What's happening today ladies?!
DD woke up at 5:30...she's normally a good sleeper but since traveling the past few days her schedule is all out of whack. A strong black coffee is in my future.

It's 4:30 here and just getting DD back to sleep. I woke up at 3:30 to her soaking wet. Cue diaper change waking her up and thinking it's play time. So frustrating but not her fault. My fitteds and wool came yesterday so this should be the last night this happens! Off to sleep a couple more hours I hope!
I have a lot of shizz-ay going on at work today. We have our lunchtime work book club, and I have a meeting that I'm running this am about some litigation. I hope I can get some work done today - especially sounding coherent and being prepared to answer folk's questions during the meeting I'm running.

I had my gastroscopy this morning, and unfortunately the Dr could not confirm the gastritis diagnosis. Everything looks fine. I mean, that's nice, but it leaves me with no answers for my awful stomach pain Back to my GP for more ideas...
Popping in! Day off/working at home today. DD2 has her 6 month well visit and shots at 1PM, so I basically just took the day. I will do some emails, but I really need some personal time. I've been busy, overwhelmed, not sleeping well, and the Istanbul attack on Tuesday really triggered my anxiety. She cut her first tooth yesterday so we're nurse/nap/snuggling (and watching masterchef) right now.

I'm just over here trying to make it to Friday. Munchkin is spending Friday night at grandma's house. THANK EVERY DEITY IN THE SKY.
I don't know what's wrong. I don't know if it's his tummy. He's adopted this more of a scream as opposed to a cry. He stretches out and then he'll curl his legs up over and over again.
On a positive note, he gobbled his sweet potoato right down last night... for H. H decided to try feeding him and that kid just ate it up. Whatever kid. I'm happy to hand over that task in the evenings to dad.
I'm ready for today to be over. Crazy at work, I basically will spend most of the day preparing for a wedding shower for one of the guys that's in our department. But I'm getting off an hour early (skipping lunch) so I can get the kids and take them to Stevie's Monster Truck convoy tonight. I burst into tears every time I think about him.
{Trigger Warning - 2 year old cancer patient} Long story short: He is T's age (around 2) and went to her daycare, we live in a small community outside of Houston, Texas. Well he's been fighting Leukemia for the last year and this last test showed he has more of his cells than donor cells and the doctors said there are no more treatments he is a candidate for so he rang the end of treatment bell and went home to try to enjoy being a 2 year old for whatever time he has left. So he loves Monster Trucks so someone started a FB page for the local community to bring out the big trucks to go through his neighborhood. WELL! This sucker has gotten attention all the way to Africa. All of our surrounding areas started asking to participate so they are now having to have it at a big raceway park in the outskirts of Houston. Should be over 300 trucks at minimum.
silverspoon enjoy the night off. Our big girls go to grandmas on Friday this week and I am soo ready. It's only 530pm-830am, but whatever. I'm exhausted and really just want to be left alone. crimsonandclover I'm sorry you didn't get an answer. Ruling things out is great, but doesn't help with treatment. Good luck! newmomma8 that would be hard, but isn't it amazing how people come together? I wish it didn't take such awful circumstances. Our last gerbil died last night and I was way more upset than I expected. Dh took care of it for me and dd said she'd draw me a picture to remember them. That girl is such a pill sometimes and then she turns it around and does something cute. I can't stand it sometimes.
We have dd3 6mo appt this morning. It was suppose to rain, but now the sun is bright so I'm hoping that means the girls will play in the sprinkler this afternoon. What have y'all don't for yourselves lately? I need some personal time in a big way.
I was supposed to go to the doctor's office today, but I can't get ahold of my friend who was supposed to take me, so I'm staying home. Plus my BIL is on his way over to drop off our gaming tables. Later we're going to dinner at my mom's as usual. After we get home and the kids are in bed, I'm going to start packing for them. They leave tomorrow night for 2 weeks.
dizzycooks, I have a standing massage appointment every 2 weeks. That is all the "me" time I get outside of after the kids going to sleep which usually is taken up by laundry, dishes, etc.
Lollipop, damn, I think I would lose my mind if I were away from my kids for 2 weeks!

Ok, newmomma8, tears are flowing here. I've seen the posts you've liked on FB but have tried to avoid it because I just sometimes can't with these devastating stories about children. That is so awesome to see the community pulling together for this little guy.

WFH again today. No meetings so I can actually get some work done. Nannies are here. DS has decided he "doesn't like other people making food for him." Ugh! This is his way of being difficult because he doesn't like "babysitters" though he had fun with them yesterday and is out there having fun playing games now. I'm hoping he'll adjust over time. I asked them to let him help heat up his lunch and maybe he'll be ok with that. Apparently he just snacked yesterday and didn't eat lunch because he told them he wasn't hungry.
Looking forward to a nice long 4 day weekend! No big plans for the 4th but H will probably smoke some pork and we'll play in the pool.
I have every other Friday off, so I am hoping to a) get a pedicure and b) catch up on doing some thoughtful things. The pedicure will be the "me" time. I need to send sympathy cards to my cousins who lost an aunt (I am egregiously late in doing this but better late than never), add photos to my mentee's photo book, and make quiches for DS' birthday party.
The train museum is being such a poop. They told me that they had availability for DS' birthday party, and I responded that I wanted to book the space. I haven't heard back yet. :/ We are going to do a 3rd birthday brunch for him on 7/31.
And we have no plans for the 4th really - we are doing the three day potty training boot camp.
silverspoon - could it be acid reflux or gas or something? DD has been having crazy gas the past few nights and I think it's keeping her up. I need to work gas medicine into her bed time ritual ...

14joa31 I'm thinking gas. He's been farting more lately and it's been room clearing. Like, I've gone to change him and been shocked there is nothing there. I haven't really noticed the stretching/stiffening so much though until the last couple of nights.

Thanks to Parenting, 2 sets of pajamas (ETA Hanna Anderson) are on their way. I look at the website occasionally, but I would never buy him pajamas at that price. Well don't you know they had 2 marked down to $10.
I've bought a lot of things thanks to Parenting mentioning them over and over.
silverspoon - where have you racked up your 6,000+ posts? I am staring enviously at your citrine status! has it all been here??? And DH was on baby duty last night. He was sleeping in DD's room, and she was sleeping in her RnP. He said she had a fart last night that was so powerful that it shook the floor!
I was dying laughing while he was telling me about it. He used the adjective "supernatural" to describe it ...

14joa31 The Ladywood Leisure Center (formerly the Larry board) sub-board over on Parenting. I haven't been very active over there last few months so I've got a awhile to go before I reach Amethyst.
silverspoon - What in the world is the Ladywood leisure center? Is it dedicated to the mission of bringing back leisure suits?
Lol, but no.
It was formerly the big long thread on Parenting about One Direction. Then it became it's own board and the name was changed to the present LLC now that it isn't just about 1D.
It all began with a spiral about a hidden romance between two boybanders. It was fascinating. It' s really expanded since then.

Woo hoo! Hanna sale! Thanks for the heads up. I was actually going to head there tomorrow to return some of dd1's pajamas that had the zipper break. Guess I'll be doing some shopping as well...
