That pizza would have triggered insane heartburn for me!
That's what is keeping me from driving there now to eat it. It has like every topping and lately pretty much anything brings on heartburn so idk that it'd be worth it.
Whew I'm tired! I took DS and DD to the park this morning. We couldn't stay as long as I would like for DS because it was getting pretty hot for DD, but still fun. We came back to the house for a little bit then went to Chik Fil A and then to Buy Buy Baby. I bought a fan to clip onto DD's car seat to hopefully keep her a little more cool. Now DS is running around the house yelling like a crazy person. I wish he would take a nap because I would love one!
As far as going out with baby, we went to Target on day 2 and have been to a few restaurants and stores since then. I have a cover I put over the car seat when I go into DS's daycare so that all the 2 year olds don't poke DD's face. Otherwise I just rely on my RBF to keep people away. It hasn't failed me yet!
I didn't go out with DS for at least several weeks, but that was mostly because I was not doing well, not him.

Went to target today to buy a pair of jeans... Had to buy 5 sizes (so, 10 numbers) up from my pre-pregnancy size. I feel like a blimp. And while I know I won't wear these forever... It still sucks. They are MUCH comfort than my maternity jeans although to get them over my pooch they are DEFINITELY mom-waist jeans ( think the SNL commercial with the generous 9 inch zipper.).
Re: getting out in public-I took DS to a restaurant when he was 3 days old (so the day after we were discharged). We were at Target and out and about constantly. With this one, we still took her to Target (clearly my favorite outing, haha!) when she was 5 days old I think, but we got out much less because I had a rougher time with healing and managing a toddler, not because of her.
So I was up with my fever from mastitis all night, but I think the meds are starting to kick in. By 7am I had decided I wasn't going to the funeral because my temp was 102, but it improved significantly by 9am and I ended up going to the funeral. Now I'm laying in bed trying to get a little bit of rest before DS wakes up. I think the antibiotics are working quickly. A word of advice, if you start getting tender breasts or flu like symptoms at ALL, act FAST. Mastitis hits you so quickly and it's so painful/miserable (and still having to feed a baby when you feel so awful). Thankfully, I knew the warning signs this time around and got the antibiotics much quicker than I did when I got it with DS.
On another note, the funeral was so sad. The tiniest casket I've ever seen, and we were in a section of the cemetery called "Lullaby Land"-all for stillborn babies/young infants. So sad. I'm snuggling DD extra tight right now.
txmommy14, glad you are feeling a bit better. I cannot even imagine that funeral.
MH and DD1 have left till Monday. I don't know why I am petrified of having the baby by myself at night. Plus, it is so damn hot here. If it is after 12 you can't go outside with the little one. I think I need to go to the store and get myself a nice bottle of good beer or wine and just enjoy the peace and solitude that is just one kiddo.

I did the same thing. I bought two different sizes. Bother bigger than pre pregnancy, the biggest fits. Luckily they were on clearance! New goal: fit in smaller fat pants.
Im heading to target this afternoon. I may have to check out some fat pants. Are you guys just wearing loose shirts? All my tops show my 6 month size belly. I've tried wearing a spanx tank top under my shirts but it doesn't flatten anything.
We didn't do a hdbd this week. Maybe we should do a pp hdbd and show off our glorious after baby bodies. I swear I'd give the October 2016 mamas some competition.

DD is refusing to take a bottle. Today was the first time I tried, no go with both medela and dr Browns. DS never gave me any issues, this is new for me. Not panicking yet but kid I have to go back to work eventually.

Well none of my shirts that should be loose are actually loose on me...so I guess no. I look about 6 months pregnant, but I don't really care at the moment.
txmommy14, I can't even imagine how difficult that funeral must have been. I'm glad you're feeling better though and that you were able to be there for your friend.
Re. clothes that fit - I realized that I just don't care this time. I definitely have a spare tire and a pooch but I'm not going to any great lengths to hide them, especially when I'm out with the baby. If people can't recognize the fact that I recently gave birth - well, that's their problem! That said, I have my postpartum "uniform" that tends to be somewhat flattering and makes it easy to BF - jeans/shorts, black tank top, brightly colored cardigan.
txmommy14 that is just so heartbreaking. I'm glad you were feeling up to going as I'm sure she appreciated your support. Hopefully you will continue to get better.
Regarding pp clothes I bought a bunch of large v neck t-shirts some stretchy shorts and flowy skirts from Old Navy. They were super cheap and comfortable. Plus the v neck works for nursing! That is my wardrobe right now - it's like bohemian motherhood I'm not attempting jeans anytime soon... It's way too hot for them anyway.

1 - this made me laugh
2 - you are being way too hard on yourself lady! You just had a baby! And I'm sure you look better then you think you do. ❤️❤️
I think DD has pooped at least 15 times today. And she poops and pees during every single diaper change. I even open the diaper and then close it back up and wait. One diaper change today I went through 4 diapers. She needs to get a job!

soultrane That's my PP uniform too!... My maternity jean shorts and a black top. I definitely still look pregnant as well. I tried to buy flowy tops to hide the pooch. It's not working like I imagined, but has improved from last weekend fortunately.

@pbandj74 - nope. I have 3 pair of maternity yoga pants I live in and 4 or 5 nursing tanks. I just couldn't take my too small tshirts or maternity jeans anymore.

I had a four diaper change yesterday. So far my method of asking him if he is really sure he is done is ineffective. He also reneged on a deal I made with him to give me ten minutes poop, pee, and spit up free after his bath so I could enjoy having a clean baby for a little while. We shook on it and everything.
