Not sure how much I'll be able to help - my day isn't too entertaining. Work all day as usual, then I have an alterations appointment this evening for my bridesmaid dress for my cousin's upcoming wedding. I hate to pay Davids Bridal to do it since I only need to get the straps shortened about an inch, but it was just easier than trying to find someone else. In exciting news I tried the dress on last night and it's fitting ok so hopefully my bump or boobs don't explode in size in the next 25 days.
Also in not exciting news, I have jury duty tomorrow. Hoping I get told not to report when I check-in later tonight. Doubt I'm that lucky. My Ina May Gaskin Guide to Childbirth book did show up over the weekend so it will give me time to start reading if I do have to report tomorrow.
I don't have much to entertain you. Went to Gap earlier today (my office is attached to the best mall in the city, it's both awesome and expensive, lol) and there was a 40%off additional on sale items. I need to stop buying baby clothes! We already have some, lol. I'll probably return some of the Carter's stuff I have though.
LadyNymeria I hope your don't have jury duty!! Tell them you'll need hourly potty breaks and see if that gets you out of it.
I haven't been picked for anything - this is just the day where I sit in a room waiting in case I get picked for juror selection. If I were to get picked I would definitely point out I'd need a recess every 30-60 minutes to pee - pretty sure that would be enough to get me removed from the potential juror pool.
This is literally sitting around all day long until I get picked for the next step or they send us all home.
fem those are both cute! And you are fast. I don't know why I didn't think of eBay.
My keens finally bit the dust after 10 years and I realized it was the only place I could find replacements (since they don't make them anymore). Since then eBay is my go-to.

That sounds awful too... Hopefully you have good book to take!

unringthebell those are super cute. I'm no help though, I'm having a hard enough time finding anything I wanna bring my baby home in.
LadyNymeria I had jury duty recently and I purposely wore an outfit that made me look super pregnant in the hopes that it would help me get off. My whole group was dismissed so I didn't need the outfits help. Hope you don't get picked.
flyakite hope you get the fever under control. I don't like fevers either.
I'm not doing much of anything today. My back and hips have been hurting bad for a couple days, plus it's gunna be crazy hot again today. I hate the summer heat.

Figure I'll take my Guide to Childbirth book I just got - extra "don't pick me I'm pregnant" support, plus 30 weeks seems like a good time to get started reading. And I'll probably bring my Kindle along with the Game of Thrones book I'm in the middle of.
Not much to entertain over here. My poor girl seemed fine all yesterday, but when I went to kiss her goodnight she was hot. Hello 104 degree fever. So I've been up most of the night checking on her. Motrin brought it down a bit but it got back up to 104.5 when I could give her the next dose. Fevers scare me!
flyakite that is scary, I hope her fever goes down soon!
We just took forever to eat at a Subway. I almost got sick changing DD's pull-up. In her defense she told me her stomach hurt so I should have expected it.

I just bought a coming home outfit for the baby. I'm going to put the name reveal onesie with it and save the little brother onesie for pics with his big sister

That's a high fever. I hope she gets better quickly.

My doctor told me that you can use medicines with different active ingredients like Advil and Tylenol without having to wait the time period for each as long as you don't go over the max for each for the day and respect the instructions for each for timing in between. Not sure it makes sense, but you could give Advil 2 hours after Tylenol of the fever is back and then Tylenol again after the instructions allow you to.

I did that when DD had a fever (and with the pain from her blisters with hfm). I used infant motrin and infant tylenol. I did about 3 hrs between doses (give tylenol, 3 hrs later give motrin etc) to make sure I didn't give her too much too often.

I'm interested to see if the tree service is still working on the removal of the big tree they are doing today. I almost hope they are not quite done when we get home so we have a good reason to go out for dinner. I'm thinking CfA...
It finally cooled off here so I'm enjoying the highs of 75. It had been near 100 for too long.
We made it to MN. I really hope we survive this trip. Nobody seems very flexible. Plus my sister is kind of high maintenance - she sat up front while I sat smashed with 2 car seats, and she complained so much about sleeping on the air mattress at our house last night that I'm sleeping on the floor with DD here so she gets a bed. It's worth it to avoid the bitching.
fem, is she always that pleasant? I know what you mean though on doing things like that to avoid the complaining. It's so much easier, but not great for your body. Hang in there!
