This kid seems to love waking me up around 6 so I've been up since then I have a dentist appt today which I'm kind of looking forward to b/c it's been rescheduled three times now due to the staff being shorthanded. Last night, we had our hospital tour and wow - has technology come a looooong way! The last time I was in a delivery room was 16 years ago (which honestly doesn't seem that long ago) but so much has changed! I know each hospital is different but I love the fact that the one where we'll be delivering doesn't move you once you're there. The triaging, delivery, post-partum and recovery is all in one room - an amazingly sizeable room. And they encourage "baby in-room" with mom unless baby has needs (of if mom wants a break), then they'd move baby to the nursery. They really want to keep the nursery as empty as possible. And I think I created a monster in MH with these tours and classes b/c the nurse heading the tour was telling us her labor class was right after the tour & mentioned if anyone was interested, they should sign up for the next one. MH was all like "let's just go up to see if they have any open spots left and sit in if they do" lol! They were completely packed and the next class that's not wait-listed is when I'm at around 38w so not sure if we should sign up for that one!
Have a great hump-day ladies!! Just a couple more days until the weekend!

I had even more ketones this morning. I think I'm going to ask my doctor when we do get concerned. I think I'm eating as many carbs as I was assigned for my diet, but I'm also very active now that DH is recovering.
I'm overseeing the move into the rental house today. I'm trying to be more excited but I'd rather be in NICU. Poor h has worked so hard to make it happen. I guess i just don't want to go back to reality to much. Although my mom said she won't bring back the kids until the house is partially set up so I have some motivation to get going.
agpjt413, that hospital sounds great. I know mine also encourages immediate skin to skin and keeping the baby in the room with you. But they do have separate recovery rooms you have to move to which is kind of annoying.
I actually slept last night!!!!!!! Despite peeing 5 times, I slept!! we have Bradley Class #8 tonight. In the beginning I was so unsure if the class was worth it but I really think it is, I've learned so much about what goes on and what I don't want.
I decided to sleep on the couch last night so I could rest my back against the back of the couch. It felt so good! I'd hate to separate from H the rest of this pregnancy but it sure is tempting

Oh girl, do it. I've been in the guest bed for 2 months already and it's made a world of difference on my back. And not waking him up when I pee 5 times. We now call them my room and your room lol

agpjt413 - Props to your H. If I so much as glanced at another birthing class, I think DH would run for the hills.
agpjt413 - I don't know why I haven't tried sleeping on the couch yet! I'm doubtful it can hold the # of pillows I now require, but it WOULD support my back.... very tempting. May need to attempt tonight.
My hump day is going to be lovely because my boss has left for a nearly 2 week long vacation! I work very closely with him, so while I still have a ton to do while he's away (partially because I'm helping to cover for another CW who recently started maternity leave), things are drastically more quiet and predictable when he is not in the office. I also brought a good lunch with me and have dinner already made (yay leftover chili!) so I don't have any chores to do after work.
Question Re: Braxton Hicks - I had SO MANY yesterday. I think they started around noon and didn't stop until I was sleeping. No discernible pattern but sometimes as close together as 8-10 minutes. In the past I've gotten them while standing up/walking around, but not usually while sitting or laying down - yesterday I had them in all positions. This morning I haven't had any. Am I right in assuming I don't need to call my doctor's office unless I notice they are getting stronger/closer together?

hummingbird125, Just yesterday on the pregnancy board I was asking some of the ladies at 37-38 weeks about Braxton Hicks. They all allude to your assumption- there is no reason to call unless they become much stronger/closer. One poster actually had them as close as 5 minutes but it was still nothing. I'm actually a tad freaked out that I'm 35w and haven't had ANY.

Is it possible that you're dehydrated? Or have a cold or anything?
hummingbird125 are they painful at all? Have you had any other signs of PTL (like losing your mucus plug or bleeding)?
This is what I had over the weekend (although some were closer together). I called and they did have me come in, but I got the feeling they were only concerned because twins = high PTL risk. Everything was fine and in the future I don't have to call unless they start getting more painful/progressively closer together with a discernable pattern. So I think you probably have nothing to worry about.

Yep. I would just add that if they start to hurt or you notice decreased movement it would be a good idea to call.
I only have to make it through this week and then we're going on vacation for a week! I will need all of your t&ps for the 12 hour drive with the toddler. I have so much laundry and packing to do. Also so much hair removal needs to happen before I squeeze myself into a bathing suit.

Was up super late working last night. Wrapping up a few things for my old position before this baby comes. I have loads of energy for a change hooray!
But now I tired for staying up until one thirty:(
Today was trash day, my two year olds favorite day of the week. We run outside and wave to the truck and watch it load trash. Does life get any better???

spicysalmonroll - Got it, I saw those posts too and they made me feel like I shouldn't be worrying. Be grateful you haven't had any BH (yet)! I don't think it means much of anything - my CW never had any and just gave birth to a perfectly healthy LO at 39W 2D :-)
bocaburger - No other signs of PTL. BH haven't been painful at all, and none have seemed any stronger than any others. If they kept up today I was going to give my Dr. a call just to ask his opinion, but none as of this morning. Also , baby has still been moving around a lot, but I'm trying to pay more attention to that as well, just in case of any changes.
MFM appointment and growth scan today. I'm excited to see my babies again, it's been a month!
Woohoo, enjoy!!
At least you saw them a month ago....I haven't had an u/s since 19 weeks! That was 4 months ago!!
I know, I'm super spoiled. I've seen them every 2 weeks almost the entire pregnancy. If I ever have a normal low-risk pregnancy I'll be so anxious not seeing them all the time.
Ugh, I am so tired. Got up to pee three times last night (typical) and was up a ton with heartburn - even though I took my Zantac. I think I pushed it by letting DH put chipotle cheddar cheese on my sandwich last night. So I basically ended up sitting up in bed, trying to sleep. And now I'm alone at the office - and tempted to crawl under my desk to take a nap!
In other fun news, I was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis yesterday. Ewwww. Of course I was worried about pre-e due to swelling and elevated BP, so I guess I'm glad it's "just" a gross infection.

We love trash day too! And with recycling, regular trash, and yard waste the trucks just keep coming all day

Haha I agree with the above!! Last pregnancy we stopped sleeping together because of my snoring this one is exactly the same
agpjt413, your hospital sounds lovely! I like that more and more are moving to rooming in and having everything happen in the same room, it seems so much more relaxing!
spicysalmonroll, I'm glad you are liking you Bradley Classes.
I had a light morning- no court, no pressing paperwork, no fires to put out, so I had a plan to spoil myself and sleep in. So of course I was wide awake at 6:30am...grrr. At least I was able to wash and organize baby clothes (she has soooo many already, so grateful for hand me downs!) I have some of my own laundry to do, but that's not nearly as fun lol
I guess I should also start thinking about getting my hospital bag together. I've started her bag- a couple oneies, two 'coming home' outfits (b/c I'm indecisive), a blanket for H to bring home after the first day to get our pets used to the baby's scent, and paci's. I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to need, besides a nightgown, a few nursing bras and a robe. Should I bring a boppy? Nipple cream? Hair Dryer? Any advice from some STMs?
One of my mom's best friends likes to keep in touch, so she just called to check in. I happened to be at the park when she called. Luckily DD was happy in the swing because she just talks and talks! I was stuck in the phone for 45 minutes as she rambled on and on because I felt too awkward to cut off the conversation.
