GTKY - what do you know now that you wish you had known at the beginning of your pregnancy?

That it would all work out so I didn't worry. . Also the arrival date would have been nice so we could have planned flights a little better so my mom came later and stayed later though it was fun having her here for 10 days before baby came.

That he was going to be ok. I was really anxious about his well being that I feel I did not really soak up being pregnant as much as I could have.

I wish I would have known that the worries I had about having enough love for 2 kids was unwarranted.

Like everyone else, I would have worried less (that's easy to say in retrospect). But I also would have worked harder. I feel like I'll never be able to be productive at work again, and I wasted a lot of time in the past year when I could have been building something that would sustain my career during this inevitable "baby slump".

1. It would've been okay to schedule the RCS for 39 weeks and skipped the last week of misery, NST's and BS.

2. How difficult the transition to big sister would be for DD.

I kept thinking I had to prove I was the superwoman of pregnant women and I to go go go all the time. I found it hard to turn down anything cause I knew I wouldn't be able do as much after the baby came, but I wish I had relaxed more.

I love having a boy. I had a rough time accepting I was going to have a boy, and I know my comments rubbed some people the wrong way. But you were all right - he's great and I'm excited to see things through little boy eyes and see what kind of kid, young man, etc... He's going to grow up to be.

Sorry to be a downer. But I wish I'd known we were going to lose SMIL so I could have pushed for us to see her and FIL more. I feel like I did the opposite, since I pulled the pregnancy card to keep us from driving 6 hours on Thanksgiving day for a one hour meal with them.

That leaving my previous job without having a new job lined up a month before I found out I was pregnant was the best decision I could have made and that I would be completely settled and happy work wise by the time the baby arrived.

That despite everyone telling me I would definitely go late, because it was my first and family history... I might not. I really wasn't prepared to go at 38, I totally believed I'd be still hanging out at 41 weeks.

Since she's a rainbow, it was very hard not to wish away the time til she was here. I wish I had kept notes or journaled about the pregnancy, especially since I don't plan on being pregnant again.
