I definitely have a clogged duct. I just broke out in crazy chills but I don't have a fever. txmommy14 you said you were better aware this time when it was mastitis... Should I just be concerned if a fever starts?

YES... If you have a clogged duct and chills I would be taking your temperature and call your doctor if you get a fever at all. So much better to catch it early, it's miserable regardless.
DH ran out to the store. G is asleep upstairs. C is asleep in his bouncy seat. And I'm enjoying a few minutes of silence without a child needing something from me. It's heavenly!
ETA: AND I can type with two hands! I forgot how much easier it is!
I bought a boba wrap carrier today. We were going to use the ergo with the blanket but I started reading about it and it doesn't offer any head support for infants and DS still needs that so I was going to get the infant insert. It was the same price as the boba and only works until 12 pounds so I got the boba instead. I just got home, watched the YouTube tutorial and am trying it out. So far so good. It does seem a little warm for baby but it's way more secure than I feared. Seems like it will work well for our train ride Sunday. Has anyone else used this yet? Any tips?

Call your after hours line! Have them call into a 24 hour pharmacy. Start taking meds ASAP. It sucks bc they are every 6 hrs (morning ans night) for 10 days but catching it Early is important!
Also, drink half your body weight in oz of water (minimum) and rest as much as possible. I'm so sorry!!!
I decided to wait till the morning to see if it got any better. I was so cold from the chills there's no way I would've gotten out of bed to go get meds. I took a warm shower, pumped, took ibuprofen, put a heat pad on my boob and went to bed with a low fever (99). I just woke up in a huge sweat, boob is feeling slightly better and i pumped more. Thanks for the water suggestion happyday. I just chugged my weight in ounces and I'm hoping I was able to clear something.
Ds has tongue tie and I think that's what's causing the problem. My nipples are so bruised and I think his latch is getting worse. I'll be making an appointment tomorrow with an lc and maybe introducing ds to a bottle.

I was wondering how you were doing with the mastitis!

Great news. I would keep up with water! Also, dd2's latch seemed to get worse right around 3 weeks. It bruised my nipples (that weren't damaged before). I refocused on her latch and also introduced a bottle (yay!!). It ended up resolving itself and my nipples are much better.
Keep in mind the fever may slightly reduce your supply for a few days. If you keep pounding the water, it should be okay. I also made myself lactation cookies and they also helped re jump my supply after mastitis.

Thank you everyone. I just wish I could find a happy medium to our new normal sooner rather than later. I can barely find time to be supportive to all of you wonderful ladies on here. Sending positive vibes to everyone and hope your struggles resolve very soon.
