+1 to hiccups every day--usually several times a day. Baby had them during my BPP earlier this week, so I could see them at the same time; that was cool!
It took several missteps, but I got the pack & play put together! I have zero spatial skills, so it feels like a big accomplishment to do that sort of thing. Our old house is getting new carpets starting today. The construction guy we hired to do drywall repair & painting seems to have no concept of time. Like *I* can tell you're not going to be done tomorrow, because it's 6:00 PM and there are multiple things you haven't started yet. We're hoping to get the house at least on the market before the baby, but I'm starting to lose my optimism.
Someone tell me getting the stroller color i want isn't worth paying 15% more. Please.
What stroller? What color? Tell me more things.
I refused to buy the flowered crazy Britax car seat for 15% less than the politely understated blue.
I may not be the best judge here.
We are getting a new uppababy vista. My mom is paying me for our old one.
I want the purple but Amazon doesn't have purple. The Amazon completion code makes the other colors 15% cheaper. But I want purple and so does H:( but that's like $150 between the stroller and rumble seat.
Something was signed here in NJ to increase the gas tax by 23 cents a gallon, and it starts tomorrow. Fuckers. Oh but their cutting the sales tax... by 1%... Over 2 years... Maybe...
I'm so disappointed by this. One of the highlights of visiting H's family is the cheap gas.
I am sorry @greatfulgirl, I can not imagine the stress ypu must feel. Doing it all on your own. Has YH asked the doctor about his toe? Or is this a common problem with the surgery? You are doing a great job! I hope help comes your way soon! Hugs lady!
Yes. The doctor is confident it won't be all numb forever, as am I. The thing is, he's only a week out of a surgery that can take up to a year to realize the full benefit, but he's assuming he's going to feel the same way forever that he does now. It's making me want to tear my hair out. I know it must be incredibly hard for him, but my ability to empathize is shot.
I get that Mh can get really frustrated at times and I just don't have the patience for it either. Luckily it just lasts for a day or a evening or something. Having to deal with it day after day would be super hard. You have all my sympathies.

Oh the purple is so nice, its a nice dark plum colour! Did you do a online search for a cupon or something? I likely wouldn't pay more for the colour I wanted, but then again with 2 we need to save everywhere we can. If you will always be sad when ypu look at your stroller because you went with a different colour choice? Then get the purple. We went with a blue and red combo. I wanted the rumble seat a different colour so we would always know it was the smaller one ans where it would go.

Oooooh... I see. Wow. I see why you want the 15% discount.

coffeequeen14, buybuybaby has the purple\Samantha and does a 10% completion discount on registries. We just used it to buy our Vista (in Red\Denny). If they don't have a store near you, they do free shipping for over $99.

What? That's a huge increase at once! We are leaving for vacation in NJ tomorrow and always plan to fill up on the way there and home to save $ on gas. If it goes up that much we may as well get it at home.
I just looked it up and I guess the state senate just said they are stalling a vote on it...so maybe we won't have to pay as much!

Could you use a BBB 20% off coupon with it?
The fine print excludes Uppababy, steph . We definitely asked. The registry completion is the only way to actually get a discount on Uppababy at BBB. Uppity brands and their lack of discounts for their amazing strollers. Humph.

That Taylor color isn't the purple?
Taylor shows up as a dark blue color for me. BBB labels it "Indigo."
I never got a swing/bouncer for DD because I wanted to keep things simple. Is a swing/bouncer something that you guys have used/are going to use? I'm wondering if that'll make juggling two littles easier, particularly since we aren't supposed to let LO cry too much before he gets his surgery.

gratefulgirl I had hip surgery which resulted in me losing feeling in part of my leg due to nerve damage. It returned after a few months.
joy interesting. I thought you'd be in support of the soda tax. I'm in the fence. I inherently don't like it but....i don't know. Part of me supports the effort to reduce soda intake because although tasty it's just not good for you.
Add us to the hiccupping baby parade. I thouht my first hiccuped all the time, she was typically at once a day for some time. Nnnnope, this one goes off 2 or 3 times a day, and sometimes more! It is the craziest thing to feel baby hiccups in your butt region, fyi. Just thought I would let ya'll know. Hahaha

I'm having this argument with myself right now!
We have a swing AND a bouncer - both were gifts. I want the swing more than the bouncer, but all babies are different. Maybe my kid will prefer the bouncer so I should hang on to it? One of my sister's kids hated ALL the things, one was neutral, and one really likes the swing.

I'm poor at debating politics, but I do have some - perhaps unpopular around these parts - feelings on "sin" taxes.

We have both a swing and bouncer. Both of my girls loved the swing, and it was really nice to have when they were small. I used the bouncer mainly just while I was showering or doing something quick, they were never content in there for long amounts of time.

I don't know!
B was not a fan of the swing, but loved the rock and play.

So we had both and used both. DD was a very gassy baby so if I wanted to put her down having two areas that she wasn't on her back was perfect! Someone loved motion to so the swing and vibration from the bouncer were ideal. For these baby's I have two swings and two bouncers wanted to be sure I had them in case.

We sort of have both. A mamaroo and a bouncer. They served different purposes. The mamaroo could actually put DS to sleep and he'd hang out there for a long time. The bouncer is great for somewhere to put the baby when you shower/cook. We have the baby bjorn one and love it. I'm lazy and like that I can bounce it with my feet while I sit on the couch.
