I've been MIA because K has been very high needs. However, it makes sense. She's had a huge developmental surge over the last week. It's all happening.
She's 5.5 months and has sprouted her first tooth, transitioned to her crib in her room, started rolling all over the place and sitting mostly unassisted. She is working soooo hard on trying to crawl. None of this was happening about a week ago.
H is almost done with his first summer teaching job so I will get him back soon, which will help with both girls. I'm so spoiled.
gizmo, The milestones seem to be hitting G all at once too. I love seeing him grow but I feel guilty that I'm not more upset about him not staying a baby since he's out last one.

A friend from preschool invited DDs 1+2 over to her house this afternoon, which means I get the afternoon with just DD3 - yes!!! I got her to take a nap, so I've got some quiet right now. I've been working some but wanted to check in here, too.
Tomorrow morning I have my gastroscopy. Yippee?
And I had the first meeting with the lady from EI this morning. She just had me talk a lot about DD1 and the next step is she'll go to her preschool to observe her and talk with her teacher.

Nannies are here! She brought her sister and for the most part they will be here together. I'm liking that arrangement so DS has someone to play with him too. While he has been home with H, there has been a lot of tv parenting since H can't seem to get DD to sleep unless its on him.
DD is 5 months today! I'll have to get pictures later before we head out to Karate tonight.
Have any of you seen this lobster high chair from Phil & Ted's? www.amazon.com/phil-teds-Lobster-Highchair-Red/dp/B0019AC8GE I just picked up a used one off of our local FB Kids B/S/T page. It's practically brand new and I paid half the retail price. I'm LOVING this! We are eating out more than I'd like and DD can't quite sit up on her own yet, plus I hate the high chairs at restaurants. They are usually pretty gross. This thing is pretty awesome and she LOVES it. Great buy if you need something like this.

We saw the doctor this morning because munchkin has a fairly persistent cough. It's been affecting his sleep, at least I think that's one of the culprits. The doctor doesn't think it's anything though and we are going to turn the cool mist humidifier on tonight and see if that helps him.
He also mentioned that moving him to his own room would probably decrease the amount of wake-ups. He thinks when babies are near their moms they are more likely to wake up. I don't know if it's true for the baby, but I've noticed on my fitbit app that I have far less restless periods on the nights when I'm not sleeping near J.

Good afternoon! Just checking in. We are having a kids against mom day here. The older two will not nap, will not sleep past 530 and will not keep their light turned off. I'm not happy. Dh needs to take the bulb out tonight. Dd1 insisted on wearing a fancy dress to soccer, so I let her thinking the coach would say something or shed notice the other kids clothing and ent to wear something different next week. Nope. I'm absolutely livid, but I'm trying to pick my battles. Dd3 has been sleeping so well, but tomorrow is her 6mo appt and in expecting the shots to disrupt that Bon top of that, I'm sick. Idk if I have allergies a cold or strep, but I feel like crap.
Kids clothes are a pain in the ass. I just did a load of laundry, mostly for S, since they leave Friday night, and it'll take most of the day/night for them to dry. But I can fit way more of his teeny clothes in the washer than will fit on my drying rack. It's annoying.
I need to get shit done, but DD has started freaking out when I leave her sight and it's making things difficult. That and DS *needing* to play with (and "trading" for) whatever toy has captured her interest.
