Happy Friday ladies!!! I bring in an omelette guy for the 4th and the Friday after thanksgiving, so today is a jeans and IDGAF about dress code fun day
I'm at work but my key card isn't working and I can't get into my office. I'm waiting for my coworker to show up to let me in. She's usually late. Time to catch up on TCF!
Hoping I can get through my 12 hour shift today. B shared his cold with me so I'm not feeling too hot. Fingers crossed my Diclegis works as well today as it did yesterday! It's monsoon season here so it's raining which I love!!
We're going to the zoo today. I hate zoo's because they make me sad for the animals, but I know the kids love to see them and all the cousins are going so I'm sucking it up and putting a smile on.
We're supposed to go swimming with some friends today. I'm hoping the pool has a shallow enough section that ds2 can travel around comortably. Also hope no one looks too hard at the bloat-bump.

Today is our 5th anniversary. DH made reservations and got a babysitter. He also picked up my phenagran refill. Love that man. Aside from this evening enjoying my day off with DS. We might go to the park before it gets too hot.

The boss gave us the leave-whenever-you-want talk this morning! Woo hoo! I think I'll leave around noon, go to the grocery store, maybe Target alone, then home.
Or maybe just go home and watch some Downton. That seems like a better plan...
Also, I'll share a recipe with you in case you're asked to bring a dessert to a cookout this weekend - Cannoli Dip. You have to prep one ingredient the night before, but its SO GOOD! Easy to make and a crowd pleaser

I'm headed to the lake for the long weekend! We'll have lots of family from out of town in as well. My grandmother's 80th bday is in August, so we are having a surprise party for her on Sunday since so many out of towners will be here. Looking forward to some fun in the sun.
My H is in 4th year of med school so he has to do a month long medicine rotation at a hospital way up north of the city. The school provides him w a hotel so he doesn't have to drive the 2 hours each way every day, which is nice but I really miss him at home when he's gone all week. He usually comes home for one - two nights on the weekend (he already did this for like three months during third year).
So since I'm on vacation this week and go back to work July 3, I came up with him last night and just woke up. First time all week I didn't have a raging headache and nausea! But the headache is starting, I can feel it coming. But idk wtf to do now. I'll walk around their little downtown at some point, but their pool is indoors and I'm so not interested in the leftovers we have from dinner for lunch. And I forgot my oatmeal to add to my yogurt for breakfast!
Watched my nephew and LO this morning since DH and my SIL went to a mass for their grandma. All are home and I can't eat for LO to fall asleep so I can eat lunch and then nap a bit myself!

H was supposed to have tomorrow off.. now he has to work. I'm pissed. *And* he goes from working 2nd shift to working 1st shift this weekend... but somehow tomorrow is 1st shift? So he'll get off work at 11 pm, then have to be back at work at 6 am tomorrow.
Oh, and when exactly is our lawn supposed to get mowed?
Had a half day today so I've been cleaning since I got home since this place was a pig sty. I get to see DH tonight and then will be at my parents tomorrow. Not looking forward to the drive even if it's only a few hours. Ick. I've been popping Preggie pops like no other but I'm not sure if they're really working but hopefully they'll help for the trip because that seems to be when it happens the worst.
I was trying to count out 8 cups of flour for pizza dough and after losing count 4 different times, I had to ask the 4-year-old to come count for me. And then the smell made me nauseous. Dinner: 1, ShelV: 0

So... I found out today that the only other young married couple at church is expecting. I'm sure she's about as far along as I am, if not earlier. This is going to be interesting. It's also crazy because this couple got engaged the day we did, the next year, then married the day before us, the next year. Now we're pregnant at the same time (though our second and their first).
This was a constant struggle last pregnancy. Of course I had the luxury of throwing myself on the couch like a crazy emotional person- practically in tears- telling my husband I was starving but didn't know what I wanted. Now I have an 18 month old who's hungry too, I have to adult
wildflower810 hope this time you're in the lead I feel kind of weird too bc I got pregnant just a few months before my cousin, who is older than me. It was baby #1 for both families and though we aren't close I still feel like I stole a little bit of her thunder. It would be weird if we have our #2s close together as well!
CoffeeOnIce ha! Yesterday I almost cried bc my H got [food I didn't really want] for dinner but I had to suck it up and make do, since 18 mo old was getting hungry! Much different from last time when I too had several (many) dramatic couch-flopping incidents. It's actually kind of helpful to my overall mood to have a crazy toddler making it so I can't wallow in whatever hormonal tunnel of feels is trying to suck me down..
