DD woke up at 330 with an accident and came to sleep in our bed after I changed her because I was not awake enough to deal with the sheets. My alarm for my medicine woke her up at 630. We did Calendar and played outside a bit before a yogurt snack then I put her down for her nap. DD is asleep before noon for the first time I can ever remember. Looks like we'll have a decent bedtime a 3rd night in a row When she gets up I'll give her lunch and then we are going to see Zootopia at a free movie fest a church in our town is having.

We are back from camping. Very fun, but exhausting too. Kids would not go to sleep so both nights we had to put them in the car and drive them around and then carry them into the tents asleep...then various wakings up... Great days of tubing/river play, then a rainy morning so children's museum and then climbing wet sand dunes, and the last day, all beach. But DD's splash guard rode up and now she has a terrible burn on her lower back...and DH and I also have various spots of sunburn
Hmm...we aren't doing any summer academic activities...my 3.5 year-old is ready to read and likes making up stories, so I probably should try to plan more. My son has a great sense of humor and understand complicated things but has pretty limited speech, so he probably needs more too.
penguin129 we just watched Zootopia this week and my bigs both liked it.
I just picked them up from summer camp and DS has been a bit clingy. He said he had fun but that he missed me like 20 times. I hope I didn't rush him with this.
My DD liked Zootopia, but she isn't afraid of anything. However, my 4 year old cousin got scared. I think it's one of those movies that just depends on the kid.
My sister and bil surprised us with a visit. DHs brother left Saturday morning and my sister showed up Saturday night. I think I need to wrap DD in bubble wrap and permanently put a helmet on her head. Thursday when Bil showed up I needed to take her to get stitches cause she was running and all excited. Then Sunday I needed to take her to the er to get stitches on the back of her head cause she threw a tantrum and slammed her head into a dresser. I'm enjoying having my sister here, but I can't wait for things to go back to normal.

Hello everyone!
We are heading home today so it's a full day of driving for us. We want to make it in two days this time so we are pushing to get a good start. It was a crazy hectic trip but DD1 got to meet her new cousins and had a blast so that was good. I'm excited to be home and sleep in my own bed though.

@auri, ack--no good. My kids fling themselves around all the time, but I guess it's just some bad luck for you guys, as we've avoided stitches so far.... forevermorgan, we lucked out with low bugs and pleasant weather. Good bathrooms too--federal campgrounds can be really nice.

@auri Sorry to hear your DD got hurt again. Poor kiddo.
DD did really well for her first time going to the movies. She got scared of the dark when they turned the lights off and just a little during the movie. Does anyone else think it's crazy they referenced Breaking Bad in the movie?
Thanks. I feel bad for her, but she just blows off her injuries like it's no big deal. It hurt, she cries for a few minutes, then she off running full speed to the next thing. When we were in the er she was more upset about the medical bracelet they put on her foot than her head.
