Ellis was 10 months on the 18th. She had her 9 month checkup a few days before she turned 10 months. She was 20lb 13oz and 29in. She now has 7 teeth (had 6 at 10 months). She is super into crawling and pulling herself to a stand. She's got awesome leg strength and does lots of deep knee bends. She tries to crawl everything. In the last couple weeks (since 10 months), she has started clapping and shaking her head as if she were saying no. She loves to eat solid food. We've been doing BLW since she was 6 months and she can pack food away when she wants to. She loves protein-- eggs, cheese, meat. She also loves strawberries, watermelon, and sweet potatoes. On a big eating day, she can eat two scrambled eggs, cheese, and strawberries for breakfast.
****loss and living child discussed***** We're queer. I'm 34, have severe stage 4 endo, and both fallopian tubes are gone. My love ("Manada" 33) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tav.in and Ca.sey at 21 weeks gestation.
She takes forever to cut teeth! Her gums are so swollen and bumpy with teeth that haven't erupted but are bothering her. Poor thing.
We are standing more and more every day and she's less panicked when she realizes she's doing it. Now once she wobbles, she can do a controlled descent. Now we dance to music, follow a basic beat with the shakers or tambourine, and now "hunts" for hidden objects and we play tag (all of us on all fours chasing one another). She's also playing hide and seek with us, though she can be easily distracted if you hide too well. She also loves to make us laugh.
Sleep is currently crap. Week of fireworks + teething + getting sick ... so, I guess we're back to square one with sleep training.
We still eat books and cannot sit still for stories. Bath times are rowdy time. So other than a bottle and snuggles, we haven't been able to establish much of a bedtime routine. It works, except that we brush her teeth BEFORE the bedtime bottle.
She understands no, but she also tests the boundaries of no while wearing a sneaky grin. We're so screwed.
