My mom leaves tomorrow so she is treating me to a mani pedi right now while ds1 and 2 nap at home with dada then she is treating us to dinner tonight. It's a pretty raging Friday over here
We're going to lay low and just relax tonight. I'm sad that my niece left today for most of the summer to visit her grandparents before she got to meet DD. She was really upset about it too. This is the same niece who cried happy tears when I told her I was pregnant. I know in the grand scheme of things it's not that big of a deal and DD should be around 6 weeks old when my niece gets back, but she's really sensitive about those kind of things and I hope that it doesn't detract from the good time she should have visiting her family. We're going to Skype as soon as we can once DD is born. She'll like that.
I'm going to try to convince DH to take me out for dinner, then come home to watch a movie. We thought we'd have a baby by now, so have no plans for tonight or the weekend. Really just trying to think of things to fill the time while we wait for baby.

It's only supposed to get up to 90 tpday so we took advantage of the "cooler" weather and walked to the park and had a picnic. Will probably play in the kiddie pool later. No real plans for the weekend. Hoping to get some sleep. DD1 is giving the newborn a run for her money as to who can be the worst sleeper. Ughhhh
If by working graduation you mean fun Friday plans then yes I'm all set. Luckily one of my assistant principals who set up the buses the kids ride to the arena is a mom so she didn't put me on a bus. She said I can drive myself😀 I might go out to our school get together my principal sets up after depending on how I feel.
We are headed to dinner with my dad who is in town. Had DD's one-month appointment today. She is 9 lbs. 4 oz. I think I'm going to need to retire the newborn stuff, but it makes me so sad to pack up her first set of clothes!! Putting away those first few sizes always makes me emotional!
DS is continuing his toddler tantrums, which makes me so sad since my dad hasn't seen him in six months.
You guys....for the first time in over 3 years (since my 2nd pregnancy) my hemorrhoids are gone! You all are the only ones who will understand my excitement!

I went to Target and tried in a zillion pieces of clothing for our photos tomorrow. It was a sorry experience at 8 days pp.
Came home to a very hungry baby, whose diaper promptly sprung a leak while nursing. He's still hungry though, so I sit and nurse while trying to ignore the warm and wet puddle between us.
It's been a glamorous day. Good thing he's so so lovable.
I clipped DS's fingernails for the first time. It was terrifying, but he got my nipples a couple times and I had to do it. Managed not to injure him so that's a win!
I'm exhausted after going swimming and then going out to eat & then to frozen yogurt with my SILs and their sons. Tonight's plans won't take me away from my recliner and or bed. Maybe a warm bath.
I put a 3 month sleeper on DD tonight and it fit perfectly. I'm in denial. Bye bye newborn stuff! Anyone not able to use any of their newborn stuff on their baby?
I ordered the new mama bottom spray some suggested from Amazon along with the mother's love nipple cream waited all day and the box arrived and it's only the nipple cream. I checked my email and the bottom sorry says Wednesday! I paid 3.99 for the shipping to get here today. It's probsbly my fault in my state of pain and discomfort I must have missed that the spray wasn't set to next day. I could cry. I'm so so so uncomfortable and the ticks pads burn and stick and make me feel gross. Can this healing be over already?!?!
On that note a week ago right now my water had just broke at the hospital and they were admitting me. Time is flying with a newborn.

I've had to put away a few newborn things. Honestly though in terms of smaller clothes the vast majority of what we have is 0-3 and she just has been wearing those outfits and they were big on her. She is starting to fill them out finally. When those start to get too small it will be so bittersweet- happy she is growing, but sad at the same time!
It's baby time for me! My water broke earlier today and I'm admitted and at 5 cm. I just got the epidural thank you Jesus. I'll update later when I can.
titania I probably won't text you since they expect most of my labor to be in the middle of the night with hopefully a very early morning delivery.

What are you all using for hemorrhoids that helps? I never had them with DS but have them now big time from so much pushing. Any help!? I have some ointment from the doctor, witch hazel spray, and tucks and am Taking fiber supplements and colace. Is there anything else!?!? Seriously if it weren't for those Id be feeling pretty good.

Friday night consisted of me passing out on the couch at 9 with DH playing video games. Thrilling but i do so love sleep.
txmommy14 Re: newborn stuff... We had to give away almost an entire box of NB diapers. They were too small as soon as we got home, but I had packed a diaper bag before C arrived. He has work a couple NB onesies (the Walmart carters line because it runs bigger) but for the most part, we've been all 0-3m from day one.

babyzebra good luck! Can't wait to hear updates!!!
sandandsea have you tried a "sitz bath"? They gave one to me after DS1 because my hemorrhoids were so bad. I don't know ho much it helped or didn't help but you could try it.
