My 2.5 year old loves trash day too. Luckily we have to hire out companies individually in our neighborhood, so everyone on our block has a different day/truck. He loves it!
DS has an ear infection, so we are just hanging out at home today. He's being a trooper about it now, but it was a tough night.

lennonkdc They gave me a ton of stuff at the hospital (tucks pads, nipple cream, etc.) so I didn't use any of the stuff I brought. Bring your own pillow with a different colored pillowcase (not white) so it doesn't get mixed up. Those hospital pillows are terrible.
This won't apply to everyone, but DS was so big that he didn't fit into the newborn hat/outfit I brought (and had already had monogrammed) so I was glad I had a spare that was 0-3 months. We also had to change the settings on the car seat belt because he was too big for the NB settings. We had to google the pdf of the manual because we were both so nervous that we totally forgot how to do it.

I bought the same exact set of onesies in newborn and 3 month size because I was like "What if my kid is too big for the newborn stuff?? What will he wear??" ::meltdown::

You are more prepared than I was! I was SO irrationally disappointed that the outfit I agonized over didn't work and I had to take him out in a plain sleeper.
Re coming home outfit- we had two one newborn and another 0-3 I was shocked when she needed the newborn I was anticipating a bigger baby I guess so tiny came home in a little sleeper
gratefulgirl, be sure you're eating enough calories. You can do as much as you want of extra meats, cheeses, pickles, and whatever else is carb free to make sure you get your calories. My dr said a lot of new diabetics lose weight at first because of diet changes, thus ketone testing.
Salads are great low carb foods but have no calories either.
lennonkdc for a summer baby I personally wouldn't bother with a hair dryer. I brought one when I had my January baby so I wouldn't have to leave the hospital with wet hair in cold weather. But in July/August? Meh. I brought my Boppy the second time and was glad I did
I think my metabolism finally realized I am pregnant. I woke up hungry this morning, which never happens. So I ate sunbutter toast and cherries at 8. By noon I had the headachy, shakey weak feeling and needed to eat again. But I had awesome leftovers for lunch so I wasn't complaining
spicysalmonroll, just chiming in that I never had BH contrax with my first kiddo. I was clueless when I actually went into labor with her, haha. My mom had to tell me over the phone as I was gritting my teeth to have a chat with her! With this one, I have been getting them all the time, including some painful ones, for the last couple weeks. Annoying!
Its gonna be around 100 again today (3 or 4 days running now) and our AC unit in our living room area can't keep up very well over about 90 degrees. Add one more reason to be uncomfortable to the list. At least it doesn't seem to bug my kiddo, lucky girl. Oh, did I mention the AC in my car barely works, and definitely not well enough? Sigh.
Also... there seems to be a baby butt in my ribs. At least I think its a butt. I try to lean over or even just sit up totally straight and feel this little goober digging in!
venyia the baby butt on the ribs was my problem this weekend lol. She burrowed further down now and I am more comfortable. Sorry about the heat and AC. Can you go to a movie?

bocaburger, glad they are measuring ahead! It made me feel ao much better knowing they are now at a good weight if they happen to be born sooner rather then later! And i hear you on the weights I am at about 9.5 lbs of baby! But its not surprising because my family. Makes big babies. My siater had 12 pounder!

Had an OB appt this morning. Scheduled an ultrasound for 2 weeks (almost 37 weeks then..that's crazy!) to check on size and position. I know the size will be totally unreliable though, as the one with ds1 was really off. After my appt I went and got a pedicure.
I brought a nb and 3 month outfit to the hospital for ds1. The nb one was still baggy on him because he was so long and skinny. This time I'll just bring nb unless they tell me he is going to be really big.

Had my work shower today and it was a lot of fun. I'm actually surprised at how generous people were. We typically just do a group gift so that's what I expected. I got a lot of individual gifts from co-workers I'm closer with. People are so sweet!

dc2london, not sure who would handle Ms Obstinant 2 yo if I skipped out for a movie... haha, that does sound blissfully cold, though.
Baseboards. Seriously, why am I obsessing over the accumulated baseboard crud thats been here longer than we have lived here? Why now, when the prospect of getting down there is comical?! Hahaha ahhhh pregnancy.
hollyberry, bocaburger, so awesome the twins are growing so well! Hooray for all the squishes!
