I took DD to the park this morning and our cousin and Aunt came over with the kids. DD loves playing with her cousin. Right now Frozen is on and I'm eating popsicles.
My sister and bil just left, so I'm trying to do laundry while DD naps. I got a phone call from my pedi asking why I needed to make an appointment to remove DD's dissolvable stitches. That was fun to explain, although now we have our appointment moved from Friday to Saturday. I'm hoping things will get back to normal now that she doesn't have anyone to show off to.

Went to a park in a nearby town with the moms' group, loosely. Got lunch at a bakery there. Overall was nice to see people but timing issues and general non-coordination meant we spent most of our time there by ourselves. Dropped DD at preschool already tired, but they didn't say she was too bad. She napped in the car on the way home from school, so we left her in the car while we picked up our CSA share a few meters away. Blown off for a late afternoon playdate for about the millionth time by my "best" local mom friend...
Saw my two neighbors hanging out. I am not overweight but am casual and these ladies have the bodies of children and are always dressed up...whenever we talk to them, it's only "fishing." Like, oh, are you guys travelling this summer? Yes, we are camping. Oh, really? Where? Where exactly? What is that like? Then I say, "are you guys travelling?" and they say, "oh we are doing several things with friends." Like what? "Oh, going east, and north." And then I'll see them a few weeks later and they tell me they are going camping where we were but with friends and they have a better spot, etc. Grrr. Seriously need to move...

forevermorgan, our neighborhood is full of jerks...we live close to the university where DH works and everyone is super competitive...or many retired people who I don't see much. I need to try to hang out more at the park and outside and get to know more people. The worst people are probably here for good but the other neighbor who worships her is moving...and there is a big house behind us that is for sale too...just hoping for little preschool-age girls or even toddler boys, although terrible neighbor has those...
Baby-sitting with 7 kids sure would mix things up. I think a W night birthday party is a bit weird but perhaps weekends in the summer would have too low attendance...
@auri I watch it. I've watched the finale 2x. I'm still in shock over poor Tommen. He had no chance. DH wants to start it from the beginning and watch before next season but there's 2 seasons left so I think we should wait. But I am seriously considering reading the books again.
