Hope everyone had a good night and the sick babies are feeling better!
I caught the early train to work. My train line is under construction for the summer so they are cramming 5 stops into one and the parking has been a nightmare. It was nearly full at 6:30AM! I've been here at 8:00 and found a spot before.
Glen got tickets to a hot air balloon festival tonight. The light launch starts at 8:30, with is after both girls' bedtimes. This should be interesting.
My boss, the nice one that I love, has to put his mom in long term care. His dad died a month ago. He has a brother with Down's syndrome that they are trying to figure out living arrangements for. I feel so bad for him, it's been a really rough couple of months. He's the managing partner so work is really stressful for him too.

cocopuff, I hope y'all have fun at the hot air balloon launch! That sounds like fun!
Me Before You was such a cute movie. It made me tear up towards the end but no ugly crying. I love Emilia Clarke.
I'm going to print off Callie's bday invitations today with my sister. I can't wait to see how they come out! Tonight we are doing a belated Father's Day celebration since DH had to work last weekend. We are grilling out and I made dessert and apps. Tomorrow he is spending the day golfing with his brother and Dad. I'm glad we are finally able to do something for him.
Owen woke up covered in diarrhea again this morning. This makes day number 8. How much longer can this go on?! I just want this nightmare to finally end. I know it will probably take the medicine a few days to work, but it just feels like this has been going on forever. He is at least back to acting like his normal self, just slightly more fussy. His appetite seems to be returning a little bit too, which makes it easier to keep him hydrated. I have to work all day again today too. It's so hard to be away from him when he is so sick.
We have way too many sick kiddos round these S15 parts. Hoping everyone is healthy soon.
I'm up at 4am because my son never wants me to sleep again.
This afternoon we are packing up and driving 5hrs away to lake/wine country. MH will be staying at a friend's with the kiddos for the weekend while I go to another good friend's bachelorette. Wine tasting here I come!! And plus 2 nights of uninterrupted sleep. Hallelujah for me.
It's Québec's national day today which is a statutory holiday and a big freaking deal here.
We went to my friend yesterday and put Arthur to bed around 10 pm. I have another bbq tonight and we'll see if it will go as well. SO is working (overtime ftw) soi won't have someone to help. Oh and it's 40 minutes away uhhh.
SO and I went to bed way too late, drinking beer and watching the fireworks from our room (winkwink).
I have been up since 4. Stupid period cramps are horrible woke me up out of a dead sleep. I didn't want to wake anyone else up so I just stayed in bed till 6am when DS & DD woke up. My Advil just started working & the kids just finished breakfast. I'm hoping for a better day today. I want to get us out by the pool today.
Hugs for Owen lilylove31 ! I don't like waking up with diarrhea either.
A SLEPT THROUGH THE MOTHER-EFFING NIGHT!! Like 100%!! Not even a bink retrieval! H and I still woke up multiple times, because our bodies are just trained to do so now. But OMG! It was probably from her dTap booster and her brain processing the carnival at her daycare church. She had a late nap between pedi and carnival, we got her up after 5 and she went down easy at 7.
H took A to the pedi, and of course, his interpretation is interesting aka our child is a prodigy. Apparently the pedi was "impressed" and "surprised" by Anna's development milestones. I doubt that, since she's just on the earlier side of a lot of mobility skills, but well within the expected ranges. But, yes dear, our daughter is a genius. He also said I'd been "spot on" with a lot of my parenting decisions/observations/directives. Yeah, no shit. I educate myself. We do have "orders" to get her off the bottle by age 1 (she really just uses it at night and when she is FAMISHED in the morning, because drama queens throw sippies but chug bottles) and also to get off the pacifier ASAP (we're working on it, and it's exclusively for night now). All of this I had read about and discussed with H pre-visit.
She didn't cry with her dTap booster (big girl!). Her iron is low, however, so we're now moving to supplements. I'm nearly always borderline anemic, so I'm not surprised and the pedi said it's likely genetic, but still push the meat and use supplements for now.
H wants to buy up a bunch of stocks, now that we're in a Brexit plunge.
And OMG Brexit?! (Sounds like a breakfast cereal for old people). I honestly didn't think it would happen. Scotland didn't secede, so I kind of figured a similar result would come from the UK. Wonder how the Scots feel now?

I was shocked about Brexit too. Looks like the Scots & possibly Northern Ireland are looking into leaving the UK to remain in the EU.
I'm so pissed. We've lost a lot of money overnight because of the stupid brexit. It should recover eventually but wish we had transferred out £ to USD before the votes started being announced. FWP.
cowplanet I suspect Scotland will do another referendum for independence so they can re-join the EU. This time it will happen.
This conference center has a great pumping room. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the Dairy State has a good idea how to make lactation happen :-)

My H who is English is very sad about the vote. All of this stock market craziness will level off soon enough, just rich people playing with everyone's money at the moment for no reason whatsoever because they can. Nothing will change in the UK for years. I would like to see Northern Ireland do a vote to leave UK and remain part of the EU and rejoin their divided isle. My family comes from NI and have always been on the side of independence.
In other news we just booked my future SIL trip to Ft Lauderdale in October!!!! Flight was only $177 and we are currently voting on Air Bnbs in Hollywood FL. I'm so excited to be away by myself for a weekend. It's going to be so fun!

