out for help when you need it. So many hugs.

cardhard I am so sorry for the loss of your son, Ethan. What a beautiful name. Our stories are different yet all the same in the end. My daughter was stillborn at 38+4. **lc** I also have a son, who turned 5 a month after we lost my daughter.

I am so happy that you found us, but hate how we are meeting. Like broccoli said, this board is incredibly supportive. Please feel free to come here and just vent it all out. Anything at all. Start a thread whenever you need. I remember doing that early on and just feeling so much comfort from the ladies here.

Life after loss is so weird (for lack of a better word). I agree that it feels sort of like nothing has changed except everything has.

I'm so sorry for your loss of sweet Ethan. Going back to "normal" after such a high level of attentiveness, testing, and stress is beyond difficult.

When our son first passed away we also went to the cemetery every day. I found what little comfort there was to be had by at least being near him. We still visit about once a week and make sure he has flowers and fun seasonal items for holidays.

Like everyone has already said, please speak up whenever you need to talk or just vent. We're quiet, but we're here.

I am so sorry for the loss of Ethan, cardhard,. I've always liked that name. I am sorry you are a part of our club. I also find comfort in the fact that our children never knew pain, only love. My daughter was stillborn at 37 weeks, three years ago. I also take comfort in being physically near her. (((big hugs))))
