Hey ladies! I feel like I haven't been around in forever! I need to catch up but the 2 kids have been keeping me super busy. Here's my super long birth story and more!
June 22
10am- hospital calls us in for induction at 11am. So we rush around and arrive at the hospital at 11:30am.
12:00 registered, cervix 1.5cm and 40%. So we immediately start monoprostil to ripen.
4:00pm nurse says dr will be in soon to check my cervix and decide what to do next.
7:30pm dr finally checks me still only 2cm and 50%. Because of the time, and trying to avoid MOTN delivery we decide to try cevadril because it takes about 12 hours.
11:00pm I'm crying because I am exhausted but can't sleep because I can't get comfortable. Every time I move the monitors come off and every time I move off my side the babies heart rate goes haywire. Nurse gives me ambien. Amazing!
June 23
7:30am wake up after sleeping for the first time in forever. Time to start pitocin.
8:30am finally feeling contractions.
1:30pm contractions are 3-5 mins apart and pretty strong.
4:30pm got my epidural and they broke my water.
5:30pm I'm feeling tons of pressure. Nurse checks me. Baby's head is right there. Don't push we need to get ready and get the dr. 3 pushes later
5:56pm welcome to the world little one!! Team green turned blue! 7lb 13oz 21in
DH was beyond shocked that we had a boy. He was 110% convinced we were having a girl. Everything went well and we got to go home Saturday afternoon.
Saturday night I began breaking out in hives. On Monday the dr said its most likely hormone related and take Claritin. Who even knew that could happen?! I've continued to break out but not as bad.
Now on Wednesday I felt fine all day. I had met up with a friend for about an hour and when I got home she had texted me. I realized I couldn't read her text. My vision was all messed up blurry, zigzag lines and rainbow colors. I freaked out because I was at home alone with the 2 kids and could not get ahold of DH. After finally getting ahold of him and going to urgent care and being sent to the ER they said its probably a migraine (never had one before ) or a post epidural headache. Who know that was even a thing?!
So yea it's been crazy around here. Oh and DH had to go back to work Monday so I've been completely on my own. DH nicknamed DS2 the very hungry caterpillar because he wants to nurse constantly. DS1 is very hot and cold with him. One minute he kisses him the next he tries to hit him with a toy. He's definitely very jealous. It's been really hard on me cause I feel like I can't give either of them enough attention. I'm forever getting upset at DS1 for being a toddler and trying to get my attention. It's hard!
I hope some day I will stop having random crazy symptoms and get the hang of this mom of 2 under 2 thing. So I can actually catch up but for now I will just pop in when I have a second! Hope everyone is doing well and congratulations to all who have had their babies since I disappeared.
I will try and post a pic and name on the private board soon but I gotta run after DS1 now!