kbeazly, wine tasting AND sleep? It's like the ultimate dream. Hope you have a blast! lilylove31, ugh, poor Owen and mama. Glad he's staying hydrated, hope today goes quickly so you can get back to him. southernpeach89, b-day invites already?! You are so ahead of the game. All I've done is declare that I don't want both sides of the family coming out. cowplanet, congrats A on STTN!
Stupid Brexit. According to H, the same type of people who support Trump voted to leave the EU...doesn't bode well for our election. I hope the US isn't next in line for the crazy train.
Headed to a playdate this morning and then H should be home early from work and we might go to the pool. Cheers to the freakin weekend!
I drank so much wine last night. I'm for sure feeling it today. After a crisply day at work and way to many scary stories I needed to unwind. My sister is coming to town tomorrow through next weekend and then my aunt directly after that. I took next Wednesday through the following Wednesday off but I doubt I'll be able to test we will be on the go a lot. My sister has two little girls one is 6 months older than DS and the other is a year and a half younger so he will have a blast. I was hoping DD would have been weaned by now but I think she's going backwards in that process. She cosleeps and I literally have to wear a shirt to bed because if I don't all she wants to do is ravishly nurse even though there is no way she is hungry. It's weird I'm not sure what's going on with if. Once my nipples are out of sight she lays down and goes to sleep but if she can see them she's climbing all over me to nurse.
I'm having major PMS today. Everything at work is annoying the hell out of me and all I want to do is nap and eat crappy food. DH works tomorrow, so I'm sure that'll put him in an off mood today too. I just feel so blah.
txshep, hugs to your ovaries, may they be less bitchy the rest of the day/week. My Aunt Flo needs a damn calendar. Second month she pops in a week early for a couple days to annoy me, then returns for the real visit.
charliefox, did you see Trump's tweet that the economic fallout is good for his resort in Scotland? Ugh. How presidential of you. And people think this man will solve economic problems ... SMH.

I want to night wean my baby before we re-attempt to sleep train her and I'm failing miserably. I cut her off after 3 minutes at the first dream feed, but half-dozed during the next two so she got a solid 5 minutes in (which for her is a full feeding). Oops.
On the plus side, bottle-hating baby is happily taking 3 "meals" a day from her straw sippy!!! This was a huge source of anxiety for me returning to work since I knew DH would be miserable with a milk-striking baby.

charliefox, Yea I got really excited about I figured out a theme and then I went down a huge wormhole on Etsy and Pinterest lol. My sister helped me pick out an invite and nailed down a date so I figured I would just go on ahead and order them. I probably won't order too much else until it gets closer to August.

Didn't see that, but saw one where he thought Scotland had already voted to exit the Uk, when the vote went the other way.
I hate everything today. I hope it's PMS because it's annoying. I don't want to be touched and the five year old is being super clingy. The damn dogs woke the baby up last night and he was awake for an hour and a half. No sleep until almost one. The dogs will not be sleeping in the bedrooms anymore.
When DH gets home I'm running away (to the gym). Hopefully some alone time will make me less crazy. <-- pre challenge, I never would have called the gym "alone time". It's like I don't even know myself anymore.

So we got the inspection report for our new house.
Neither upstairs bathroom has hot water right now, the lights/fans don't work in two bedrooms, the dishwasher is broken and leaks, the garage doors won't open, there is a breaker that is overheating and needs to be replaced, corner pops on the foundation, and some other issues we can fix ourselves.
The house was advertised as move in ready but isn't. The seller wants to do zero repairs and her "best and final" offer is $700 cash back.
Lolno lady, that barely covers the cost to get a new dishwasher put in.
I'm going to be so pissed if we have to walk away from this house. But no way are we moving in with basic stuff like plumbing and electrical disfunction and a non usable appliance.

Why would she even think these are negotiable issues? I wonder if this is why her first buyers fell through. I hope she becomes reasonable and you don't have to walk away!

I'll check back in later but we just had Asher's 9-month appointment. He had been tracking below the 5%ile curve....and today he measured in the 30th %ile!!!
Both the doctor and nurse were slack jawed at how much progress he's made putting on weight and developmentally.

I feel like a broken record with this... Are you giving him a probiotic? I would really recommend giving him a good probiotic twice a day until his tummy goes back to normal. Then just once a day.
I'm so sorry you are still dealing with this hell!!! I hope he starts getting back to normal soon.

Those are 100% non-negotiable issues. As a seller, our realtor told us (re: the inspection) that you pretty much have to offer compensation for safety/major issues. Those are MAJOR issues. I can't even pick which one is the worst... I'll go with the breaker first because fire risk and all that. I would be wary of forcing her to do the repairs, since her definition of "fixed" will be different that yours, but she absolutely needs to provide compensation. I know you don't want to, but I would walk if she is firm in her decision.
